Oh sure, talk a lot of trash and I won't be offended. No really, it's ok. If you mean an emulator can beat my run, sure. But I am quite confident nobody is going to beat my run in a single segment on an N64 unit. Want to prove me wrong? Go ahead. You said it's so easy. Be my guest. Cuz I'm glad you found my remarks so amusing. Your remarks are equally amusing to me. I mean, sure - now that you've seen the labors of mine and others' works, you have a shot of doing a nice run that low, but honestly - I don't think you truly grasp this run. This isn't something done with emulators. It was five straight hours of gameplay. I never said it was "perfect", but it is pretty much major error free. If you think certain movement issues and "imperfect" attacking = errors, well, you're wrong. Missed opportunities, of course. But not errors. So I'll stop ranting. And I'll stop bragging about this run, when you or somebody else beats me (legitly).

The FPS on your video was 25.XX. Mine, as well as standard North American videos for ALttP, are 29.97. This also has me suspicious about something else.

Deviance - how did you record your run? For the time it took you to "press start" and "exit" Link's house, I was 3 seconds slower just on that part... You took 30 seconds, I took 32.xx. I believe your video is running faster than the actual SNES plays. Ok, I am positive. This video you put up is running faster than a normal run. Some of your stuff wasn't even as good as mine in terms of movements, yet you got faster on the early segments than a recent "best" run I did... Edit 2: Dude you used PAL. No wonder.

See: "Walker Boh" - for a reason why I posted this, plus Arc didn't update it on the Superplay's site when he did the last update - so he must not know as well. I'm working on ALttP, actually, right now.

I have WiFi - I can't change my IP until it goes down (which is daily with this service)...so yeah it is dynamic.

Well - actually that would save time. Two 300 rupee chests, though? Refresh my memory about this. I know of the one right next to Thieve's Hideout, where is the other right there? You only need 710 rupees to beat the game.

Well - my video is technically 2 years old. But if you mean when Trinexx explodes, hit his head - actually quite a few people know about that. GameFAQs message boards delete posts over a certain date - I know I learned of this there about a year and a half ago. Also my friend from the old ZHQ e-mailed me about it when he saw my run.

I'm glad I don't have to time my runs in frames...going into this much detail is just...heh...very meticulous.

Probably not. I don't think I want to do it and I don't think anyone would want to watch it. Time to move onto another Zelda game.

The Screen Warp Glitch used to beat the game in like under 5 mins is a pain in the butt to get to work all the time. I tried 50 times to do that run using the instructions, and everytime the game froze at some point. And it is not the impressive of a video I would think. It's just "moving" and a final fight...not much action.

http://gprime.net/video/blindfoldedmariopianist2.php This video is CHEATED! They obviously used some sort of tool-assisted device in order to create this! No human could ever possibly do that! It should SAY CHEATED, NO TALENT VIDEO with an HOUR LONG DISCLAIMER. This video is an insult to true players like Bach, Motzart, Elton John and Eddie Van Halen. It used hundreds of re-records, slow downs, and superior video editing.

I was wondering - I was casually playing through FF X-2 new game plus with all my dresspheres maxed and all items, and I was breezing through the game rather quickly. I'm not sure how long this game would be overall even if you were flawless, but it would be interesting to see a speed run of this game I think, since you can skip dialogue/cutscenes and get straight to the action. But would it be entertaining?

Yeah, it's been discussed already - it's just something to see. I'm working on a better one with some guys at GameFAQs who have done AoL speed runs, just not for credit before. Mostly better fighting strategies and skipping more enemies. http://planetquake.com/sda/other/zelda2.html

Heh, I got to finish this AoL run soon so I can get to work on this. Although I won't be making any tool-assited runs, I am very interested in seeing what you guys turn out. Especially when you break it down and determine the fastest route. As long as you don't use gambling, I bet a human player could mimic the route.

Even with the emulator - I do not believe you will break 1:20 on A Link to the Past, unless you use Save/Quits - which I don't.

You can beat the game in just over 3 mins with the Explorer Glitch on a real SNES.

You guys should also put an FBI Warning Disclaimer, and the Interpol Disclaimer, and some commercials before it, and some previews of other runs, and a gift card promo.

How I do it: Spin the stick around all the way one full time, and anytime after hit B - and continue swirling the stick as fast as you can while pressing B when the stick is at the "top" - pushed up. You start your rotations from there, at least I do - before performing the spin attack.

Has anyone here maxed out the Lulu's overdrive for the best spells she can use? It invovles rotating the right analog stick on a PS2 controller.

Yeah, I'm doing my AoL run this weekend in between beating some of SnapDragon's FSA times. I've gotten way too many requests recently to get a better ALttP time. Since I'm going to get the LoZ/AoL WRs and am sending the tapes to TG, I guess I'll do ALttP before I go home. We've nailed down a pretty solid route now, and my fighting has gotten far better since earlier this year. The target goal for myself is 1:39-1:41. I think anything sub 1:40 will be pretty unbeatable.
