I think we should argue some more about what fake actually means, that will help.

1) I think people can vote how they damn well please as long as they watched the movie and it is their honest opinion, and 2) I'm accepting this submission.

moozooh: I think it helps just to play the game for a few minutes, but here are some explanations anyway: >what I completely didn't understand is those long and tedious block arrangement which didn't bear any noticeable benefit Some enemies kill merely by having line of sight. >... left them overlapping two squares, ... Maybe more time could be saved by doing that? It's not impossible that Baxter missed half a square somewhere, but minimizing travel length has been a well known factor in the TASes for this game. >Another thing I didn't understand is the reason why all the monsters of the level are usually standing still, but start moving only after you pick up one of the heartpieces (not always the first one on your way, IIRC) or something like that. They usually start moving when you get the last heart piece, to stop you from getting the pearl. Baxter: Will watch and judge soon.

Though technically applicable to any such involvement, it refers chiefly to various related social dynamics observable on the Internet, and is seldom used outside of that context.
Why can't I understand what that means? I have read it about 5 times and I still can't understand what it means. I'm baffled.
Translation: Shipping means to imagine that people in books/movies are in love.

Sounds great. Will report back later on how it solved the problems I had previously.

>I'm mostly worried about continuing a WIP movie, loading a state so I wouldn't have to sit through the whole thing, and suddenly noticing that I lost all progress I made by loading that state. I'm not sure what you want to know. Guess: mark read-only when playing a movie, then you can never destroy it by loading a state. You can switch between read-only and read-write with Ctrl-T (this does not affect the movie in itself). Make many backups of your movie file, and you'll be less sad when you mess up, because you probably will sooner or later. I make tens of backups whenever I make a movie.

>My next one might even be Zelda 2. Viciously downstabbing some poor enemy? Or maybe he shoots off to the side by trying to walk to the left with one leg and to the right with the other? I like the SMB3 idea with looking bored while getting 1ups from cannonballs too.

>Also if someone could give me a clearer meaning to the method of re-recording, that would be highly appreciated (I didn't quite understand the methods on the FAQ). When you save a state (F5), you are making a copy of what the game was like at that point, and which frame (time) it is on. When you load a state (F8), this information is loaded, and the game is effectively rewound to the previous point. If you are recording a movie, saving and loading a state allows you to rewind the movie along with the game, so that everything you recorded after saving the state disappears. This way you can re-record a part as many times as you want, by loading the state every time you make a mistake, until it is played well. You then save a new state, and record from there. Hope that was clear enough. This isn't a completely truthful picture, but it works for getting the concept. The best way to understand it is really just to try it.

>Uggh... The people at this site really aggravate me sometimes. Hmm? Because of few replies? I had plans to watch it, but if you are redoing it I might wait. If you're doing many changes like that with hex-editing, don't expect it to be painless...

Even though I could guess from context, I had to check urbandictionary.com just to be sure. I had only heard the term "Slash" before, has this gone out of fashion now? In any case, I doubt this is the appropriate website for this...

I thought about the direction of pull too, but it's really funnier this way. Also, Mega Man IS fat. Proof on the bottom of this page!

It is from darktemplarz, yes, and I it looks like it is listed as "Mortal Personality Disorder" there. I thought their site was down? It's probably made with the arcade version.

Nice one. I like the look on his face. :) Other suggestions of well recognized glitches: * The SMB2 vine grab mega-jump glitch. Luigi is suddenly pulled upward by a mystical force at violent velocity. Might be hard to loop... * Samus aiming restlessly while running.

>Loading any savestate invalidates all later savestates, and makes them give an "inconsistent state" desync warning even when recording. This sounds exactly like a problem I reported to Upthorn earlier. He suggested I must accidentally have activated read-only, because the "inconsistent state" warning should not occur in read-write mode.

Looks good so far. I like the Nightwolf axe thing. I uploaded the darktemplarz movie I talked about, but I'm not sure if you'll need it. Mostly it's Ermac being a combo whore, but Sonya, Cyrax and Kung Lao have nice combos too. Some of them depend a bit on the opponent playing along to set it up. Here it is: http://www.savefile.com/files/276327

I had watched most of it already. The flying monkey-infested black level was very entertaining. Stage 8 boss looked like it could have been done faster. Why jump in the beginning? You lose a lot of time when you could have been shooting. In the next stage you lost time waiting for the flying monkeys. You missed one of the spikes coming out of the ground several times. (no 'ting' sound) You overjumped the goal in the mine cart stage by a lot. Next level, you missed going under a spiked pole twice in a row because you were bouncing on an enemy. Couldn't you have killed him before? It's a lot better than the previous one... I think. I guess Highness's version includes the initials. So this one is about 1.5 minutes faster at least.

I don't care much for 0 shurikens. You get new ones almost immediately anyway, so it seems pointless. I'm interested in seeing an improvement to Neofix's run. I've been planning to do it myself, but my TASing plans have gone nowhere lately.

>When you click Open, it defaults to all files (*.*), but the dropdown "Files of Type" contains masks for all currently supported formats. The standard is to have a selection like "All movie files (*.fmv; *.fcm; *.smv ...)" and have this as the default (but Keep "All files (*.*)" as a selection). That screenshot makes me want to try too.

I tried BK3 on Very Hard now... first try had 4 deaths. :/ Second one had only 1 death. And just like I expected, it happens on the Jet boss. I really need a better strategy there. It's easier in SoR3, because you can roll away from a lot of attacks. Link

Sorry I didn't mention this earlier... I thought Highness would have noticed a mistake like that. The movie was good otherwise, I especially liked using the enemies for platforms.

>I have mostly assumed it is the former. It has been both. It is the former especially in cases where taking damage would save very little time, or needs to be taken in very few places.

I took a look now. - It seems, especially in the downward vertical levels, that you can jump before the end of the platforms, to fall down faster. You miss doing this in several places. - In the ice levels, does it help to jump when you start? You accelerate slowly on the ground. - Does it help to duck next to the goal to reach it faster? - The twitching is annoying. As hell.

There absolutely is a button for Move instead of Attack. I have great difficulty believing otherwise. You should look at FAQs and such before starting, if you haven't done so already.

What, done already? I suddenly feel an urge to get off work for today and go home. Will comment once I have seen it. ---- Three minutes gained and looking so much better. Clear yes vote. I hope some other people take the time to watch this.
