Round 2 of the triple endurance fight may be the most entertaining thing I've ever seen in an MK3 tas! Although I do agree it's hard to draw a line on what to accept and what not to when it comes to this game, that part alone makes this a yes vote for me. Plus, it's the longest run of this game we've had, and the rest of the game is also very entertaining.

Most of what I said here applies to this run also. Strong no vote.
I agree. Besides the fact the hack lacks professional polish, I don't even think a hack being super-hard for the sake of being super-hard warrants a published TAS on this site. To me it's barely different from a run of NES Super Mario Bros Frustration/Forever, which also doesn't deserve to be published since the game is virtually unbeatable withOUT being tool-assisted in some way (even if it's just using savestates over and over without the use of slowdowns), so what's the point of the hack even existing? For that matter, I don't even think NES Air and Air 2 deserve to be published for the same reasons (Air 2 actually is). They can be interesting to watch, but do they really deserve to be published here? A hack that deserves to be published IMO is one like Super Mario Adventure, which is an excellent hack, and is actually fun to play without the use of any emulator tools.

HUGE Yes vote. I absolutely despised this game as a kid and had neither the patience nor desire to continue with it after my party repeatedly died early in the game. SO glad to see someone finally give this game the ass-kicking it deserves. And thank you, nanogyth, from the bottom of my heart.

I'll wait for an encode before voting. But I can tell you now you may want to look at the site rules page before submitting future runs: http://tasvideos.org/MovieRules.html One-level runs are rarely accepted. If the game/run is too boring as a complete TAS, then it will probably just end up getting rejected anyways.

If you want to see BLJs abused to their fullest, then the upcoming 120-star run is for you. It doesn't limit itself. As for the strict categorization, I don't know that you can come up with a clean, concise category for this run. Who cares? It's awesome anyway.
Well, I have to say I'm excited to see the 120-star run. But the reason I don't like the BLJ limitation is because you could come up with tons of self-imposed limitations on this or any other game's runs. Like if this run is accepted, what's to stop the site from accepting an Ocarina of Time "No Dungeon puzzle skips" or an NES Super Mario Bros. "No glitching through objects" run? Both of these would cause an author to come up with new, even entertaining methods of beating the game, but are arbitrary, un-needed goals that only serve the lengthen the run, and like BrainStormer said, would be sufficient as a Youtube encode. But that's just my opinion..

I think there's no reason to not allow BLJ anywhere in the run. Why not make a run entitled simply "70-stars" or "all required stars" and allow BLJ in the run? It would be a faster TAS, and also fulfill the whole point of making the run - getting all required 70 stars without completely breaking the game. As entertaining as this run is, the goal just seems completely arbitrary to me, at least more arbitrary than simply "all required stars" and completing that goal as fast as is possible with all tools at your disposal, including the BLJ

I said no to the first, more entertaining, run due to game choice, but it was still much more entertaining to watch than this run. No vote, for poor game choice (this game is more of a parody game) and lack of entertainment.

If I could vote anymore, it would be "No" for the same reason I wrote on Aqfaq's submission wall. Poor, poor game choice. It's much better suited for a regular speedrun, and it's wholly unentertaining. And just like I said before, I might consider thinking about it if you TASed the whole game and not just this one crappy minigame.

yet another unentertaining, short, crappy game from aqfaq that's better suited as a speedrun. Although I must admit I would think about maybe considering this if it played through the whole game and not just baby moses. As it stands, NO for me.
