This one I won't agree to out of all your points. Considering it isn't a true* spam type user like this one. I'm considering that Kaizoboy isn't actually trying to set off a bad vibe, but he has done 3 different TASes that aren't optimal judging on Re-record counts and user opinions. But Kaizo is trying to do some TASing in his efforts but doing them incorrectly. Kaizo, please take your TASes a bit more seriously and do runs that are acceptable. Yes, out of the three you have created this one is an acceptable run but you did not take time or effort to do this TAS. *What I mean is saomoore94 had all his TASes completed beforehand and then started flooding his submissions but in comparison Kaizoboy and I'll use Dimon as an example too (in the current users), try and put effort and then try and go through to see what people think.

Would it be simple enough to republish this with fixed music, if the bug in question is ever fixed?

Is it possible to dump the video with no music at all.
(I know this would sound like I'm lazy but I actually thought this out) Given that there is more than 2 tracks *looks at Pepsiman* and having the game audio on loop on all the stages it actually couldn't be done unless I killed Frogger's jumping sounds. So answer to that second one is nope because I would kill Frogger's sound too and there is no possible way to just have Frogger's sounds, unless I slaved myself to remove all game music, risking the possibility I'd destroy all background sounds and then just making a mess of it in the end.

persnickety nostalgia-watchers...
Given that I also like this game (haven't played it for a long time so it puts me in the "nostalgia watchers" too) I was actually more shocked that there wasn't any proper way to fix this. I'm not a person who is fussy over this but I am one who would like a fix with the emulator itself (see above sentence) Before this TAS even existed or Cane actually starting it. I actually went through more than a dozen methods to try and remove just game audio. To tell you the truth, it's not there. Doing that thing which is painstakingly removing game audio and risking the background audio + Frogger's audio that happens too. As a "nostalgia watcher" I prefer hearing the sounds of Frogger moving than anything else I am able to mute the game music out of my head and switch it with the normal one in my head but I cannot do it because I broke the sound effects of the game itself. Sorry

Yes but the game choice chosen was already set for Vault because 2 things. 1) Wasn't all the levels. 2) Was a Time Trail thing.

Why was it mooned even before my reply? This is Vault, because fastest maximum score is the only certain ending point for this game. The submissions tells it well. Also, #3966: Spikestuff's PSX Bishi Bashi Special "Time Trial, maximum score" in 05:13.50
Compare to its brother: #3781: Spikestuff's PSX Bishi Bashi Special "Maximum Score" in 33:53.43 That's why the "Time Trial and Max Score" is in Vault because it does less levels and is in a time trial mode compared to the other one which does all the levels and obtains a Max Score.

Woah, woah, woah. Lets not forget it was MESHUGGAH who got that glitch. People say it was Masterjun who broke the game on YouTube. Also, That one was part of the beginning of the "game end glitch" that one is pretty crazy. Which also falls into the same level as this TAS (and the previous Battletoad "geg"). This VVVVVV TAS is obsoleting another VVVVVV TAS which is apparently slower. Oh btw I vote YES, if I discard the previous runs it's still entertaining. "game end glitch" has become more known this year compared to last and year before, because there is more submissions and publishes. It is only because "game end glitch" is more done now which is able to make it more boring in a sense. Since there are more "game end glitch" TASes coming out this year it would have the feeling of being more boring because we don't have any full TASes. Anyways, that's what my theory consists on. TASVideos Tool-assisted game movies When human skills are just not enough

I second getting this version published if we have to wait some time for you to complete the next run. This run was solid and seeing that it could be improved more is surprising but seeing that it would take some time shouldn't make this canceled. There have been TASes which went published even though the Author started the TAS again asking to accept or reject as the amount of time it would take to complete.

You can already do that. You can only do it on one window of TAS Movie Editor just not between two different windows.

Overall average doesn't matter for vault/moon tier. Only the entertainment rate matters.
Oh I thought it was overall, okay thanks for clarification.
Mothrayas wrote:
Anyway, these kind of runs will continue to go to moon tier as long as the majority of people finds them (apparently) entertaining.
Would this TAS be considered as that "special" case. Since it went from Moon to Vault as it was originally intended to go after it was published? It was a TAS when accepted 68% on YES votes* and it was stated by others that it should Vault then somehow Mooned then put to Vault later. So, in near future we would see Yes votes for these "game end glitches" but overall it may actually end up in the Vault. *Edit: Clarifying: This is referring to feos' comment on the TAS I link out towards and how he accepts it. "feos: domination of posts about how good this movie is .... Votes are about the same (68% support). Accepting to Moons."

So why is this not in the vault?
Not everything short means it's boring and has to go directly to the vault. Even though out of the fastest 10 only 4 of them are not in vault. This is all down to the voter's opinion. 3 No | 79 Yes | 1 Meh Also considering everyone's vote so far 5.4 Avg on Entertainment makes it a vault score, but the overall average keeps it out of vault. The TAS is more technically impressive than completely entertaining. I'll agree that it does have it's limit but seeing what game gets broken next interests me. But hey, that's my opinion. Also don't point it fully at Masterjun. I might be wrong but this: [2100] NES Battletoads "game end glitch" by TheZlomuS & DyLaX in 01:02.68 Was the first "game end glitch" and how that has been improved and became more broken in terms of the background music is crazy (MESH's one). This also half answers your VVVVVV statement/question (maybe, idk).

Link to video Well an actual TAS has come. At the start they go into options to put "Shot" from "Normal" to "Free" which I assume is cursor speed. Also, RIP Game Music.

Je suis nul en français donc Got4n me traduit tout. Merci Got4n. "Good job".

Something I just noticed. Submission 1485 aka Movie 874: "Difficulty: Hard" Submission 4323: "This is a 3 minutes improvement on the current run. Difficulty: Easy" Oops, thanks Moth. Anyways I'll just a question now seeing how I missed something like a derp. Now I'm noting you're doing it to remove lag... so doesn't this contradict the using hardest difficulty? *reads difficulty stuff* Hmm this game seems to have the same amount of levels no matter the difficulty and same length... So this gets the River City Ransom pass I guess. I need to finish watching the run but so far I'm most likely giving it a yes.

I personally don't mind the additional tags to games. IRC chat about 2 days ago my proper thoughts of it.
[2014-05-23 18:59:16] <Spikestuff> But it helps the searching. So I kinda like it in that way because I want to search TASes that are glitched and skips everything how we have it is search up glitch branch you get everything this redefines it more and I like it more
So what my statement means if you don't understand it is that having more is fine, it's easier to condense the amount of results you can get if you combine two together. Keep something that cleans the site a little more, especially if it's a little more helpful for the user.
