Fun fact: There used to be an srcom board behind this game, and it ended up becoming those who had touch screen monitors were able to go insanely fast. Unfortunately I don't remember what the lowest time for this game is anymore though.

Score doesn't save/retain and as CoolHandMike points out you can't get the maximum score if the bot doesn't do the best drum rolls.

But, are there actual gameplay improvements beside emulation differences?
Considering that you didn't even actually check that input yourself 2 years ago, as all you did was hold the Left button instead of actually checking for variances such as mashing Left, or mashing the screen, or both in which you still break a DS screen as the outcome. Yeah there's a difference compared to yours. This is including going into Options where you didn't disable voices, and then verify if there's a combo with disabling other audio elements and making sure. It's more than emulation differences, when you actually look at what's being done compared to just holding a single button and only have slight variations.

Unfortunately the other submission was canned (it was a double submission of the same time/game) and nothing happened to this one, besides a truncation. To copy and paste what I wrote over, and to keep everyone up to speed. Hello TrueSnokido and welcome to TASVideos. There's another submission which was submitted roughly a month ago that uses a harder difficulty (Time Challenge / Director's Cut) and I'll use what I wrote there and provide here my input file of Act 1 being completed at frame 5708 (on Director's Cut). This is in comparison to your Act 1 being completed at frame 5944 (on Normal). In comparison of each sequence here a breakdown (left is yours, right is mine):
Act 1-1 - 354 / 340
Act 1-2 - 933 / 888
Act 1-3 - 481 / 402
Act 1-4 - 1046 / 981
Act 1-5 - 1744 / 1780
Act 1-5 is a fight sequence to point out that difference in time where the damage dealt and strategies chosen are different depending on the Difficulty (or my input was actually trash fire. Just like my other works). I do wish for the best on your continued work on this project, it's a solid start but more can be looked into. Author's encode can be found here: Link to video And a Light Spike to author's input here.

Considering that Citra isn't set up correctly for that-- probably a bad idea. Also 3DS main encodes are probably going to follow that of DS encodes.

Looks at previous yearly post. lmao Welcome back to 2022, where everything's made up and the Spikestuff was actually re-watching Anime this year but they didn't make a yearly thread so they forgot what they re-watched. :V AniChart shows the latest anime that's out this year or you can bring up something you watched in the past, you can use MyAnimeList to assist. Anything marked in red has been rated M (or higher). Anything marked in blue means I just picked it up late during the season, it will be purple if rated M. It will return to default when I catchup. Anime that have come out so far in 2022 (That I've watched & Completed): Chainsaw Man JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean) Winter '22: Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 (Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2) My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) - It's honestly a simple SoL anime, and I think that joke page the scanlators made is probably accurate towards the people who are doing something with certain characters. Spring '22: Black★★Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall - THIS IS GOING TO BE TRASH, AND I'M GOING TO LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT. Date a Live IV - THIS IS GOING TO BE TRASH, AND I'M GOING TO RESENT EVERY SECOND OF IT. SPY X FAMILY Summer '22: The Devil is a Part-Timer! 2nd Season (Hataraku Maou-sama! 2nd Season) Fall '22: Kantai Collection: KanColle Zoku-hen - Nice boat warship. Other (Alphabetized): Ajin - Kid gets hit by truck, is an immortal being Ajin 2 - Kid that gets hit by a truck has a squad. #SquadGoals Death Note - Still didn't care for it. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean) - Part 1 of Lesbian Jailhouse Rock. Parasyte: The Maxim (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu)

Meanwhile I may try resyncing on a stable release.
There's no way to backport this input to a previous stable release of DeSmuME due to the changes from the past 7ish years between the current build and 0.9.11 and also due to the game's RNG. The only solution to this is getting a stable release of DeSmuME from zeromus to come out practically now as the builds solve the biggest issues that are in 0.9.10 and 0.9.11. Sidebar the savestate flag on the site is a false flag, since you can remove that line in the input and it'll still sync.

The site is able to upload it fine without the zip file User movie #637833467812144281. Is there's something up with how you're zipping up your file with your program of choice that's making the error?

Straight conversion to Hawk. No work done for resyncing or anything. Was going to work on the resync to Hawk but didn't want to deal with Map RNG.

And your example for this shows over 5k times of re-recording.
That's why I said to take your time in my other post, you'll find stuff that you didn't consider before such as the 2-hit attack I showcased. (Also that 5k is a bit of an explosion for other reasons, it's actually around 3k so whoops.)
M1D wrote:
Could you tell me the level of speed you chose when recording, and do you use Auto-fire Input?
I'm using BizHawk's inbuilt input piano roll called "TAStudio" (Tools > TAStudio). This gives me time to access the inputs I want to make and adjust it about and to take time to know what to do.

Anyway, have you ever played this game before? I could see that you are experienced and kinda familiar with the game.
Thanks for the compliment, but no, I have never played this game before. The routing is based on what you have showcased, so I looked at that as reference to figure out what I was meant to do.

this is my third attempt of the game.
Take your time, patience is the important thing here. That being said, here's the entire Act 1 done on Director's Cut difficulty which is equivalent to Time Challenge in terms of damage dealt and taken. It's 1189 frames faster (gameplay alone) that the submission file. You can use it as reference, see what I did in my input, and capitalize over it. Best of luck improving over it.

First I'm going to provide a correction to the author's verification movie it erases Slot 1 and 2 making them accessible from the start as "Reset Memory" would delete the unlocks from the game (and in making this post I just found out there's a cheat that allows you to unlock these faster). Second. I don't think this should be branched, or well using this mode as it's just the game with a timer counting down in the bottom left running at whatever difficulty it's equivalent to. In saying that, I also have my own file which is 307 frames faster (gameplay alone) before entering the swarm of enemies fight. The author has a lot of very RTA like input going on with mashing about before the title screen (that's input being held down) and late start presses when they're needed to be sooner, basically saying there's a lot of room to be cleaned up. It's a good opener by the author, but there's a lot of room to be improved. Best of luck.

This is a verification. It shows I go through the Normal Mode and the Director's Cut Mode using legitimate method.
Just a heads up it's better to upload your verification over here in the User Files so it's not a submission.

Have no idea how to open a QuickNes movie and make it use NesHawk without getting multiple different errors while using TAStudio and doing this.
Basically just make an NESHawk movie and then extract contents of both of them and move the input and select parts of the header file (so author name, rerecord count) and then rezip it up again. Converted to NESHawk input.

Tools > Multi-disk Burner System: PSX Find the files, and call it whatever you like at the top. You have created an .xml file for your multi-disk games. Go into your folders: PSX / SaveRAM. Find your original Resident Evil 2 SaveRAM file and make a copy of it. Rename that SaveRAM file to the same name as your xml file. There you can now do B Scenario.

Can both of you just double/triple check the avs script you're using is the same as the GitHub since you're both referring to it. As despoa you're writing lines that don't actually link up to what you mean. And xRavenXP yours says "I don't know what 'file' means. encode.avs, line 198" where the last time "file" is referred to is at 173. In the version of the script I'm referring to, remove the lines 125 - 129 and 172 - 176. Rewrite Line 177 as "last = resized". To write it out the lines to be removed is (125 - 129):
Language: avs

# Pick logo file file = hd \ ? "hdlogo.png" \ : "logo.png" # file = !hd ? "logo34.png" : "hdlogo34.png"
And (172 - 177):
Language: avs

# Logo logoVideo = ImageSource(file=file, start=0, end=int((resized.FrameRate * 2) - 1), fps=resized.FrameRate) \ .ConvertToRGB32().AssumeFPS(resized) logoAudio = BlankClip(logoVideo, audio_rate=resized.AudioRate, channels=resized.AudioChannels) logo = AudioDub(logoVideo, logoAudio).Lanczos4Resize(resized.width, resized.height) last = logo ++ resized
Where line 177 is instead written as:
Language: avs

last = resized

Confirming sync in Hardware mode using 1747 (the version the author dumped with). Chaotic enough to check Software mode. I've reached up to meeting with Zelda, I'm going to say it syncs, just takes a long ass time obviously at a nice 2fps.
