It's spelled "prerogative", by the way.

No, you start with Luigi. Hit left on the D-pad on the file select screen.

Whoa that was unexpectedly badass..I was expecting the checkpoint SC that had already been discovered on that track. EDIT-I gave it a shot on my good old N64, couldn't do it..I only tried a few times, but still, it looked pretty straight forward on the video.

I hope this is proof enough that it was done via Gameshark: Super Mario 64 - Gameshark Water Walk Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo0k1ze7jKE

Hahaha, you guys are arguing like freakin politicians. Listen, there was in way, not one solitary way, I used a cheat device to complete the tricks used in that video. Although, I do understand some of these tricks seem to go against all what we understand is possible in the game, this should not be anyway to accuse me of cheating and/or hacking the gameplay. Who was the idiot who thought that I was using the walk underwater cheat anyways? Are you guys that retarded to think I used such a cheat, even though when I entered the moat door, I immediately floated to the top of the water. You guys still gonna fight over this? Hah, good for you, I would be more than happy to setup a time to make a live stream of me demonstrating some of the tricks used in this video. Then we'll see who's fucked more in the head than a gameshark fucking up a game. Goodbye.
I lol at you, sir, for you think you are the only one to have used this GS code before. It has been a while since I messed around with GS in this game, but I remember enough to call you out. Using the "Walk Up Hills" code posted above allows you to walk up virtually any hill. It also lets you walk underwater in the outside the castle area. But when you enter the moat door, even if you have drained the moat, you will start swimming immediately. (if you have drained the moat, you will be in invisible water). So thank you, come again. Maybe next time you'll fail less. :| Also, I'll be happy to take a video of this to prove my point.

That's different. In those cases, Mario isn't out of bounds. He's still within the invisible "box" of the level.

Anything of that nature is probably impossible, since in this game, when Mario goes "out of bounds", the game instantly kills him.

You're doing great, Sami! The route planning for this game has got to be insanely hard to do, and the run's looking great. Keep it up. :D

Was the SC you took on CM optimized? (Talking about the one where you jump the wall and land on the other part of the track.) You got a great jump, but after you landed you kinda hugged the right wall, don't know if that was slower or not.

I just heard from Mitani that you can tap A in hover and plane, but only after reaching top speed, and you aren't supposed to tap as fast..I'm not sure how to do it, because I tried and failed..maybe you should talk to them? I'm not suggesting you redo the whole thing.

My bad, I did forget the savestate. =/ Well, if you still want it, here it is http://files.filefront.com//;7025632;/ The first "run" in the movie is me HOLDING A, the second "run" is without holding A.

I did a test, and this vid will show that barrel rolls are indeed faster when you are not holding A. http://files.filefront.com//;7019879;/ I hope it's not too hard, if you plan on redoing. =/
