First useful glitch I ever found in a game was Combat for the Atari 2600. If you were using the wireless controllers in tank mode, switching the controller off would either result in driving in a circle and firing repeatedly, or moving straight ahead at double the normal speed.

Many runs of this back in the day were ruined by failing to jump through guards correctly. Yes vote.

There was a n64 fighting game I used to play that felt kinda like a 3d MK but with mythological creatures. Anyone know?

Penny Arcade tried to explain it, but I'm not sure that clears anything up.

There was an old arcade racing game called California Speed... if you sideswiped an AI car while you were ahead it would instantly lose most of its speed, so as long as you didn't crash it wasn't hard to get into first. I was leading a race once when I see something on the little radar screaming towards me, and an AI car blows past me going so fast the tires were smoking. This was a game with no powerups or bonuses, so the AI was cheating so badly the physics engine couldn't keep up.

I know that I have managed to end a single round on the arcade version with Yoshi with the timer still reading 40, meaning less than 1 second... I don't know if that was the result of a glitch or what, but the Shark Attack and Dive Bomb can do 100% damage if landed just right.

Watching shots weave back and forth into targets was almost hypnotic. Always was one of my favorite Atari games. Didn't feel the need to fast-forward or skip around the video at all. Yes vote.

I have no qualms about using a wireless controller. They work just the same as wired controllers, except they require lots and lots of batteries throughout their lifespan.
Not necessarily, I don't remember changing the batteries in my Wavebird more than once in the two years or so I had it. stupid need for speed

Right near the end, why did you gently open that door instead of kicking it?

Heavy Barrel was the first game I ever tried doing a TAS on, the controls are incredibly laggy... it takes 4 frames to stop/start moving in any direction.

76° inside. 77° outside. Not really warm enough to put the AC on, not much point in using the fan.

while true do

	istop = memory.readbyte(0x7E0009)
	dstop = memory.readbyte(0x7E05F5)
	estop = memory.readbyte(0x7E0E18)

-- Items, Doors, Elevators

	if istop+dstop+estop > 0 then
	snes9x.speedmode("turbo")
else
	if istop+dstop+estop < 1 then
	snes9x.speedmode("normal")
end
end
	snes9x.frameadvance()
end
Doesn't work properly with all hacks, though.

I started working on a run of Cobra Command, but never really got anywhere with it.
