Yeah, what you need for 100% is: All heart pieces. Take the three upgrades for the bombs/magic powder/arrows. All 8 instruments. Finishing the trading to get the boomerang. Get 20 seashells to get the Lvl 2 sword. Complete item inventory with level 2 power bracelets, level 2 shield and the 3 Ocarina songs. Compasses and maps are NOT part of a 100% definition. Here's the 100% route, Bomb & Arrow using and a very bad realtime 100% testrun of the B&W version I did for my speedrun. There are lots of tricks it doesn't include but it shows most of the route in action. And yeah, if you shall do a warped run you should use the B&W version with the select warp instead. Good luck.

Hi and welcome to TASvideos :D. Yeah, I know about it. But if you uses it the run will count as a "warped run", which will be a different category. That's why it isn't used in the run on the site. E: Also, there's a topic for Link's Awakening already.

Version 2163 worked fine for me at least ;D. Yeah, you can do the backwardsrunning in the GBA version as well, just allow left + right and you'll be able to do it. Speeds up things a lot.

First of all, don't use turbo in the beginning. You could easily have pressed one frame too late. The Left+Right backwards running works in the GBA version, so it should be used as it is faster. It is also quite suboptimal... And I can't understand your goals for the TAS, and why the coins should be collected. I uploaded the savefile to Savefile, and also fixed the name of it so it fits with the rom.

The 101% is on hold until the any% run is done... And we are at Queen B (Which we have been at for like... 2 months soon) Arne has said that he is going to finish it, but he is too lazy to. The reason why we are still there is because we can't come up with something entertaining enough to do before the last hit :).

As long as there are green banana bonuses, nothing will be easy ;D. Going to try to enter the bonus at different frames. I have noticed that I could manipulate bananas in the bonus, at least sometimes, by holding a direction before the banana appears. Or something like that... It's quite weird and I haven't found out how it works yet. I could work more with the any% run meanwhile ;D.

Well, I fixed the nut part, had to lose 1-4 frames though, not sure how many. But I got much better green banana bonus manipulation, over 30 frames saved there. But now I'm, more or less, stuck at the G. banana bonus at Riverside Race... Losing WAY TOO MUCH. Hate this game sometmies :(.

Snorlax: Only the first two worlds have warp barrels, so the any% is going to be more interesting to watch later on. Magnet: Hehe, my avatar is a big lol. I don't know if you noticed, but I've changed the bear coin route. I didn't grab the one in Murky Mill, was a loss of 15 frames now when I didn't have Ellie with me. I'm going to take one in Tidal Trouble, going to hex in that later, which cost me around 6-7 frames instead. Also, could you please send me the other list with bear coins you had? I'm currently having huge problems with the ass monkeys in Barrel Shield, at the end of the level. I can't believe how you managed to spawn the nut so early. Even if I copy your frames I won't get the same result *SIGH*. I dont want to lose these 4-7 frames :'(.

I just noticed that I had for some reason chosed "Record from now"... That's why I was able to make a reset earlier than Electrospecter *sigh*. Oh well, hexing time with any%. So I'll work with 105% instead =P.

It's looking quite good so far. I hope that more can care about this run. The game is awesome!

Well, not at SDA, but there doesn't seem to be any precedent here at TASvideos. Besides, I think that the definition of 100% I gave is perfectly reasonable, and it happens to include them.
And the definition at SDA is actually superior when it comes to this. Collecting maps is just ass to do. There's a reason why, in for example Super Metroid, you only need to collect powerups in order to get 100%. Visiting the map stations is useless. Why should it be any different with Majora's Mask? Because you won't get any % in it? Why make a new 100% definition when there are good ones in other games and at SDA.

It really isn't that bad with your goals of the TAS. But a lot of the slow downs you do in order to get, for example, the KONG letters, hurt my eyes sometimes :D. But yeah, you have to slow down some to get them so... You have the skill to make a bit more serious TAS, which you can submit to the site later. So why not give it a shot?

You need an emulator with record reset. Use V11 instead.

Hmm, I think you missed out a corner boost or two, going to check this more clearly tomorrow... Time to sleep and watch the warpless run the first thing in the morning.

Then use the NES version of the game... It is the best option really.

Still VERY unoptimized... As I said before: If you really want to do the All Stars version you shall use Left+Right all the time as it is faster. I saw at once on your rerecords count that this is far from optimal. Keep practicing though...

I'm trying to put up good 100% definitions, but yeah... But everyone have their own lame definitions. Like the one in LoZ... Worst ever.
