Here's the improvement from not breaking the DK barrel against Master Necky Snr. 13 frames faster at the start of the KRool fight: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/61013249498258384 Those are all the improvements I've got for this. Guess all we need to do now is to put them all together.

I'm currently trying to save lag frame in Misty Mine. I got it one frame faster so far, but I feel like another frame could be saved as my setup for the SuperJumpRoll wasn't the best. I'm still working on it currently, but here's how the one frame looks like if you want to try to improve: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/60927304006595981 And neither 6-3, 6-4 nor 6-5 have corner boost slopes. You can save one frame when reentering 6-2, by doing an Extendo Roll after hitting the Gnawty, you can keep the speed to go over the hole and grab the barrel a frame earlier. At the end of 6-4, if you delay the roll into the Mankey Kong by one frame, you reduce a frame of lag. For the Master Necky SNR fight. While I haven't tested this fully yet, I believe some lag frames can be reduced from when the nuts land on the ground. This can be done by moving around with Donkey so that the nuts will land on different frames; either close or further away from the bird. I'll test this tomorrow.

Oh, awesome! I didn't think for one second to use that trick for the run, had forgotten about it! As for barrel boosts: There are two pixels for which you can execute a barrel boosts. In 1-1 where you use the barrel boost in your video, you need to be on pixel 1104 or 1005 for it to work. Though because running is over three pixels of movement every frame, you may move between pixel 1103 to 1106/1107 or 1102 to 1106. There are situations when slowing down a little can be faster because you are getting a corner boost instead. With higher speed, like when running with Expresso, it's harder to hit the correct pixels. There it's less likely to save time by slowing down. Sorry for taking so long for my improvements. One thing I didn't mention is that you can skip breaking the DK barrel during the Master Necky SNR fight by making a slapslide with Donkey at the start of the fight, by pressing down+left+Y. This will save 10 frames on the overworld when walking to KKR because of having only one character. And a note about the lag frame in 6-5: Holding down like that normally doesn't reduce lag. I was just testing random inputs after getting into the bonus and noticed I got different amount of lag frames, and somehow holding down reduced one... No idea how that works really.

As this submission came so sudden, I'll need some time to go through certain levels in more depth for improvements. There is no need for you, Hidaigai, to edit the run just yet. I have limited time this weekend, but should work on it a lot during the upcoming week.

This was a surprise submission! I started my own version of this a couple of days ago. Neat. I thought I had tested that Kritter section to death in my last runs, thinking it was faster to land on the second Kritter because you would land earlier afterwards... I was wrong! I did improve Manic Mincers by three frames. First off, if you jump with Expresso just before you reach top speed, you'll get to full speed quicker, saving 18 subpixels, which is just enough to be a full pixel ahead. Eventually, thanks to this, I could reduce all the lag frames in the end of the level. Though for personal preference, I took an extra lag frame in favor of saving an in game time frame instead. 6-2 was a lazy TAS from me now, as I just wanted to test to see if would be faster or not in the end, it could possibly be improved further. Movie file here: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/60738160273252196 Will look more closely to the end levels as well. EDIT: I also got 6-5 four frames faster so far, thanks to getting more speed towards the left before grabbing the DK barrel. I also saved a lag frame by holding Down shortly after Donkey started to fall when Diddy entered the bonus: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/60738708608140714

Right now, a Low Pause TAS is about to be streamed here: https://www.twitch.tv/zfg1 It's a "LOTAD" - Low Optimized TAS Demonstration, as in not perfect. Should still be enjoyable!

This is odd to me. That run is very lazy and arbitary in comparision to the 101% run, which took me an endless amount of effort in comparision. Glad you liked the walkathon, though =D. I personally have no opinion on the best TAS of the decade, I don't like to rate movies.

I presume it will use the same ruleset as for RTA runs, which is defined in "Rules": https://www.speedrun.com/ttyd#100 This will be a cool run for sure, looking forward to it!

Get rid of the star from my ALttP TAS and put it towards the 100% run, IMO.

Barrier Skip has been found for Oracle of Seasons! Makes it possible to reach Onox after beating only the first three dungeons. Here's the highlight of the start of the glitch from the new RTA WR: Link to video He also made a detailed video explaining what's going on: Link to video

WR for TWWHD is 54 minutes. You are currently nowhere close to finish TWW in 53 minutes.

It is possible to hit the second munchers the same way as the first ones, to keep the shell quicker. Here's an example of that: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/56396850888812396 Other than that, doesn't look bad. I don't know the game that well however.

Even new applications of the new Back in Time glitch has been found. It's still in its early testings, but it should cut another hour at minimum, likely more, allowing to skip Song of the Hero and all what that indicates. The new glitch: Link to video Gymnast is currently streaming some research for this, if anyone is curious: https://www.twitch.tv/gymnast86 While Motion+ is now emulated in Dolphin, it's sadly not TASable yet, as Motion+ movements is not saved in the movie file.

1 in 1000 or not, it has still happened, which was my point. And to me, removing the runs from archive.org as well makes less sense than that the run gets removed when someone deleted a Youtube account, despite this indeed being more common. But yeah, take it easy in general here, Svimmer. Sit back and enjoy some God of Thunder instead =).
