Here my finished test: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1815275253/ALttPGanon%25.smv The run isn't optimised and doesn't actually kill Ganon, but you get the idea...

What you need to beat the game: (Without using EG) Sword+Shield, Lamp, Mirror and Tempered Sword. Such run is incoming.

As for the improvements: If you study the published run, you can spot many things. For example, at the start of every level, there is a jumping sequence you can do to quicker increase your speed. You don't go down pipes the earliest frame possible. In the pipe underground in 1-1, you bump into the pipe before going into it. It's faster to land on the top of the flagpole rather at the bottom. Even if you are new to TASing, when you submit something it has to be quality material. You can always post your run at the forum or in IRC for feedback before you submit it. We will gladly help out to make your run as good as possible. Good luck on future projects!

Glitchless categories are a bit pointless, especially when they don't add any extra entertainment value at all, like in this case. That said, the run itself isn't optimised at all anyway. A lot of errors and easy things that could have made it faster. No.

Can't remember if I ever mentioned my zipping glitch in the Duck Tales topic. The video is for the first game, I have yet not tried anything in the second. It might work and be useful: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1530526875/CeilingGlitch.fm2 http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/765692141/ThrouhTheGround.fm2

So far this has no use for the TAS, all variations of this glitch are just for fun. Edit: Smv of how it is done: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/861285713/FallingAnimationGlitch.smv. Required 9X 1.51 and JP 1.0 ROM.

I started a 100% run awhile ago, we'll see if I ever get back to it. I guess I should mention here as well that the run Yuzuhara and I are working on is on hold. This because Yuzuhara is unable to work on it, and I don't want to do it without him.

There is a JP any% TAS wip on nico: Part 1: Link to video Part 2: Link to video It improves my WIP at a number of places. So be sure to check that first. It's one of the reasons why I never continued my own run, despiting I enjoyed TASing it. My latest WIP got up to an unfinished attempt at the second boss: VBM

I wrote you a reply, sort of, in the SSW topic here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=345822#345822 Can keep the discussion going there instead.

There have been some real time speedrunning for the three games. And there have been new discoveries for ESB and RotJ at least, can't remember any for SSW as of now. Jadin made a "god TAS" run of ESB, with the purpose of how fast a perfect real time run could be. You can see that run here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uykDZvQfBCc. A perfect TAS will of course be even faster. It does however show a couple of neat tricks and glitches. Such as despawning all the eyes on the Dagobah boss, as well as skipping the Boba Fett fight. For Return of the Jedi I discovered a Sliding Teleport glitch. By sliding and being pushed by an enemy, you can go through the wall. Such as for a nice shortcut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIYtEOqLHJM And to skip the two guards before Vader: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG0y5aB2FW0. It can also be done in the Power Generator (Though currently with Leia only) to skip some parts of it. It is also possible to skip both boss fights in the Ewok levels. You can see them in the console record run: http://www.twitch.tv/edenalsda/c/2162992 I guess that is all I have to share currently =).

I don't think (Correct me if I'm wrong) that Dolphin has support for GBA yet. There is single player TAS of the first level at least: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Hb3uXrEnY. Not sure if more progress is being worked on however, though it looks very nice so far.

Coolkirby: Pure coincidence :). Dooty: As Nach stated, 1.43 is a lot worse than 1.51 and there is no reason to use it at all. The reason why I picked 1.51 now is the SNES emulation of Bizhawk is way too slow on my computer, this will make it insanely tedious to TAS with as I can't keep my normal pace and I simply can't TAS otherwise. It may be able to convert it to Bizhawk by adding/removing lag frames for the entire run. Even though I doubt it will sync anyway. I could just change to "Aim for fastest in game time" and the result would practically be the same for 1.51 as Bizhawk.

Slower than the last existing published run. I should mention that it's slower than first ever sm64 run which too was a 16-star.
It's even slower than the current unassisted speedrun.
The console record is even 15:31. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUNpIGuPyIA

Alright, my previous TAS project is finished so I'll get on with some DKL again. Restarting from scractch using a newer VBA version than before, which will greatly add the amount of frames from loading time. As the emulator was paused before and now you get the pause time to the frame counter instead. Fellow: Add in 3E0-81B-4CA as a GameGenie code and you can run through enemies without being hurt. Edit: First level done: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1801379541/DKLTAS.vbm Forgot I was supposed to use Bizhawk for GB/GBC games from now on. So I'll redo that WIP on Bizhawk, which will also save a couple of seconds because of bad VBA emulation, yay.
