In English, "putting your foot in your mouth" means you said something that makes you look like an idiot. This leads to the adage "a closed mouth gathers no feet."

I have my Automatic Updates set to download the updates, but not install them until I give the go-ahead; since the shutdown menu gives you the option to have the updates install, then power off when finished, I almost never have to think about them.

It's 'pokemon', or more accurately ポケモン. The é is there to let the normal English speaker know that it should be pronounce 'ay', like café. However, the original japanese word would be 'pokemon' in romaji, so the accent is unnecessary. Besides, most people I know pronounce it 'pokimon', so their attempt at instruction seems to have failed. :)
Technically, shouldn't a direct adaption from Japanese be Pōkémon? I pronounce it Pokémon with the accent and it always annoys other people. When I try to ecplain why it's actually pronounced like that, their brains seem to turn to mush. Doesn't anyone know what accents are anymore?
It's supposed to be a contraction of "Pocket Monsters," anyway...

When I saw Kejardon's run, I immediately thought "someone needs to do that in a TAS!" I didn't think it was going to take 2 days.

Tried it a whole bunch of times and it just doesn't seem to want to work.

I'm getting a desync right when you go in through the window the first time... Banjo jumps onto the bed, but he doesn't get the Jinjo, and then he gets stuck in the corner.

I'm more interested in supercapacitors than advancing battery technology. Take this thing, for example: http://www.colemanflashcellscrewdriver.com/ It doesn't last as long as a regular lithium-ion battery, but it charges in 90 seconds.

I just saw a Spy Hunter sketch on Robot Chicken, and that made me vote yes.

So many crazy games that could be done. Loaded, Twisted Metal, Armored Core!

Looks good. Interesting how you managed to get the spell powerups, and still save over a minute.

You might want to hit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, if only for the Arms & Armor section. It's like browsing a shop in Diablo II. Everything you can think of, they have. They also have the world's most valuable handgun.

I played this game as a kid when the TG16 came out. There was a demo at the mall. It is a platform game, you play as a really cool looking robot and destroy things... That is about all i can remember. Oh! The caracter looks like some sort of power ranger robots. Any ideas y'all?
It wasn't Keith Courage, was it? That's the only TG16 game I can think of with a guy who looks like a Power Ranger.

That would pretty much amount to a 100% minus the Star world and a few extra levels.

I take it the "fall-through-the-floor" glitch from SMB2u doesn't work in this?

That almost sounds like Roadblasters, but that didn't have states.

This discussion reminds me of this. I remember one time I was playing California Speed in the arcade... I was flying down a straightaway, at top speed, when I saw a car SCREAMING up behind me on the radar. It must have been doing over 300MPH when it went by me, and the wheels were smoking. Sometimes racing games just don't want to lose.

I do seem to remember the sewer boss being way too hard... something about going from full health to dead in under a second.

Interestingly enough, the single best processor out there for folding is the PS3's Cell.

I fully support this run. It should be interesting to see what can be done in this game, especially when you get the jetpack.
