Because it's not the name of the game anywhere in the world. I have a better question, why don't you stop making these incredibly unuseful and un-funny posts? What's the point?

>And you, who are you to tell me that!?? It doesn't matter who I am. I could be a total newbie making my first post and I would still be just as right about following the rules. You didn't say that you watched the WIP, you said that you didn't watch it and voted Yes because it's a good game. So you can't really say that I'm jumping to conclusions either. It was you being unclear. I don't feel it's necessary to continue this, because you already explained, but I think it's a good idea to take a second and reflect on how what you write will be interpreted.

Might I suggest that this movie be renamed to the western name "Megaman and Bass", just like the other Rockman movies have been? I think most people doesn't know this game under this name.

Ahem.

Do you think you are somehow special and don't have to follow the rules like everybody else?

I told you would get the frames, but as I did so I realized i had mixed things up. There are two long rooms with stairs on the way to Ridley, first one is 8900-9020, second one is 9530-9700, but they are not identical. One has a bump in the middle (in this room you jump up the stairs), one does not (in this room you run up the stairs). I'm guessing the bump in the floor makes the difference, because you have to jump anyway. Sorry about that.

I like Stage 1 fine the way it is. I wouldn't redo it. You don't need internet access to work on a run. In fact, I have found that the best way to actually get something done is not having it.

Good to see you working on this. :) Question: in the space station, corridor with stairs on both sides, you jump up the stairs when you go right, but just run up them when you go left. What is the reason for this inconsistency?

I'll do something about it then. Can't say when, but stay tuned.

Well, I thought it would be nice to have a working end demo, so I picked the one that worked. It didn't occur to me that people would be put off by the fact that that version ran at 50 Hz. Anyway, progress is nil so far since January, sorry 'bout that. I hope I can muster the energy to finish it some time.

>Can I ask why you are even using the European version? Because the end demo doesn't work properly in any Japanese version I've seen so far. But if you know of a Japanese ROM version in which the end demo doesn't crash, perhaps I can switch. (Hopefully I can hexedit in my progress so far so I don't have to start all over.)

>Actually, the run is great! Why don't you submit it? Because in the 10 first levels he is 24 seconds (1432 frames at 60 Hz) behind the movie I'm making. Mine runs at 50 Hz (european version), so it looks slower in actual time if you don't compare the number of frames. In any case it's always good to have another reference to compare with. I should really get to writing those tricks for the speedrun which I promised I would list like two weeks ago.

This is a well-known bug, actually I almost think it's deliberate. In any case, I don't think that it should be used in a run, because it would just be casting magic over and over with all the characters standing still and no action.

Hopper was talking about trying to convince other people to vote for your movies (which Neofix did with the links), not oneself voting for his/her own movies. We discussed voting for your own movies before but there wasn't any consensus. I don't think we should start that discussion again, at least not in this thread. About next game, I'm with atro city. Because he persuaded me. And also because GA3 blows.

I think it's pretty obvious that GA1 will be published. I'm not too sure about the others, they haven't drawn that much attention from viewers. Also I know of a few ways to improve on Shinobi 3 (like I wrote in the submission topic).

I haven't been following this thread, and I also haven't played Fusion beyond the two first missions, but now I took a look at it. My question is, is there anywhere where the extra items save time? So far it looks like you're running trough everything efforlessly, so 0% would be the same as any%. Correct or not?

Blublu: depends on what emulator you use. Gens outputs in M:S:F, so some kind of conversion to raw frames is necessary before you compare two times.

Not really, no. Auto-detect just picks a country that lets you play the game, and switches if the game goes "Developed only for USA and European blah blah." Since this game has no issues with the country being set to Japan, that's good enough for auto-detect. Setting Gens to auto-detect and Japan (what Gens selects) directly gives the exact same results. I hope that's the last time I'll have to explain it.

Yes 1 up. Looks well played, a whole lot better than the previous version.

Well... the ending will appear as it appeared to you when you played it, because you played the Japanese version. I suppose it is in English, I can't remeber (and can't check right now either).

You didn't, on purpose at least. I realized it when it desynched for me and I compared with your config. You had auto-detect on, I didn't, the only country setting that worked was Japan NTSC.

>... somebody would figure out a way to dodge all the raindrops in a downpour (for fun) and record it. I think people winning obscene amounts of money or getting laid constantly would be more accurate guesses of what people would do. Perhaps try out the dodge thing with a Kalashnikov. (Crap, I messed up my savestates and it desynched...) Uh, well... anyway... hurrah for people accidentally born in the same country as me winning an olympic gold. It makes me feel like I personally accomplished something.

There had been several requests for a run of this game, but the reception has been quite chilly (only 4 votes). It is because people think the playing quality is low, or because it's not interesting enough for anyone to take the time to watch it? Lives are used as ammo in this game, so I don't think there's any contradiction between "doesn't take damage" and using that jutsu.

Ooooh, internet drama. I like reading long descriptions if there is interesting information in it, which there usually is. I suppose some people want to keep more of it a surprise.

Well, what do you know. I thought you were gone for good. If you do get the motivation to take this submission a few notches higher, cancel this one. I think you can do it even though it is set as accepted. If you can't, just write so here and I'll fix it. Boat levels, no idea really. As for the desynch, repeating what I said in irc, Volume Height Envelope Reading has to be ON, or the movie will desynch in that exact place which Bisqwit showed us. Also, there won't be any music in the stages.
