Excellence. One of my favorite platformers on NES and now it's demolished even faster than before. And the music sticks to head. An easy yes.

Well, since they're coming from Tallinn, do you reckon I could order a few cases of beer to drop around here? (I did my 13 months for the country.)

Got a DS as well and finally my order of New Super Mario Bros came in. It has kept me seriously hooked for some days on bus trips etc, though my 1337 platform jumping skills have somewhat degraded in the 10 years I've not really played any platformers. I find the approach of doing old-school with a bit of new technology mixed in. The game seems to be a bit on the easy side though, mainly because 1UP's are found everywhere and it seems to be basically impossible to run out. Anyway, extremely well made game.

In my Ultima Online times it was said to mean "Woohoo, Loot", but recently I've heard the "Wonderful Loot" -explanation more.

This is the point: NESvideos looks better, sounds better, and IS BETTER.
Oh wow, an universal truth... or not. TASvideos looks better, sounds better, and IS BETTER. The truth is, I don't care either way. Both have their merits, but sticking with one of the alternatives is a thing which should be done sooner than later, otherwise it will just create confusion.

What seems to be irritating is the fact that the name change was decided by veteran users, because they think they don't need to ask the permission of anyone, because they're here for a long time and they are friends with the admin.
I don't see nothing wrong with this. It's his site, he can do whatever he wants with the name. Of course, it's it would be nice to run a poll about the name change, but I don't see it as strongly as you do. After all, a lot of other things have happened on this site without asking the userbase first. And to the TAS discussion, it's actually True AirSpeed. ;) [ ref http://www.google.com/search?q=define:TAS&defl=en ]

Well, it's rather interesting concept as a game. Unfortunately, it's done with a lousy color scheme which makes it look washed down and uninteresting. It's also more or less obscure for any viewer that watches it without having played it. Like the voters before me, I'll go for meh, mainly because I still found it somewhat interesting and it's well played. Also, it isn't too long a movie.

Rocking. It's faster than the previous one, looks cool and is blazingly fast. Easy yes. Only gripe is that music is music doesn't rock as much as the Chris Hülsbeck's originals (Amiga, Turrican II is the win).

If lucky, you can get a flight from Finland to London with a mere 20 euros, which is laughably cheap. I bet other (European) countries have similar situations too.
From Finland to London in the summer months the cheapest you can get is ~55 euros, but even that will have some taxes and airport fees added to it. This during summer months that is. (I know, I just bought a trip there.) You might get off cheaper if you want to play it to luck and go to airport looking for those superfast extra-late tickets.

So you want to contribute in the original nesvideos site having less seeds than it already has? What for?
I'd estimate this would help people behind ISP's who throttle/block bittorrent traffic. Or people who are behind corporate firewalls doing the same.

This raises a question; When does meat become beef? Only when it's outside it's normal habitat (ie. innards of an unsuspecting butchery victim) or does the same piece of meat count as beef even when inside the animal? If so, there's technically possible ALIVEBEEF.

In brief, people are rather disappointed in PS3 because a: PS3 cost between 500-600 U.S dollars (depending on how many gig you desire) which is utterly ridiculous b: nothing revolutionary with their controller.
Yet it will have Square-Enix's main cashcow, Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII, so it'll sell. Also for the PS3, Metal Gear Solid 4. Both of these titles have raised the PS3 publicity a fair bit, even though the actual sony pr conference was a bit weak. Not to mention PS3 is slated to have a Blu-Ray drive. If it can play movies it's actually quite cheap for a blu-ray player. On the microsoft side we have Alan Wake and Halo 3. Naming the console Wii was a smart move from Nintendo though. The utterly stupid name is generating a lot of interest for them and now with the increased E3 hype they're doing rather well. Now all that remains, is to get rid of the 'childrens console' -image. Don't get me wrong, though. I have nothing against the image, but for a commercial success, it's bad. They'll have hard time catching Sony/Microsoft's already instated street image. On another note, Blizzard seems to be topping all the console manufacturers with their Burning Crusade announcements and the upcoming 'secret project' -announcement. I wonder what happened to Ghost. EDIT: I'll end up getting the console that has the most interesting games. The tech itself doesn't interest me that much, though the blu-ray player might be handy.

Well, your list doesn't include any GBA-movies (afaik), so I'll just shoot a suggestion: Ninja Five-O. Yes, it has a lame name, but you instantly know what's happening in the movie and it has very, very nice acrobatics.

It's better than the last one, and I already liked that one. This will be an obvious yes. It's a rather unique concept and it certainly is fast. Anyway, I'm still baffled at the ending, they had to be smoking something when designing this piece of work.

So, how you plan to let JXQ know what he did "wrong" in the eyes of this particular viewer, so he can possibly improve for the next version? PMs maybe, but I somehow doubt it. Isn't the whole point of these threads to give due credit to the runner and give criticism of the run to improve it?

You can only call it a cyborg if portions were controlled by a robot. Most TASes are more the equivalent of power armor
So that makes them Terminator Runs then. We don't have power claws, but maybe a nintendo power glove can be used instead...

Okay, saying this game is difficult is a major understatement. It's totally impossible when played in real time. Like, WTF. Did they even test this game when producing it? How are you supposed to dodge those spiders? I had totally zero chance of passing the first spider in real time, and with slowdowns it boiled down to abusing collision detection and not just dodging the spider. And then my progress was stopped by the second spider. Also, what's up with the attack of doom aka The Kick. It's range is beyond pathetic, either I'm a really bad player or you can't hit anything with it in real time. Anyway, I'm definetly interested in seeing a run done, so I can see if the damn game is even possible to finish.

I'm having more problems with threads refusing to mark themselves read until I force them with the button. Minor annoyance at best, though.

Very nice. I've never played this game and yet this run managed to keep me entertained for the hour (+few mins) it played. Good job there. I guess I'll have to take a look at the any% run now.
