About the riverside race... I have a run that's 51:87. But I know it is improveable, so I was going to improve it to the max before uploading it somewhere. But here it is http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1781577036/RiversideraceHARDR.smv Keep on going with your run, Dooty. Going to be nice to see the optimised version later on! I won't even bother to complain on stuff you could have done better right now :).

Alright, I got my motivation back for this game, at least for the moment being :). VBM Youtube Goes up to the Minish Village (Well... almost). Edit: Oops, stupid mistake. Improved my own WIP by 10 frames, 149 faster than Atma.

It was good stuff. I do think the second level became a bit too long however. Was that neccesary to get the star and feather? Keep on going, I would love to see more invis Yoshi glitches being included :).

Argh... I'm so stupid. I knew about the steel barrel version, but I couldn't imagine that it would actually be faster. Then I realized it will save two switches with the monkeys, so that would obviously make it faster. Very nice! Edit: Just testing this strategy myself, managed to shave some more frames. But whatever.

There's an autohold function in SNES9X that is awesome. Go to Config -> Controls -> Configure Controls... Find Joypad #1 Turbo in the list and set a button for Autohold. Then hold the autohold button and press the buttons you want to be held in. No need for any lua stuff.

Request for the next encode... Please press a button after the credits, when it goes back to Cranky, so that the in game time can be shown in the video, as Toothache did in his encode.

It was over three years ago. I asked in IRC if I could call it a JXQ-roll. And you said something like: "Sure, more pride for me!"

I forgot to add in the submission that no matter which bonus you use for this glitch, the destinations will always be the same. So no, it will sadly not work to do it in a different level. And no, you aren't an idiot either. Thanks a lot so far guys!

The real question is: When will Super Mario 64 be completed faster than Super Mario Bros. ?
As soon as SL and AKA submitted the 1 star TAS, I said to SL that one day SM64 will be just as fast as SMB and he laughed at me and said that "It will never happen." Well, we're there soon! The run was awesome, nuff said :).

I'm sorry, but I'll not join in for this task. I'm focusing all my TAS time to finish my DKC run. I might have time to work on this once I'm done, but we'll see.

Some nice things you did there, Aglar, that I missed. Such as throwing the block at the end instead of jumping with it, stupid me... Congrats! And lol to my amount of rerecords compared to the others, heh.

Concept could be fun, but I think it's a better idea to find the game than which console it is.

Dooty: Most of the frames I saved on the password/name select wasn't because I skipped entering a name, but that I scrolled through the letters faster. If you only press up/down to change letters, you won't be able to change every frame. But if you press up+right+up+right/down+left+down+left etc. you'll be able to change letter every frame. I personally find that entering a specific name is rather useless, but oh well.

Very nice. I'll see if I can be of any use with this project. Keep improving. Edit: By the way. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/304214563/Copy%20of%20DKC3105%25.smv 147 frames faster password+name select, I win (For the moment being.)

I will at least not get back to this any time soon, DKC really has to be finished first. And that is what I'm currently working on, Snorlax. But that project takes forever because I'm such a frame whore... I also want to improve my any% run of ALttP, as it is improveable by at least 30 seconds, probably more.

All inventory items and fully upgraded stuff, and all heart containers obviously. What I will skip: Blue Mail (Because of the red one), blue boomerang (because of the red one), compasses, maps.

As that's technically not even 100%, considering that the bomb and arrow upgrades should be taken as well. And some people want me to take all compasses and maps as well, which I think is a complete waste. The more extreme ones suggest that I should "do-everything-you-can-in-the-game". Which includes blasting all walls, open all chests, visit all rooms etc. Everything the game will recognize that you have done. That is for me a idiotic goal, but still... People won't be satisfied and I can't be bothered to have such discussion when/if I submit a run

I actually quit that project for now, or well... have it on hold. Main reason is the 100% definition, no matter what I set it to, people will complain.

You probably won't save any time in SMW, but it does save time in SDW however. But yeah, if people are TASing the games, it's just stupid to not help them out by telling about new stuff. You can do as Kirk suggested, to PM some of them about it instead of posting it here.
