On a side note... In world 3, when fighting the hammer brother, it is faster to jump on them rather than shoot them both. That's because they fall much faster, and the chest won't appear until they are both out from the screen. Same way as I did 4-4. That version was 152 frames slower compared to P-wing strategy, not counting the time it takes to get the P-wing so it is probably like 100 frames slower. That makes it a total of about 260 frames lost so far. Some time will, as mentioned, be saved over the previous run because of the change. Having the fire flower in 4-6 saves some time and also some for not having to grab it.

I actually thought it would take longer to glitch through the wall than that, I'm dumb. As for 4-4, I did some testings before on that. One thing that will be a problem is to keep the P-speed after the wall. You can jump on the Lakitu to get up on the wall, get P-speed and jump down into the water. The problem there is that I'm not sure it's enough time to jump on the lakitu again to make it to the platform. You will probably make it though.

So you are going to skip getting the music box in 5-1 I take it? Which would mean some extra time would be lost because of the hammer brothers as well as manipulating them to be out of the way. Or did you have a different solution for that? I could give 6-F1 a shot to see if I can make it, I have my doubts though.

I'm wondering though... The P-wings we had were used in 4-4 (Faster to get up on the wall while having P-speed), 5-1 (Fly up to the pipe to get the music box for skipping hammer bros/flower fight later on) and 7-Fort 1 (No need to get the Tanooki suit/having a leaf before). Will it be faster to use the P-wing here instead of any of those three? Probably in 4-4 though, but I haven't tested that one.

Both the scepter grab and the different route in 2-F are great. I had previously tried to go throw the wall there, as well as using the pipe glitch to get to the boss room, but never with the P-wing. Keep these improvements coming!

Men precis. En liten introduktion skadar aldrig att ha på svenska. Skulle kunna klura på en antar jag. Annars får alla nykomlingar som läser följande meddelande gärna fråga om det är något ni undrar över.

I can't enter the building with the second book unless I either use the ocarina glitch (Which I can't use at the worker's hut without bomb and fairy) or go to the Library and talk to the Minish there. Guess I could have included that in the comments...

No, the pipe glitch is only possible from the right side as far as I know. There aren't really many places to use it though, sadly. Good luck with the run.

Here is the minor improvement to the first level, only three frames, but still :). http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1241545301/Dragon%27s%20Lair%20%28USA%29.smv

There are still some minor things to improve in the first level, from a different strategy at the start. Nothing serious though. At first I was wondering why no damage boosts were used in 1-4, but realized that you aren't able to have more than one shield on hard... So it's still faster to take damage at the boss. It was a nice run at least, a few tricks that I didn't think of when I worked on my run. Yes vote.

I'm really bad at using save states properly... I always end up where I want to go just a little bit earlier in the movie, only to discover that I haven't got any earlier save states. I need to work on that. Generally, I'm using slot 1 and 2 for the main progress and slot 10 for the "best version". 8 and 9 are used for comparision points before the "best version". The rest are basically just spread out randomly. I often use some of them as I do with 8 and 9, but I can never remember which one of the states I used, so I'm just overwriting them as I go. When I've reach a section where I think I don't need to go back, I basically use "all" save states there. Sometimes I'm just saving like slot 1-6 at once three-four times in a row without anything inbetween, for some weird reason. Which then results in me having no early states so I have to replay the whole movie over again. I'm so dumb.

Pretty nice stuff there. I found the RNG address awhile ago and have been using it a lot since that. I also tried to find a value that will tell you what item you'll get from enemies/pot/bushes etc., but failed doing so. Using your lua will make things a lot better and easier though. So I'll check this out for sure. Hopefully, if I find this being useful enough for the TAS, Swordless will start using it too. Thanks a lot at least!

There were some of the camera angles that I weren't in favor of, like most of BitFS. I do find it sort of interesting to see something new though, considering that this game has been TASed so many times up to now. If the run would have used the same camera angles like the previous run, there would be people saying that "it looks too much like the previous run, no vote". No matter what you do, people will have different opinions on things and there is no need to start blaming people for it, like some are doing way too often. Just accept that there are those who don't like the exact same thing as you do.

AND WITHOUT glitches!
Why? If/when any of the runs in your list will be made, they will use glitches if there are any worth using. Or else the run will likely be rejected. If you want runs without glitches, you are looking at the wrong place.

Just becomes a black screen and you can't do anything, basically. Nothing that interesting really =P.
