I agree with saturn, post that shizzle! If you didnt record the run, would it be easy enough to replicate? Could you write instructions, or, better yet, just do it again... this time recording?

First off, thanks mz, errror1 and ferret. (side note: mz is underlined red [wrong spelling] but eRRRor1 is an english word that is apparently spelled correct) This is a really cute game, even though I feel gay typing that. A simple looking platformer, but played very well by that ferret kid. I love how he rapes the computer in that end-of-level bonus (?) round. Makes me laugh every time. My only question: This is seriously a PS1 game? It truly looks last gen, and am surprised that a 2D, colorfully depicted, non-polygonal game was ever released for this console... but, again, it adds to the charm :3 Lookin' good, relative of the polecat!

Well, I have the X-men for genesis. Everone seems to orgasm over clone wars, but for me, the first one was better (and fewer people have heard of it/played it). I guess the next best thing I have is Sonic Gems collection for GCN, and Evolution 2 for Dreamcast (E2 is probably not rare, or popular, but meh). I do have an original (not Greatest Hits) of FF7. All in all, nothing special.

I hardly ever view the front page, but I agree with aqfaq. The published ones are... published. But, for example, Cheetahmen II fanboys, they will register for the forums and say "Where the fuck did cheetahmen go?! Did it get published or what? did it disappear?" Keeping it the way it is lets them see what is up with the movie quickly, and in a non-confusing way.

That perfect "screen" really kills the run. I don't like how it always zooms out, says perfect, adds a row, rinse, repeat. I also have no idea what the fuck is happening, but I assume your run is purrrrrfect. :3

Recent ratings seem to be even much higher than normal, mostly caused by a few raters who constantly gives very high ratings to new submissions, while they never seem to be intereseted in published movies and thus their ratings aren't rised as high as newer movies'.
That's the thing. You have to go out of your way to vote for older movies, when voting for workbench movies is easy as hell, and required to get a movie published on this site.

Considering how shoddily this game was compiled, I am not exactly totally surprised by this development. ^^; I wonder if an IPS patch would be permitted so the final levels of shame would be seen... I know I'd love to see it. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
Theoretically, I would say it would be a concept demo, or something of that sort. I don't see why it wouldn't be accepted as a concept demo with the patch... I can see why it wouldn't be accepted as a run. As hilarious as it is, it is still a horrid game and probably nothing more than a concept demo'd gruefood delight :(

This seems a little bit premature. Shouldn't it be tested and verified that the emulator is in an acceptable state before that happens?
If it is just talking about runs, though, I don't think there is a problem. Now, if we get all pumped and then something happens to get fucked up (leaving us without the emulator), then I would agree; it is premature ;)

I don't like the fact that a russian writes a better "paper" in english than an american.
I'm fine either way as long as the devs get what we're asking them for. I've seen the ugliest English from people claiming to live in the US even when compared to quite some not speaking English natively. Bottom line, the Cold War is over; stop your (ironic) hatred ;)
Haha, I think you misunderstood me... I think I am a pretty good writer, and I will be damned if moozooh isn't better. No hatred, just hatredly worded... let's see a Russian come up with words as awesome as hatredly! ;3

Word! [/off subject] I think there should be a way for multi-core processors to be automatically enabled, for those who have them, if it means the game runs better. I, for one, don't know how to enable/disable processors; it may be helpful for an auto-on. ...especially for the inept ones :)

Hmm, I vote for Yes/no/meh again. I, too, have stopped voting for anything. Too much brain power to give a decent rating, as opposed to a high or low number if i want a yes/no vote

Please, please, please don't hate me. I went through and made notes about things I liked/could be improved in my eyes. I got lazy and stopped adding times after the first level. I would like to say I loved the whole thing, and only made mention of things that were REALLY AWESOME when writing. I also realize how difficult playing in real-time is, so don't take the critique too harsh; just a few ideas about where you may want to improve, take it or leave it :D (FYI: I have never beaten this game real-time, so you, sir, are a God to me.) Savage lands: :28 seconds, shouldnt get hit :42 Missed jump? Nice recovery, though. :48 Hesitation for the elevator things :54 Trying to get onto that cliff, was that a double jump? It seemed like you may be able to make that, but it IS a big ass gap you jumped over. ~1:00 Ouch. 1:14-1:16 Not as bad as I thought. Those were, in all honesty, the biggest pain in the ass to get across. I would say practice landing and then jumping, but the animation takes so long that you would likely get knocked off before you were able to jump again. 1:23 Try to press the punch button only the amount of times needed 1:47 I think a jump-kick may be faster than the crouch and kick for the 2nd energy ball Shi-rah fortress (Don't remember nor care the real name) throughout: Make longer jump kicks! If you do them too close to the ground and too close together you lose momentum and the animation delays are more frequent! (See my WIP, where I sucked balls in those caves) Liking the Jean Grey ride to the shuttle. DeathBird: Try moving closer to her for that last archangel shot. You SHOULD be able to hit that. Excalibur's Lighthouse I hate that antenna thing. Wait a bit before changing into Wolverine, the elevator should then pick you up on the way up. Of course, you didn't lose any time the way you did it. VERY impressive apocalypse fight! He was a douche bag. Is that the fastest way for you to get life pods there? Future level A little shy with those douchey air-things. WTF? That purple guy is the worst attacker ever. Seems Ahab caught you off guard ;P Nice life orb trick. Mojo's Crunch Try getting closer to the edge before jumping, and you may be able to hit that silver dog that nailed you. Would the 2nd silver dog have fucked you up if you didn't kill him? It looks like you would be unable to miss those little fire towers, so I guess just miss as many as possible? Excellent control of the teleportation After the Mojo skip, you do the jump kick thing into ~3 walls (they are supposed to be big ass stairs). This kills the momentum you have, and makes you land BEFORE you can actually jump up the stair. My suggestion is to just run up to the stairs, and then jump. The final thing with a bunch of little fire towers and TVs, why not use Iceman to form a bridge over the fires? May look a bit cleaner. Ah, the reset. Astroid X Why did you jump at that wall so many times? Really unlucky break with that random guard and the three moving spike-wall things. I have always hated Nightcrawler and Wolverine's double jump. They both such balls. Another bit of unlucky for that next guard. Magneto was excellent. <Edit> Jesus Christ! I wrote a fucking book! </edit>

You look nice today, ventuz. Now that I don't feel bad about starting with an "I" statement, I am a personal fan of watching all the inputs to movies. Of course, the movie files don't have said input videos. Adding them as subtitles would make my nerd-dar go off like crazy! Gewd Idear!

Does it matter that you get hit? I mean, I didn't notice anywhere you stating that you were going for a flawless rape-fest. The way I see it is, as long as the run synchs, then a few unavoidable hits are a o k.

Since everyone should bow down to my will, I figure I will give a possible solution to this problem. I think the submission voting and the ratings on the main site should stay seperate; i.e. not carry over from workbench to published/front page. This way, the oldies but goodies which had 6/7 "better-than-average/low-great" scores will not look like shit when compared to the recent surge of the 9.99984 "perfect" games. I feel that said change would better attract viewers to some excellent older runs, that may not be rated as high as their newer counterparts.

I find that the ratings will be skewed regardless of the numbers. So many people use 10s nowadays that one cannot tell a truly great movie from a meh-ish movie. I don't think it far-fetched that some may rate movie X a 10 for both tech and entertainment, simply because they want the movie published. I find that the few people who used to vote on the entertainment/tech for published movies, when we still used the yes/no method, are vastly outnumbered by non-critical watchers; some of whome may feel they can easily give out a 10 without truly considering what the rating means. Long story short: Regardless of re-rating, the numbers are going to be misleading. That is why this system of rating fails. Horribly.
