Could you give us a link to these TASes, so that those of us less versed in SMB editing can look at the difference?
This is Item Abuse (SMW hack)

I should be a little more clear on what I mean with the Kirby Meta Knight combo. Overall these 2 characters are the best but at swimming levels you swap to Waddle Dee, King DeeDee is the strongest but the slowest out of all the characters. Basically I'm suggesting for the tas in World 1 (note this is for 100% 2 player), you use Meta Knight but when there is water levels that come up (thinking right here) from level 3 swap to Waddle Dee. Also FIRE is the best for Kirby to get (in speed-wise). Just to let you know I might pick up the 2 player tas for this game 100%.

NICE you managed to get Yoshimitsu. When Jin is on the ground charge up a suicide, it would make it funny, 'cause during the time he is on the ground you can charge up a stab on yourself and then hit him on the second, For most likely a Double KO. (This is instead of the sword on ground)

I liked it a-lot it was very entertaining to watch. What you did in the first level was epic, screwing the hack just by getting a Mushroom to damage abuse and say, "SCREW THE RULES!" Yes Vote

Just remembered something as you are playing Japanese version. When you hit Slippery Climb, (Next level after Boulder Dash) make sure you spin on those spikes, if you are planning to destroy the crap out of that level. To the people who will be upset that I forgot the level order. I did not in Japanese version Sunset Vista and Slippery Climb swapped around, much like the Green Gem swap from The Lost City, which went to Whole Hog.

Sorry all, I tought that it's possible to post not-finished runs! Then we'll have to wait until i finish this ^^ And yes, it's done with an old version of VBA! Is it a problem? :/ here is the name of the exe "VBA-rr-svn421"
You can post that on the forums for the GameBoy Games area (Create one if you cannot find one). Holy shit I guessed correctly.

The rerecord bug is only on some versions of VBA. Older versions don't have this bug, and increment rerecords normally.
Yes I do know that as klmz was the person to bring it up about that on the GBA forums.

Actually, this run was probably made on an older vba, because it doesn't sync on the new version. So the rr count is probably accurate.
I had this old lua script just to display the rerecord count (I still have it), it actually displayed that 2 were being added everytime you reload a save.

AGH YELLING!! svn421
It isn't quite so clear-cut. For one, the rerecord count of the movie is 33297, not 33298.
I forgot to put around. but yeah I agree not clear-cut enough due to the bug.

Oh my I flipping knew who was dissing my videos now my own freaking classmates at my school. Sadly this tas I chucked in the air to see what will happen so I'm just re-uploading still in great quality :D Link to video JULY 3rd, Pirohiko's tas Update encoded for viewing pleasures if you cannot view it. Pirohiko is it, in total your 11th WIP on this tas (or so)? Since I see it as you're going level by level in your files.

Oh and excuse me for the high re-record count! I often use the Rewind function, and it adds +1 to the counter
No it doesn't, the latest version of VBA has a bug, when you load a state it adds 2 not because of rewinding. Voting Meh, quite obvious why, if it isn't it's a Work in Progress. Can't wait for the final though. 33298 / 2 = 16649 Due to the VBA bug as stated and known about, that's the rerecords for this tas for the time been.

It's worth checking to see what happens if you reset during the intro cutscene. Many games let you skip their intro cutscene that way. (Probably it won't work, but it'll save a lot of trouble if it does!)
Sadly I already attempted this awhile back, it doesn't work.

Okay so I had a little look with this masterpiece I used my PAL version (Adventure) to get ideas down > 1 Player - 100/any% > 2 Player - 100/any% - The Perfect Combo is Kirby (forced) and Meta Knight. > 4 Player - 100/any% - The Complete Team: Kirby, King DeeDee, Waddle Dee and Meta Knight > 4 Player - 100/any% - Team of Kirby The reason why I put a 2 player tas down is because when using Meta Knight, he is the fastest flyer, so by putting Kirby on his back/ grabbing his leg the can travel quickly. The bonus mark on this game is anyone can enter a door (My example in this is I was hitting the roof, Kirby falls off (attempted not to make him fall several times) and Meta Knight kept going up the ladder, then through a door :D).

Using a save-file simply to skip the intro cut-scene is not normally an acceptable reason to use the save-file. Save-file runs are normally only reserved for where there is a new mode of gameplay, either difficulty or a new map, and so I would say using a save-file in this case would be a mistake.
So you're saying to take the 10 minutes of an unskippable cut-scene. Edit: I'm a Dumb-ass it's 1 minute

Would it be aloud if the run starts with a save-file so it can be used to Skip the intro cut-scene (which is 1 minutes long)

Question: Will it be updated to support WonderSwan? I hope it does Mednafen isn't very helpful due to small screen size and not completely user friendly. (Sorry to the creator of Mednafen if you are reading this.)
