MAME Cabinet. Though get some help if you do the upright version. You won't be able to deal with it by yourself. (I need to work on a table cabinet sometime for kickers.) And to feitclub, yes. DIY = Do It Yourself.

Oh yeah. To get the S in Junk Man you need Freeze Cracker, unless you know some glitch. Thanks for reminding me Graveworm. So sorry Guybrush, my route wins.

TAS, maybe. Console (for me), no. I have an easier time beating Freezeman naked than Cloudman. Plus I'll have the Freeze Cracker which I can use to make the weather pattern snow, so I can see the platforms easier. (And 9-10 seconds is nothing on a console. Remember, I'm a speedrunner, not a TASer as I previously stated.)

What do you mean by "You TASers"? You're on this message board too!
# of TAS movies Sir VG has submitted: ZERO. # of speedruns Sir VG has done: a lot more I just post to help. I may do a TAS someday.
It's not hard get Rush Search without Rush Coil. Just practice more.
Granted that I'm not a person that typically does fast pace games, and I was dealing with a finicky controller, I was amazed that I even got my run half as good as I did. I'm quite out of practice on MM7 now (I did my run on Christmas Eve), but if I get back into things, I'll try it again later. Though here's a question on 100% since I'm curious for myself now. Should Auto's bolt count? I rewatched tinister's posted TAS, and noticed that at the end, Auto has his bolt anyways. And it doesn't show up on the menu screen anywhere, though it does count as part of the password.

You can buy ANYTHING from Auto it's a matter if of you have the bolts. Though like the Booster Adapter is 800 bolts. Faster to search. And you can try getting the Rush Search w/o Rush Coil. You TASers can probably get it using a dash-jump...I just couldn't get it to work on a console.

If you look at my run, that's where they are. That's the fastest route. Intro Level Freeze Man - H at route split (Rush Jump) Rush Search (Rush Jump) Exit - Search just before the boss room (There's two levels before the boss door. Search on the higher, non-boss door level, by the shell) Burst Man - R Cloud Man - U (Rush Jump) First Blues Meeting (Rush Jump) Junk Man - S (Lower Path) - Die after this Rush Jet Boss Museum Turbo Man - Booster Adapter - 1 screen below 2nd Blues meeting, on the stoplight (Rush Adapter works to get over there - then Rush Search) 2nd Blues Meeting - 1 screen below giant tire through the right wall Giant bolt - search under the big tire Slash Man - Beat - Last tree (Scorch Wheel) Spring Man - Auto's Bolt Shade Man - 3rd Blues Meeting for Protoshield - Lower path at Pumpkin - Die after beating him Weapon Balancer - upper path at pumpkin, search under the Wily portrait (Rush Search) I might put in some screenshots later if you don't want to just download my speedrun from SDA. And for the record, I did NOT count WP, EP, and SP tanks as they are expendable items. I almost don't want to count auto's bolt either, as he actually has it back for the ending, even if you don't get it. The only thing it does is cut bought items down in half (and added a giant cutscene). If you do, don't buy an SP tank. You can quickly pick one up in Wily Level 3 just before the boss. I only had to buy 2 EP tanks.

At least he's not modifying the videos to disguse them. Like the Link's Awakening video is perfectly in tact.

If I may speak off topic, I don't like watching any SDA videos because they are segmented. It's like watching a TV show with commercials. I want a movie.
YOU MAKE ME CRY. :( I have yet to do a segmented run over at SDA. (And my Legend of Mana runs are fricken cool.)

I have 1 idea, although minor: In A-03 (bottom of the stairs before Dracula), skip the first heart and just get the big heart. You have 1 extra at the end of the Dracula fight. Also, I'm fooling around with encoding this, but need help with doing an initial logo. My framerates are slightly off (60.09983 FMV video vs 60.09977 logo). Any easy way to get them in sync? test encod w/ subtitle, no logo

No Known Programming Errors Abused, besides falling quicker with Grant
I wouldn't call this a programming error, but a character trait. Just like the fact that Grant walks quicker. And as I said in your WIPs, you wobble WAY too much. ;_; With the exception of that, great run.

Man, where did you people go to grammar school? Say this: "Mario Adventure is a Super Mario Bros 3 hack." Now this: "Mario Adventure is an Super Mario Bros 3 hack." Which sounds right and which doesn't? If you said the right one was the 2nd one, GO BACK TO SCHOOL. ^^;;

Twitching once or twice is one thing, but man it's pure overkill in this run.

If this was your submission, I would say no because... STOP WITH THE GODDAMN TWITCHING!! Even Phil's runs had too much for my taste. Yours was pure overload.

Yeah yeah, I'm bumping this thread AGAIN. Since SDA is taking forever to post my videos, I uploaded them elsewhere. I'd thought I'd give you a link, because I REALLY want to see this TAS done. Unless somebody wants t help me with it. Because this is a good game. Normal in 1:12:27

Idea had the same idea I had, and I'm also wondering about avoiding coin collecting in the earlier levels. One level you ended with 1100, while in the later ones you had 0. Avoidable? Great run though. Especially Stage B.

If you do this run, I INSIST on a 40-hit+ ultra combo. Just don't do it in high platform stages, like Cinder's stage. Smash it into Fulgore. ^^

The 3 soldiers in the Inn scene (where Cecil protects Rydia) can quickly be done by just beating the front two soldiers. The Captain runs after that.

Admitably, even without watching I'm gonna be sad that you had to take damage and die and such, because your original run was SO awesome doing it the way you did, because I know this game is ridiculously hard. But you have to do what you have to do. Glad you got a faster version out. BTW, YES vote.
