I'm not sure about the NES version... But in the SNES version you can go down (and up) a pipe from the side of it. That would save some frames at each pipe really. I presume this is a known thing, but at it isn't used in the run I had to ask...

You shoul be able to get 1:50, no doubt. Perhaps around 1:45 I presume... You save a lot of time in dungeon 8 for example, with the pit glitch. Half the dungeon goes bye bye :D. I've soon finished the pegasus route for dungeon 3 now. Will finish that today, and probably get up to dungeon 4.

Ok. I'm going to work with it right away. Must ask first... You can still do the pit glitch with a pegasus seed, right? If not, it makes some difference with the route. You will have it done in the end of next week, at least. Probably earlier:). EDIT: Oh, just found a nice thing I didn't know about before. If you push a pot you can get an item, if you lift it afterwards you can get one more item. This means you can get two pegasus seeds from one pot. Don't know how hard it is to manipulate though... :). And I also did a miss with the pegasus route... you can manipulate seeds from the pots in the beginning of dungeon 3.

HAve known about that glitch for a long time:). You could save a lot of time at Jabba's ship with that.

Here are the default seasons http://www.vgmaps.com/Atlas/GB-GBC/LegendOfZelda-OracleOfSeasons-Holodrum(Default).png It's only in the village where it is different seasons every time (I think...) Ok, I'm looking forward to it! EDIT: Bah, you need to fix the link first apparently... EDIT again: By the way.. what do you thought about my "pointless" pegasus seed guide? And when do you want me to have the route done for them? As you are starting to use the seeds pretty soon, it might be good to have it done. In case you don't want to do it yourself though... I just wanna help^^.

<NesVideoAgent> New reply by dezbeast (GB: Zelda, Oracle of Ages / Seasons): http://tasvideos.org/forum/p/105032 <Tompa_> YAY!!!!!!! Haha. Ok. I have added you to my MSN list anyway, if you are using the program or just checking your email=P. I also see that you have come 11% in the run. That mean you are close to the shovel I presume... Are you going to post a WIP when you reached dungeon 2?

But the you have to see the whole introduction, which is pretty long... And those sounds when Link slash with the sword are just annoying:S. Can you do all the bugs in the GBA version that you can do in the SNES version...? Like walking over holes and the <+> walking?

Alrighty, half the job with the pegasus seeds in Seasons are done. http://www.filecrunch.com/file/~56geoc There you can see where it is best to get refills at least. Will do the rest part later *yawn*. And as usual, ask if you don't understand something or have better places for refills.

Yepp, three. I haven't heard of more than those anyway. For the RotJ run, shall I use Jedi or Normal skill? I have now got the controller to work, shall just learn to use it well, hehe ;D. We will see where it ends. EDIT: Ok... I can nearly say that I give up already...

I have playing through the game to the last level on the emulator. And I didn't beat the level because it's so hard ;D. But it looked fine, I think... About the controller: It works good on other emulators. It's just the SNES one that it messes up with, and it annoys me (Ask my friend.. .he knows;D)

I suck at TASing really... ;D, that's why I haven't started one my own... And well... Maybe I can learn, hmm. I can see what I'm able to do so I guess I can start practice a bit:). DON'T EXPECT ME TO FINISH! Because I hardly think I can really, hehe. Ok then, haha:D. I will need a lot of help though=). EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm taking Return of Jedi... EDIT AGAIN: I HATE THIS CONTROLLER! For some reason I can't set up the controls with it. I mark the "a button" marker, press a button and instead of the a button, it becomes "up" on the control, HUH?! Is it my controller's fault or the emulator?

I just had to dump this topic as I think a Super Star Wars run would be needed on the site:). I like the Return of the Jedi the most and did find a couple of small tricks while playing it on my SNES a couple of years ago... Oh well, whatever. Shall just ask if there's someone here who would like to TAS any of the games...? 1½ years ago when the topic was created there were some interest at least. And what do you guys say now?

It also works in the underground so it might come in handy somewhere... Glitch researching is fun, hehe :D. I'm at dungeon 5 with my pegasus seed "route" (Actually I'm just writing down where to get them at the moment.). I guess you don't have any use of it yet. So I can't wait to post it:).

It seems there are 2 different paths the Subrosian can be manipulated to take in each screen depending on how many times you slash before going to the next screen. There is a way to do this in real time. Just memorize how many times to slash for her to take the quicker path. Vespa happened to lose over 450 frames at that part.
Yeah, I have been thinking of this as I remember she's walking different paths. Forgot to mention it though... EDIT: Just found a thing with the magnetglove that can be in handy: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2969/MagnetGlove.vbm You can jump in the air this way. The place I did it on could have done faster, but I just wanted to show you:). New EDIT: Bah, I now found an improvement to your run, Vespa... A bit late maybe. But when you are on your way to take the mystery seeds. After you have pitglitched over the holes carrying the rock you throw it and lose some frames. But if you instead throw it on the ladder you will go down it without losing any time.

It depends on how much you wish to improve if I find something you could do better ;D. Try to post like before and after each dungeon or something... I don't know. As for Pegasus seeds: One seed from the tree gives you 6 to use others it is 5. One seed can last for around 480 frames. I have been looking for some bushes/pots that you can manipulate to drop these seeds. So long I haven't found a good one that doesn't cause you to lose time. But there are those bushes in the Animal Region that will drop seeds. Some enemies that drop seeds are the creeps hiding under bushes, the moldorms, the enemies flying around the screen which everyone hates etc. I know that there are more, but I have nothing 100% sure at the moment :D. Will continue... I also found out with Ricky that you don't need to charge the punch to destroy bushes that are at a hole. Ricky can jump and hit them in the air without losing any time.

Oh well... I feel like I have nothing to do right now. So I will try to set up some Pegasus Seed routes:). That's like the only route thing I've left I presume. And I want to help as much I can. I will first look after where there are pots and bushes with seeds in them, and then check for the best places to use them on. OOOH yeah, this is going to be hard :D.

I'm watching your run at the moment, have just beat the blue switch palace, nice :D! I really enjoy this, as I did with JXQ and Fabian's run. Well made Chef. If you are quitting on this you can always improve any of the LA runs, haha^^. EDIT: Was reading through the routes to the Small Only only.. I was wondering.. Why aren't the switch palaces included in the route?:O

Now you have made 8 replies in a row, so it's time for me to say that your improved run looks really nice! How much more can you improve the full run you think? As much as a minute?

Very nice run! Perfect, great entertaining and well made. I'm very glad that you finished this, I know it has been a real pain for you. But it was definitely worth it!

I also thought that was slower, oh well. Good that it's fixed now. Have you found any more improvements?

Oh, what did I miss now?:O Hmm... Got to look at it again... I'm not using frame counter or similar when I'm watching WIP's, just using my own eyes and mind to see if something could be improved. When I'm watching your movie now I can't see what you did that slowed you done... What was it? Good Vespa that you found out though. And also that you, dezbeats, wanted to remake eveything again.
