There isn't any point in doing Forest Temple as a child. Much slower, and you can't beat the boss.
And then there's that minor detail that if you DID somehow beat the boss, the game freezes.

It didn't desync for me..should I encode it? It wouldn't be .mkv like bkDJ's other files, but still.

I got a desync using your savestate, could be because I don't have your input plugin, but I'll try running it without a savestate. EDIT- Wait a sec. I have the plugin, just didn't use it. Let me try this again. EDIT2- Used the plugin, ran like clockwork. Great run Guano, nice boss battle in particular. I liked that jumpslash to get onto the platform with the switch (in the room with the 4 armos) and the sword glitch was activated very quickly, as was the ground jump (using a bombchu to blow it up faster, nice!)

A normal player wouldn't consider missing 1 of anything a 100% file. Anything that can be collected should be collected.
So Sami should get all gold feathers, red feathers, eggs, and health in every level?

I'm almost sure I've done that on a console before, except I think I missed the metal cap platform to the right.

I gotta say this run is really dissapointing. Moving backwards and a terrible beeping just ruined it for me.
Moving backwards may provide limited vision, but it is waaaay faster than walking, and if you think the beeping annoyed you that much, then so would the roll scream every second. If the beeping is that annoying for you, TURN YOUR SOUND DOWN. Problem solved.

Well, with the current route, maybe, but if we incorporate Bottle Adventure into the next run, we could get less than that.

angerfist, to me that is boring , I rather play the game then watch someone go through all the temples. TAS runs are suppose to be fast and a lot of cool things are suppose to happen.
Yeah well, the fastest A Link to the Past run is pretty boring compared to the all temple one wouldn't you agree?
He also said it was supposed to have "a lot of cool things" and that only had 1 or 2 cool things.

4. Go to fishing pond and steal rod with hover boots
steal rod O_o?
Yes, in 1.0 you can run out over the water with the hover boots, and press b to cast, and then you will be able to leave the fishing pond with the fishing rod still on B.

You beat me to posting that :P Anyway, I wasn't able to do it, or Ground Jump on PJ64 or Mupen..I'm hoping it's just some freaky keyboard setting that I have on..

Course 11 Star 6 (Quick Race Through Downtown): Can't collect the star in the cage in the city without the Vanish Cap.
This star has been collected using the chuckya glitch. If you havent seen this check out chuck brights videos at http://www.vortiginous.com/cbright/ You have to take the chuckya throught the loading trigger until he turns into a star. The only star on the city side is the QRTD.
Mmmhmm, but be ready, it usually takes a hell of a lot of swimming.

AKA, you probably can't run the Movie because you aren't using Mupen with rerecording. 0.5.1 is the official version; Nitsuja (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) made some changes, and that Mupen can be downloaded somewhere on this site, I'm not sure where, but someone can show you.

Ok, maybe I'm the only one, but for me the Movie messes up at Gerudo Valley. Link does the backwalking at the beginning properly, then when he gets near the chicken he ends up backwalking into the river, jump slashing, and messing around. I'm assuming I had another Input problem, but this time I can't think what caused it. I had the same plugins, Raw Data was checked, etc..So..yeah. =/ Good looking up to that point, though. ^^

Well, it turns out that the reason for my input mixup was that I was using Jabo 1.5.2, instead of 1.6. Apparently the long subscreen pause is different lengths with different plugins. However, there is one problem with the 1.6. There IS a reason I was using 1.5.2. 1.6 makes my Zelda go screwy. Some textures don't appear, so water is indistinguishable from the land near in in Kokiri Forest, and the Deku Tree is really dark. But, I watched the run anyway, and I must say it was fabulous. Keep up the good work GuanoBowl.

Well, I'm extremely new to M64 files, so I'm not sure what a desynch is (I used to use the AVIs) but if I had to guess it'd be this. After Guano retrieves the Kokiri Sword, he pauses it to equip it, but he never ends up equipping it. And then he does random movements around that area, so I'm guessing the input got messed up or something. Do you know why? How can I fix this? Thank you in advance.

spockybiemmichab, there are two ways to perform one of those spins. One is the long way, holding B until it charges up enough and letting go. The other way is called a Quick Spin. You rotate the Control Stick once and press B, and usually Link'll do a spin attack. Quick Spins can be used on bosses to keep them down for extraordinarily long times. See this video for an example of Quick Spins used to the player's advantage against a boss. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ab2mSchUFo

Well, at SDA we've discovered another feasible Bombchu source. I'm not sure if we need 2 or 3 in the entire run, but we can use 10 from the Spirit Temple 10 from the Bottom of the Well There are two ways to get to the Bottom of the Well Early. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygRYAhLcDWs AND http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzhS1osexZE Sorry if you already knew this information as I tend to repeat things everyone knows, but I'm only trying to help. :P I didn't see this on this thread yet, so hopefully I AM adding new info to those who aren't active over at the thread at SDA as well.

Hi. I'm new to this board. I just downloaded the avi for this run (thanks dehacked) But it appears to be an Audio file and not a video file. When I try to run it, it says something about an error downloading codec. Any ideas?
