I don't remember the exact code offhand, but there's a code you can enter at the title screen to allow the 2nd player to control the helper character. A TAS of this game should definately use this both for entertainment and to possibly save time. Although there's the "Cheat-keys and debugging codes are not allowed" rule, I definately think that this should be an obvious exception to the rule.
