I'm surprised that the run synced for me. Excellent WIP though!

Oh... I guess I stopped reading after (NES) =P. My bad. Great "WIP" btw, Saturn! I always love the way you take the Gravity Suit.

Metroid X Metroid Deluxe Those are the two I found at M2K2 at least, but there are others I'm just too lazy to find them right now.

I've been TASing Donkey Kong Country for over two years now. A few months ago I got stuck on a level because the camera is too slow for my speed, more or less. So I can't see what I'm doing. I don't know much about cam hack really, but I have previously, with the help of Arne, inseredt the RAM-values for the camera positions manually to get it to work a bit. But it desyncs quite a lot that way that way. So if there are any good ways to make it work, either an improved version of what I previously did, with a lua script or something similar, I would be grateful. Character Diddy's: X-position: 7E0B1D, 2u Y-position: 7E0FF9, 2u Camera (I think at least): X-position: 7E1A63 Y-position: 7E1A4D

Last time I weren't able to watch hardly anything of their Pokémon marathon, I sure that I'm able to this time :). Looking forward to it.

When you hurt Mothula with a spinattack, using the lvl 2 sword, you aren't able to do a double hit at all. Mothula takes no damage from the spikes, he stops blinking but you are unable to hurt him at once with the same spin. Mothula is close at the spikes at the start, indeed. But you need to hit him from the side for him to hit the spikes afterwards, as there's a block behind which he will hit instead. Here's just a different way of killing him than I did in my run. After you hit Mothula, he hits the spikes and the damaging will be cancelled so he can be hit once again and directly after that he gets hit by the spikes, 8+8 damage, half of Mothula's HP. This done twice makes the battle very quick. SMV Mothula may look like it's flying, but I'm quite certain that all sprites are on the ground as there's no 3D in the game. The same goes with the Wall Masters. They can only grab you when they land, but you can hurt them all the way in the air. So that's basically why he can hit the spikes at all.

I loved the room with the timed bombs :D. Nice WIP Stef, as always! Here is some new stuff, and some reminders of old things: Faster Sword "Slash" Bomb boost Underground Stuff Similar things, but in the water, probably useless (GB rom) Good luck with further progress!

Sorry to make you disappointed then, Paused ;). I recorded a run after Thieves' Town to show how the route is going to look currently. Some changes are probably going to be made. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1203502605/ALttP100%25Route.smv

Dez: Yeah, I'm skipping the blue boomerang and taking the red at once. I also read through your route and the corrections etc. that Erokky made afterwards (Can be found on page 35). I used that route as my start and then did a couple of changes. There are some things I don't like with the route but I haven't come up with ways of fixing it. I believe most are in favor of skipping the bomb/arrow upgrades, so I'll continue to stick with that.

Max bombs is 50 and arrows 70. You can upgrade 5 at the time which requires 100 rupees, you start with 10 bombs and 20 arrows. So you'll need 800 for the bombs and 800 for the arrows, a total of 1600. As max rupees is 999, I'll have to visit it twice. There are about five places where you can get 300 rupees, some 100 rupees and 50 rupees. So it isn't really that hard to collect the rupees needed, it's the upgrading that takes a long time, like 10 minutes. And I don't think I can save any time by having more arrows/bombs, so it doesn't add up to anything.

20 hearts Fully upgraded items Magic upgrade Complete inventory Does not include to upgrade the amount of bombs and arrows. This will add up to at least 10 minutes of extra time and doesn't add anything neccesarsy.

As some of you may know, I've been planning a 100% run. I just finished my route, it will most likely be changed but this is the best I've come up with so far. http://www.savefile.com/files/2169096

You lost three frames up to the first bonus, another 9 to the second and 12 in the second bonus. Even though it's very hard to manipulate the green bananas, it is sometimes possible. First level is 37 slower at least. And I believe ElectroSpecter restarted the run and optimized some stuff even further, as we didn't use a proper speed address before. Nice going at least. Try to see if you can improve that first level.

SePH was working on it for awhile but lost interest in it. Euclid hasn't got any interest either really. But SePH has said that he might get back to it, depending on other stuff he has to do. I have, more or less, planned a TAS of the first version. But I don't see much reason to start one in case the other one will show up.

Really nice! Didn't think about something like that. Yeah, it will be faster than what I now did. I'll include in the next run. I'll probably start planning the 100% run soon, I like TASing this game :).

It would indeed be faster, but as I'm on a different floor than I should be (I believe that's the reason) as I didn't use the stairs, this will happen. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/108873456/Floasting.smv

Only 100% run I know of is the one up at SDA, and yes, I can improve that with a TAS... I have been thinking about a 100% run, would be fun to do. I'm not getting anywhere with my other projects so it doesn't hurt to start testing some. All heart pieces and heart containers. All inventory items. Blue mail and Red Shield can be skipped. Upgraded magic. And then it comes to the upgrades for arrows and bombs. You need 1800 rupees to upgrade everything. I'll have to visit the fairy at least twice, collecting all the rupees will take a long time as well as upgrading everything. And it will also be extremely boring to watch. Those are the reasons why it's skipped at SDA, more or less, and that's what I'm going for as well. Should probably write this in the ALttP topic...

I recently tried to improve this run, without any success. You obviously did a much better job, no run is perfect! Easy yes.
