I think I'm finished at least =). CENSORED is the time it took to TAS (-5 minutes). Currently reviewing it while the timer is still running.

If the 102% run will be redone, please don't use the debug code to get the 75 Kremkoins early, that's just dumb.

There are many glitches with the ostrich. You can land on run on the ground both with and without the Ostrich (Without being on it). In both cases you'll end up stuck because of an invisible wall. Another thing is that you can jump back into the area after the ostrichs throws you off. You'll then be stuck in a short section, no hippos or nests. I also found a glitch with the rhinos: http://www.mediafire.com/download/r96p1b1udnbt4du/Rhino+Glitch.bk2. this could have potential in the level, to land on above platforms or to reach the end of the level without the monkeys helping you. The problem is that the only thing you can land on are the giraffes' heads. Everything else you'll just fall through... And it is too far to reach the end of the level from the last rhino. You can also do the glitch after grabbing the tail of the rhino and do the jump from there, the effect is practically the same. In the Graveyard it is possible to get up to the upper area early by using the vultures. But the enemies up there won't load until you have activated the water pillars. Which means running back to the far right, falling down to activate them and then jump back up, and this is slower to do. And you need to properly load the upper area so that you can kill the hyenas in the end for the final wall to break. Oh well... And also, I finished the second level for the TAS: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/16861779151735015

I would pay to be able to TAS Four Swords.

Seems like you didn't get a reply here either, Espyo... I was surprised that the current TAS didn't take that route, I just assumed that it was slower for whatever reason. Anyway. I recently started TASing this game as a promise for TheMexicanRunner. So far I've only completed the first level: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/16775695368019943 There are a couple of differences between the SNES and Genesis versions. When I started it, I wanted to use SNES just because of better sound/music, but I'm noticing a few things that differ. 1. Takes longer to reach the Title Screen in Genesis. 2. The options menu is faster in Genesis. 3. I believe Simba's hitbox is different. There's a specific jump in the first level where Simba will hit the ceiling easier than in Genesis, wastes some time in the TAS. 4. The Hyena attacks at once in Genesis instead of waiting. 5. Simba falls longer at the start of Graveyard in Genesis. Most certainly a lot more, just what I have spotted while fooling around.

Here is one of two methods for the gels, both ending up in the same frame count (2 frames faster): http://www.mediafire.com/download/bk62isfq4iqi50b/Ages+WIP+2.bk2 The other method is to walk up diagonal further, to have the bottom gel jump higher up, and then walk diagonally down to kill them all in one slash.

The first thing I noticed was that you could have killed the gels slightly faster in the Maku Road. A few possible damage boosts, such as after the first key in D1. There is a faster way of lightning the torches to get the Bracelets, as seen here in SL's old WIP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmXtWUfPixw&feature=player_detailpage#t=129. I believe it saves like 2-3 frames or so. Or maybe you didn't do it because of RNG stuff? I noticed that was the reason you didn't slash before entering the Maku Road. Except for those, it looks pretty nice!

Here is my old WIP for this: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1417104257/DKC4%20TAS.fm2 174 frames ahead after the first level. Also did some of the second one before stopping the project for now. Corner boosts in water levels sucked...

How many different glitch worlds did you test? I would imagine there is one with both the Ocarina and the boss entrance in one.

I'll try to help out with this at least. Also, if you haven't already, be sure to check SBD's wips here: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/user/SBD

A pretty old skip really. Here's what I made back in 2009: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/39524758/Success.vbm VBA 23 needed.

Less text means more % gameplay. And it is the gameplay that matters, so with that definition, JP text should be default. People don't watch speedruns to follow along the story, people watch them to see games done fast. If they want something else, just go and watch a walkthrough or let's play. JP text saves like 15 minutes in a run. It would just be dumb to not use it.

Bobmario: The glitch is done by playing the Ocarina one frame before a bats starts moving towards you. This will freeze the bat and eventually cause the same boss duplication bug as used in the glitched TAS. So when you reach Dethyl, he (One of them at least) will die instantly. I'm not sure there is a good glitched dungeon with the Ocarina in it, haven't really looked into it though.

Both of those two are already mentioned in that numbered list =P. There is a lot to improve in the TAS, it's wellknown. I just have been lazy and busy with other projects to bother currently.

Felt like giving an update here. Tom and I have been working on the 100% run with steady progress for awhile. We are currently at 4-4. I'm not sure we plan to show and public WIPs or not until it's done, we'll see. We also plan to improve the Warpless run that is up on the site. So far I have made it up to the first Castle. Being 2* frames ahead of Glitchman's WIP. Will be another 30 because the Fire Flower has already been obtained, which also made 1-5 slightly slower. This WIP I feel like I can show at least: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/768374296/SMB3%20Warpless.fm2

And the SDA definition is what all speedrunners have used since forever: http://zeldaspeedruns.com/leaderboards/alttp/100

Up to the Tile Room again, with the new route I'm testing: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1258969785/EasternFirstWIP.smv This time, thankfully, some people at #alttp have figured out how this place works. So it should be easier to do now and finally be able to make some actual progress!

Real time runners have a different setup for this. Here is the current record: http://www.twitch.tv/maggara1/c/4093224
