>it didn't make sense to have one movie nominated for both most unexpected and most anticipated That makes sense to me too. Thanks for the explanation.

>Even if I could magically visit a bonus level at the end of each nonboss level (so I'd have them all by the end of SY2), I would waste much more time in the bonus levels than could ever be saved in the actual game. Hm, can you save time in this game by having all the emeralds? I thought the only benefit was a better ending.

Battletoads! Not everyone gets to obsolete a Phil&Genisto-we-kill-every-game-that's-in-our-path-duo video by almost 4 minutes.

Would you mind elaborating on those reasons here too?

Had to go with Rygar. It goes trough a solid wall, down a lethal hole, walks on thin air, smashes up lots and lots of robots while ducking on nothing, and finally teleports to the last boss by dying in an original way. The MegaMan games come pretty close though.

>Voilà! Way to kill our run Viper. :P At 4820 you don't do both the stomp+kick that Flagitious did. Randomness again? Other than that it's magnificent.

Treadmill (no H) is a variant of a conveyor belt. When in doubt, check www.m-w.com I was more curious about 81950, and why you turn right so late.

>Of course, if I'm full of crap please tell me. You're full of crap. :) You can bind separate buttons to autofire in the improved Snes9x. You just have to make sure it starts at the right frame.

This wasn't bad, especially not for a first. I'm not sure if there would be any interest in this game, but be aware that being slower than a non-tool assisted record almost means disqualification from the start. So while it's not publishable, I'd say it looks promising. I had never played this game before, so I can't help you with the actual playing I'm afraid.

Problem: I watched half of the Gradius movie. After that i pressed back in my browser, next page in the flash selector, and then the MegaMan2 video, which started somewhere in the middle (just before the BubbleMan level pause glitch actually). Any clue what went wrong? Edit: The next clip to be played after that one was from Metal Man's level.

It's not bad, but it could be better, and that's probably what people are going to say if you submit it. If you have the stamina, make another version. You'll probably notice that it will be a lot faster already in the first level with the stuff you learned over time. For a concrete suggestion on what can be done better, the very first menu handling can be a lot faster. Use frame advance and find the first possible frame the game will accept input on. Test if it's possible to press start on the same frame as you make the last move, or if you have to delay it one frame.

That... was awesome. Things you probably have reasons for: - Not doing the biggest jump possible at the start of GH2 (guessing jump from the downward slope) - picking up the first invulnerability at the start of GH3 and not using it (guessing it's just in the way) - delaying the eighth hit on the boss I tried some more with the inside-wall situation. No luck. I also landed between the spikes above that wall by accident, but it's most likely not useful.

Repeating what I said in the Sonic2 submission topic: I definately think it should have a star. It is of the same quality as the S3&K run, and should be very impressive to anyone even if they haven't played the game before (well who hasn't). Anyone against? I know you're not because I'm always right. :>

On a slightly more positive note, how about giving this movie a star? It has the same quality as the S3&K movie, and it looks extremely impressive even if you don't know the game, I think.

>Probably the best one, though...is my still-sealed copy of Final Fantasy. How do you know there's a game in there? Maybe you should open it just to check, just in case?

Come again? You have renamed WHAT file to disksys.rom? If you have the real disksys.rom file, place it in the same directory as your other Famtasia files. You can find the directory by right-clicking your famtasia icon and choosing properties.

So right-click the icon, choose properties, and check the filepath. This is where your Famtasia files are most likely located. This is also where you would like to place the bios-files.

Interesting. I'll see what I can do. I can say this at once: >I'm not sure if I die because Sonic, wherever he is, is somehow colliding with a spike, somewhere, or just because that's the first part of the level that has no bottom whatsoever, and Sonic, wherever he is, falls completely off the map. It's not a a spike and it's not an enemy (because the sound is different for spikes, and you had rings), so the only remaining option is a pit. Looking at what the screen looks like here - below where you usually supposed to be, this seems reasonable. But while the screen is scrolling, you can jump. So you have to be standing on something, or else some other strange behaviour is occuring.

You can check which button it is in the Input -> customize hotkeys menu. You want to check the "show pressed buttons" key and press it once while playing.

Dark Mana: Just get the latest improved version from Snes9x forum, it should be linked somewhere there. Then the options will set themselves when you load the movie.

I haven't found the meaning of pakkun anywhere, but Pakkun chokolate is the name of another powerup in Secret of Mana, so I guessed the fire flower, being a powerup and all. It didn't occur to me it could be the plant. But it appears you are right.
