Goodbye, GuanoBowl. Best of luck. Yes, I've switched to regular OoT. I'm about halfway through the Deku Tree at the moment, and in total, over 20 seconds faster than Comicalflop/Guano were in that run they started a while ago. I'll hopefully get this dungeon finished tonight, although I'm having a small problem with manipulating the skulltulas. I'll post a video and the m64 when I'm done.

Tompa's probably considered that already, but you can never be sure. *waits for his reply*

After a long wait, here is the next work-in-progress for the Oracle of Ages run. The real reason I hadn't been posting any WIPs lately was because I've been, in secret, re-doing the run from the start. I simply wasn't satisfied with the level of optimisation in my first attempt, so after re-doing it with new time-savers and routes, I managed to save 940 frames, or 15.67 seconds. So anyone who wants to watch this should watch the entire thing, and not just fast-forward through the first two dungeons. VBM: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/893560708/OoA%20CI.vbm

Looked flawless. My favourite parts where when you shot the egg out backwards for the second gold croc, and it bounced around quite a bit before he ate it, and the minigame, where you waited until right before the red croc ate it before eating it yourself. Good job.

I still had to manually delete the .fla file to play that, and it desynced regardless of which video plugin I used.

No, the stair BLJ glitch only works if there's a platform below the one you're BLJing on, which is why it works with stairs. It won't work with any ledge because there's no platform right below it.

It still won't work. You can't BLJ where a slope meets flat ground.

The main lobby staircase can't be used because it's a slope, and not several small ledges like the other staircase is.

Think about it. He says "It's-ah me, Mario" at the start of the game. He clearly adds the likes of "ah"s and "eh"s to the ends of words. It's obviously "So long-eh, Bowser".

It's "so long-eh, Bowser". His accent results in him adding "eh" to "long".

2 sounds the most reasonable...The fuck am I doing 3. And I don't think 1 would be allowed anyway.

Yes, I'm quite aware that it makes it a few frames suboptimal. I don't particularly care. <_<

mwl: Yes. bkDJ: It wouldn't be gotten even if I used backwalking. It's faster to get another rupee later on. You'll see what I mean when I post the next WIP, which hopefully will be later today.

Yes, collecting the other one in there would take too long.

A MQ run will be faster than an OoT run. That's why I'm doing it instead of OoT. Regarding the anti-backwalkers: don't worry, they aren't real people anyway. Regarding you getting "off the wagon": you could always team back up with Guano. Frigz: it's been thought that it was faster for ages, I think only recently comicalflop and/or laughing_gas proved it by searching for speed values.

Here's a video of me getting from Link's house to the sword. This beats comicalflop by 67 frames. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WZRD4A27

Those just look disruptive and annoying, and the AVI should have as little abnormal textures as is possible.

Nice improvement. I can hardly believe this beats the first 1 star run by 5 seconds. Yes vote, again.
