Amazing run indeed. Nearly 11 seconds of improvements is a crazy amount of time! A huge yes vote on this and I can't wait for the warpless run.

I mentioned in IRC a way to publish this, as I doubt it will have its own category again, is to publish it along the other obsoleted 16 star movies. I don't think you should make a new category simply by removing one of the timesaving glitches. It's like if someone submitted a Super Mario Bros. TAS but didn't glitch through the wall in 1-2, or a "no flagpole glitch" run. The run is great, and I do enjoy it more than the 0 star run, but it doesn't deserve its own category anymore as better glitches have been found.

That should just be the loading of the video, which may take a while.

You could also use a different nico link, such as nicozon http://www.nicozon.net/watch/sm12887548 Just change the movie number to view the videos you want without making an account.

Here's Nahoc's explanations on it. [17:08:19] <Nahoc> Side-BLJs are mostly fesible on stairs [17:08:36] <Nahoc> When landing a longjump, you have 4 frames to press "A" and long jump again [17:08:53] <Nahoc> The maximum backwards speed when longjumping is -15.99 [17:09:40] <Nahoc> But, at a certain angle, you can't do a BLJ on one stair and catch the other stair on those 4 frames, to re-BLJ. [17:09:51] <Nahoc> Even with initial -15.99 speed [17:10:13] <Nahoc> So you have to change your angle to do multiple BLJs on the exact same stair [17:10:20] <Nahoc> Called side-BLJing

While the run is very nice looking, I can't see any reasons to have this run published. 16 stars existed in the past because there were no faster way to beat the game, why go back to slower tactics when there are faster ones? This goal would be the same even if it was 21, 63, 32, 79 stars, and we don't need one category/star.

The last phase always takes a long time before you can hit the shell. I hit it as early as I could and there's nothing, to my knowledge, you can do speed it up.

The problem, which wasn't really a problem at all, has been solved :).

Sadly, the gustjar doesn't work to activate the switch, so a bomb was the fastest way. To be honest, I didn't really plan the route for the rupees well enough at the start. In theory, it would be much faster to be able to manipulate blue rupees everywhere you go. When I first experimented with the manipulation, I had a very hard time to get blue rupees from enemies and pots, so I decided to do it the safe way and waste about 800 frames to grab the 20 rupee chest in the first dungeon. There's a slight chance that I'll redo that part and try to manipulate them instead. As I can easily hex in the rest of the run after the S&Q. Also: Thanks!

The original plan was to do it on Super Hard. But with this redo, he has switched to Hard instead.

I didn't really contribute much to this project. Dooty copied some of the input from the old WIP Electrospecter and I were working on. Most of that comes from ES and I know idea what I have actually done, but oh well. A really nice run, it's awesome to finally have it done!

I was fooling around in the room before Bowser for like 30 seconds, and improve it by 9 frames by simply reducing some of the over 25 lag frames in that room. And what I did was far from perfect. There were also a lot of other spotable improvements, such as those Andymac mentioned. This will get a no vote from me.

Really nice job! 17 seconds faster is a neat improvement! I'm going to watch through it all as soon as I got the time, which will probably be tomorrow. I'll hopefully not have anything to complain about, but you never know what the Evil Tompa will mention. Congrats!

It will require going through the same area more than neccesary, which can get a bit repetitive. There's also going to be a long detour from the route to just get a seashell and then go back the same way. I agree with Swordless (As well as myself :) ).

This thread has been dead for too long, let's bump! Chef Stef has yet again started to work on the 100% run and I'm working hard to finish up a good route for it. The hardest part with it is where to get the 20 seashells needed for the L-2 Sword. One thing that would improve the route a lot, would be to steal the shovel, buy bombs and steal the bow before the first dungeon. This, however, requires Link to die once. The reason to do this is not to save the time taking the money, but to get the seashell in the first dungeon to avoid taking a big detour to get another one. The glitched LADX also died because of stealing and no one complained there as far as I know. And many other runs are using deaths to save time anyway. The issue would probably be that you won't see Marin fly in the end of the game. And I presume that people may complain because of that as it would be a nice ending touch to a 100% run. I personally don't care about that really, but I still wanted to ask what the reaction would be to this.

While, as p4wn3r said, there's no rule that disallows you from submitting a run someone is working on, it is still a very bad move to do something like that. Someone's working on a run for a long time, doing everything he can to make it good looking and being optimized. Then someone makes a run in half the time that is unoptimized and submits it. For the person that struggled very hard with the run, this will be a huge slap in his face and all the work he has done will feel like a big waste and the motivation will most likely drop. Also when the run clearly is copying all the tricks and everything from the run in the works and the people that actually found all the stuff, without giving any credits for it. This is exactly what he did with the Ocarina of Time run. Obviously, people will think that he found "everything" himself and will praise him from being awesome. When you know that someone else is working on the same run, why not help eachother out instead of both working seperatly? The runs won't be better if you work against eachother in secret. If you have something to someone that's doing a run, then simply do instead of being dumb.
