Yep, they basically are. How my brother discovered it was by attempting to bring T.T. into areas he doesn't normally walk just for fun. But then we noticed how he has like, zero collision detection against walls. And he continued experimenting with this until we've come to this conclusion. You can also get behind the boss door in Dino Domain with this glitch. But there is like no point to that either because of the silver coin challenges. Oh and in the second glitch, I believe I meant to say to Barrel Roll continuously at a precise downward angle toward the beach. I haven't done this one in a while, so I'm not sure if what I'm saying is entirely accurate for this one. Maybe I'll make a recording of this one, as well.

Well, I don't know if anyone has interest in making a new run for this game, but it seems this topic has been brought back from the dead for one reason or another. So I will go ahead and share this peculiar glitch my brother has discovered some time ago: http://www.mediafire.com/?3c3qrx13byoeucj I hope this mupen video example will work for you guys. In case it somehow doesn't, I will attempt to give a step-by-step on how this glitch works just below. Step 1: Once in the Space World drive near the hall to the Trophy Race Challenge located on the east side. Step 2: Honk your horn to call T.T. near the Trophy Race hall. Step 3: Keep calling him until you've got him, with you facing toward the main lobby, glitched into the west-outward corner of the hall. Step 4: T.T. should be hovering all the way to the top of the wall boundaries. Once you end speaking with him, drive under where he's destined to land. You will then be launched very high into the air, with the direction depending on where you got slammed by T.T. The goal here is to launch yourself behind the T.T. amulet door and straight to Wizpig 2 with no need to do any of the Space World races. Also another discovery I've made is that you can get under the beach with the lighthouse in the main hub by doing a downward airplane loop. This allows you to go to Wizpig 1 immediately. Though that isn't of much use because you cannot go to the Space World without doing the Trophy Races first. You can also a similar trick at tracks such as Hot Top Volcano.

Finally, I noticed the speedrun on SDA does Frankie's trouble and gets a Gold Card. Why does the speedrunner do this if he never needs to play the Tube Parlor Game? It seems like it just wastes time.
I think it also enables you to purchase power rush from the parlor.

I don't know why you would want to skip Thoreau. That Pixl has a few different uses such as in boss fights by grabbing enemies. And Thoreau is the only way you can beat the first world's boss. Ugh...Why do I remember things about this game! >.<
Actually, the thing about that is... The game doesn't actually let you skip out on getting a Pixl. There is a message at the end of the chapter saying something along the lines of... "Mario found the Pixl Thoreau in the basement of Yold town." And then it's with you in the next chapter. So you skip the cutscene and get the Pixl anyway. Same thing with Boomer. And probably every other Pixl. Also, you can defeat the boss of world 1 with Fireburst, I believe.

I know a few skips in this game. But first, here are some glitches I found while I was doing a non-TAS run. Life-Shroom Double-Jump: 1:Buy a Life Shroom. 2:Die while air-borne. 3:On the last few frames of the reviving animation; Press the jump button. Useful only at a few areas such as skipping Thoreau by jumping past the 2nd Yold Bridge, and skipping Boomer at 2-1. And now for the next one. Mario's 3D Infinite-Jump: (I like to call it Dimension Hopping) Once you get Thudley, you can preform this glitch. What you do is press the stomp button. Right around when Mario starts to move down... Press the stomp button again. Mario's stomp will somehow get canceled. This is your time to press the 3D-Mode button. Mario will enter 3D-mode in the air. Jump and stomp again and repeat everything above. This is the glitch I used the most in my speedrun. Since it's the easiest infinite jump for non-TAS. It's a little slow due to the 2D-3D transition, but still very useful. Next glitch. Bowser's Infinite Jump: Once you get Carrie, you can preform this glitch. This one is simple. Also the first one I found. All you do is press jump and fire at the same time. Around when the fire ends; Press jump and fire again. Hard to preform multiple in a row for non-TAS. There are obviously a lot of uses for these. But here are some of the best ones I found: At 5-1; You can skip inputting the password at the blocks by infinite jumping over the wall. At 7-3: You can skip re-recruiting Peach by infinite jumping all the way to the top of the level. At 7-4: You can skip collecting all of the orbs by infinite jumping straight to the Bone-Chill fight. At 8-2; You can skip Mimi's trap entirely with Mario's infinite jump. That's about it, for now. If anyone wants to TAS this game, I'd be glad to help out with some routes.
