Is there nicovideo link for those of us who aren't members? I assume this is even more awesome than the submission last week. Probably a yes vote when I can watch it.

Yes vote. I'm glad to see someone destroy this game which caused me to lose interest in later MMX titles. Nice work

I must say, I'd be much more interested in a run that didn't count weapon switch time than a glitchless run. That said, I'll watch any megaman run someone puts together.

Thanks for the help. A nice unsigned int worked much better than the iterator. Fixed, and on to new bugs:)

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure I don't copy the dag object. My main function is here: http://rafb.net/p/NHbFWb31.html

Hi all, I figure some of the best coders on the net hang out here, so. . . In the pasted code, my iterator orderingIter loses its value between the constructor call and the triangulate call at the bottom in my code. The vector itself is still OK in the traingulate call, but *orderingIter is 0 before and after it is incremented. The only time the string "ordering" occurs in my code is in the constructor and triangulate methods. My first thought was that I was aliasing the iterator, but I couldn't see where that might be happening. I compiled with -Wall, and didn't see anything relating to orderingIter. Thanks for the help! (btw, I'm petafile on IRC, so hit me up) http://rafb.net/p/Q4IHfu55.html

Also it might be worth considering how far into the levels the upgrades/items are. The heart tank in Buffalo Blizzard's stage is pretty close to the beginning, but the subtank (I think) in Volt Catfish's stage is pretty close to the end. Not sure how much this matters, but something to check out.

Not sure if it a big deal, but the avi was messed up for me in between wily stages. It didn't pick a new keyframe until a second or so into the next level. (VLC on mac) Great movie, now who's gonna further destory mm2? :)

Would it be too much to ask for an avi(youtube would be great!) ? I'm using a mac, and I don't think Mupen works (please correct me if I'm wrong!). If not, I can wait until its published, but it sounds exciting. Good luck -nospoon

I took a class last semester on pretty much this topic. Some MIPS assembly, although not much. . . and then most of the course on CPU design. Would you suggest writing it in an OOL or does it not make much of a difference?

I'd like to write my own emulator for an older console, I was thinking NES at first, but perhaps something simpler like an atari or something would be a more reasonable goal. Anyway, I hear that an emulator is pretty much a compiler, but I don't know anything about how to write one. I know C++, some C, and I'm learning java for one of my classes(pun intended :)) and my thought was to do it in java for the whole portability thing. Does anyone have any good ideas of how to find resources about compiler coding? Would java be a REALLY bad idea because of the whole interpreted language thing? Is this realistic for a 4th semester sophomore Computer Science student? Thanks a bunch. -nospoon
