In other words, lets you press A every moving frame with no blank input frames. That can't be what's happening. Pressing A on 30 frames per second = holding A. There must be another explanation.

Swordless, Grunz you care to publish on a site that is not a dictatorship in the future? ;D That's sounding better and better by the minute, Slowi. :)

Slowi is absolutely right. If this run gets published, I'll consider the J ROM to be green-lighted for all future runs, and it will be used in the improvement.

Well, I'd need to be able to pay for the therapy that the run will no doubt make me need, as well as having a fair amount left over afterwards.

IIRC, the whole cave/dungeon system is just one big map (pretty normal for these games). You use that to get to Turtle Rock quickly. Is it possible you could skip some fetch quests entirely by glitching your way out of the normal boundaries? I'm specifically thinking of the trading sequences to get the keys for the third and fourth dungeons. The trick used to get out of bounds in the cave before Turtle Rock can only be done there. The reason we're able to become merged with the ledge is because the sword bounces us back from the nearby skull. On top of this, moving around on the upper area has no use other than quickly reaching Turtle Rock. :/ I'm glad you enjoyed the run. :)

Stef: The hookshot glitch used to skip the ocarina song only works on objects that you can hookshot yourself to, such as tree stumps. The walls surrounding the entrance to Turtle Rock can't be hookshotted onto, so that's why it can't be done there. :/ P.S. Good to hear from you again. :)

Do you really not see why it would bother me that I don't want others uploading my work when I have the means to do so myself? As you know, my channel is also an old Director account, so I can upload my long runs by myself. I'm sorry, but even if you are technically following rules, it's just rude to refuse to remove something if the author doesn't want it there.

Wait, people actually say it as "tass"? That's hilarious. But yeah, I agree with Nach.

I noticed the text was not skipped at the start of level 5. Was this intentional to save time since there were no equip changes needed, or just an an oversight? I don't know if in this case just veiwing the text was the fastest, but it suck out to me so I'd thought I'd ask! This was tested in every place where it wasn't totally obvious whether or not the text should be skipped. It was indeed much faster to just view the text here. Superjumps save tons of time, and the second room would've been far slower without one. Also, has it been tested if it is possible to enter the egg in this version before the owl text appears? I know it is possible in the original as I've done it myself (though with little frequency, it's probably like a 1 frame window you enter the screen on or something if I had to guess). If it's possible, that might save a few extra seconds. It's been thoroughly tested. Even if we charge up a superjump, and jump at the first frame possible after the egg opens but before the owl starts talking, we still fall short by enough distance for me to deem it impossible. :/ Thanks for the kind words so far, everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

To my surprise, I found this one even more entertaining than your CB2 run, which is weird because the movement in this game is a lot more robotic. That trick you used with the moving blocks to get "above" the screen was neat. Yes vote.

That was incredible. I was totally entertained the entire way through. Maintaining momentum after being on ice is really an awesome trick, especially in levels like Cold Hard Crash, where it's done over a really long distance. Great job, easy yes vote.

To try to convince themselves that this run is a bigger deal than it actually is, so they feel more important. Obviously.

Loved the run, and voted yes, even though it wouldn't make a difference now. :P At Comicalflop's request, I've uploaded this run to my YouTube channel. It can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvl0E0i9LAM

Yes, but Oracle of Ages is a significantly longer game than Oracle of Seasons. Tompa and Soulrivers were working on OoS for almost as long as I was working on OoA, and never got past the start of the second dungeon. The only way you could get through either of these games in a reasonable amount of time would be to half-ass the manipulation, which would (hopefully) result in an instant rejection if submitted here.
