That is way better than doing cradle twice. Can you explain why the credits are so important? As far as I am concerned, the less cutscenes the better.

Sure that's option 3, but where would the movie end? Uh, the last input required to finish Egyptian? I don't understand why this is an issue. >_> Who cares if the ending doesn't play? This is the full game, so IMO it should obviously be the way it's done. I'm also surprised the idea of codes was entertained at all.
I agree with this. My only addition to his comment would be that I would love to not have to watch the same level twice.

There are a few known time savers for the any% run. I started an improvement at one point but I haven't worked on it for a while--I may finish it eventually, we'll see. If I do decide to complete it it wouldn't be too long from now.
OMG :D this is awesome news! How many seconds are we talking here?

Ok : ) True that. The all temple TAS got me thinking how awesome it would be to see a new non-RBA run of OoT

it's been ages since I last heard anything about OoT. Is there any known improvements at all to Bloobs run? I just watched it again today, and man it's awesome!

I'd vote for jiggies, notes & honeycombs for 100%. Avoid as many Mumbo Tokens, door-openings and Witch-switches as possible to save time. I am really hoping for a gamebreaking glitch that would cut the time of the current run by Sami in half for a future any% run.

Hi there, I will have to tell you some. First of all, I'm really sorry for giving annoyance. The video I made was very trifling rubbish, I think. It was also foolish that I had made this without much thought. I made it to upload to nicovideo for fun at all, and I referred to the greater part of existing video, it is fact. As a result, however, this became just unskilled thing. I was impolite to hurt every TASer's feelings and prides. I didn't have right to make TAS, but I have done due to my foolishness. Of course I have no intention to submit this, and I hope for forgetting me and my video. Sorry for my poor writing but I am a novice English learner.
Great work with the run abeshi : ) a lot of us enjoyed it!

Not that I agree on the tone that Mr Grunz has used in his last few posts, but I feel that what he's said in relation to you has pretty much been confirmed.
Flaming me doesn't help your argument. I am fine with being wrong, as long as you are able to point out where and why my reasoning is wrong. What you are saying here is that me being a fucking idiot has been confirmed without providing any counterarguments to my points. This indicates to me that you don't really have any arguments against my reasoning. Though you are clearly annoyed with my conclusion. If this run gets published on this site it would be made clear in the description that the input in the early part of the run and many of the strategies overall originates from a WIP by MrGrunz. The bottom line still remains that this run provides progress from what is currently published on this site and should therefore be embraced. Constructive critisism as provided by for example Swordless Link is always welcome. And further improvements, as being worked on by MrGrunz, would be totally awesome for us TAS-fans to enjoy, should they arrive. For now this run should get published so more people will see it and enjoy it. It might even increase interest for upcomming runs down the line

Runs better than the current one should be accepted. It doesn't matter how slight the improvements are, or that it can be improved further. If improved runs are accepted then we will eventually end up with the fastest run, but with many nice runs to enjoy along the way. Right now with MM, and for a long time with OoT the fastest TAS on this page was really old and kinda crap tbh. speedrunners without toolassist had better times. If a new TAS is better than an old TAS, then it makes sense to publish. Then when an even better third TAS is made, then that will make the 2nd TAS obsolete... and so on and so on. It makes no sense to be stuck with crap and wait for perfection without accepting improvements along the way.

This guy currently has the best complete TAS ever of MM. The ball is in Grunz court now. Calling me a fucking idiot or insulting my "thinking capabilities" does nothing for your argument, neither is it polite. I give credit where credit is due. Of course the author uses the best tricks available to him, anything else would be retarded. Grunz (or anyone else making a new run) will use the "few" new timesavers found from this guy unless someone finds a bigger timesaver to replace it.

Awesome run :D I really hope he submits! Much better than the other TAS I have seen of this game. and Grunz: sorry, but it seems to me that you are just jelaous that he managed to finish such a high-quality run. Not that you haven't been doing a great job of finding tricks and planning the route etc, but this guy actually completed the best TAS ever of MM and that is pretty fucking great!

IMO the record breaking will slow down in a few months as different stars become maxed out for the current knowledge-base of techniques. XD We've been saying this since 2008. It's time for people to stop caring so much and just make the damn run.
This is the best post you have ever made :D it might be the best post anyone has ever made

link doesn't work. You get to a log in screen. (it looks like) But it's just a bunch of symbols and impossible to figure out.

The guy who made the last run with the JAP ROM made a new run: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11786255 He now claims 48:27.00 Can someone check and see if this is legit?
You didn’t need to introduce the run. Abeshi has been a member, so if the time had come, he would do it. The runs on nicovideo include this have been made for the audience on the site not for the people on the TASVideos. So I basically think that they should not be introduced without their permission. If they’d like to inform their run, they will register this site and do it. About intro skip: Why don’t you read his discription, “)谷( <OPはカットしとるぞ。どうせワシの話など誰も聞かんじゃろう。”? It’s ridiculous to explain. Well, the intro was cut because of the limited size and no one was going to watch it. And although the intro was cut, the record was not subtracted, iirc, so 48mm27ss is the accurate record. I checked. I was wrong, sorry. Here is my honest feedback about the run. I guess he wouldn’t use TAS input plugin, so the degree of optimization was a little less. The run is so identical with bloob’s that you needn’t watch, but I noticed three small tricks were his original. First is not buying Deku Stick as is mentioned above. It’s available only in (J) ver. because of the short text messages. Second is throwing cucco at the same time you take leap. Third is superslide after getting the big boss key at the Ganon’s Tower. These things should be respected. Besides these, bloob himself demonstrates “Forest escape without hovering nor ISG.” So even faster bloob’s run is now improvable. Sorry, Abeshi, but your run is now known, so I complement without your permission. When the first abeshi’s run was submitted, many criticisms occurred. He decided to submit not because he’d like to but because some member suggested him to do so. So too many criticisms are very rude. Why did not they suggest providing .m64 file instead of submitting? Many other audience and lurkers think so even now. Don’t take these sentences bad. Maybe the reason he has not introduced the run is there. He would not like to cause friction, so did I and so did you.
I agree with this guy. I think both runs are awesome! (his and bloobs). Maybe bloob can hex in Abeshis improvements in his run? I find it great that Abeshi and Bloob are pushing eachother to make OoT as awesome as possible :D

Honestly, the only future I see for an OoT tas would be the any % one. Bloobs all temle one is quite recent despite being quite outdated; I highly doubt anyone would be willing to undertake the task of updating Bloobs run. And agreed to RingRush when it comes to the low % run; there's just no point for such a category to exist any longer. That said, I am happily and patiently waiting for the any% run.
Agreed. Enough with the low% allready : ) I am really excited for the Any% run!

Since the more experienced people here fail to provide any actuall arguments, I might as well give it a go. The stick on B shouldn't count since u never actually aquire any sticks at all, the only thing that appears when u get it is the icon of the stick on B. Thx : p edit: due to the comment below I realised my last statement, which was: "In no way can this be used for anything without actually aquiring some sticks." is not correct, since u apparantly have to press B with the stick on B to get bottle on B. I therefore removed it from my argument.
