Well, it's not like the techniques are vital for game completion, but the fact is that they are invoked by certain button combinations, and some of them are invoked by pressing opposite directions.
No, this is incorrect. The tech select screen shows both left and right pressed, but you only need one of them. I played the game just now to check, it's fully possible to do a fire wheel tech pressing only either left or right. (I had almost forgotten how crazy the music, story and dialogue of this game is.) I think I've said this before.

This is good and better than the old version. So I think it should be published. I voted Yes. However, Michael Flatley has started a new 100% version in the SNES forums which is already faster at some points. Do you have any plans to make a new version with the tricks from his video?

According to Omnipotent in the Zelda in 5-minutes submission, it's possible, but "you have to have popeye arms."

No. You were slower than Mazzic's work in progress in several places. Check up on it.

Has been discussed a few pages back and turned out not to work when you were already going at a certain high speed. In the spinning cylindrical metal net, is it possible to manipulate which height you exit from, by jumping or anything else? I never understood how they worked. If you can exit higher there's one jump less you have to perform.

I've found that computerized translation usually doesn't do a very good job, the only exception possibly being technical descriptions. A lot of extra work is needed to produce something which actually makes sense. I can translate the exact meaning from Swedish to English (as above) but knowing what sounds natural or humorous is something else. Looks like you got it pinned down anyway. If you're interested, the only other swedish-english translation device I know of online is this dictionary: http://www-lexikon.nada.kth.se/skolverket/sve-eng.shtml It's free though, and as usual you get what you pay for.

Do you speak any Swedish? If not that was a very good attempt. Did you do it only by looking up the words in a dictionary? Tintin's noting the Gestapo-like tactics of the APB: Där går de avskummen med sina gestapofasoner = There are those scum with their gestapo manners. (law unit?): lägenhet = apartment Purple profiteering jellyfish: Undan, huggormars avföda = Away, O generation of vipers. (Biblical, but I know you realised this was some random insult.) (proper?) music: skräpmusik = crap music pirated images: piratkopierade låtar = pirated songs (Unsure translation): men någon måste göra det annars får vi inte se fler Britney-album = but someone has to do it or else we will not see any new Britney albums. Perhaps it would help you if you found his fileserver: Om ni följer nätverkskabeln så kanske ni hittar hans filserver = if you follow the network cable you might find his fileserver. it doesn't matter! They all get (something): dags att skaffa trådlöst = time to get a wireless connection.

I used to watch wrestling on TV3 and Kanal5 in Sweden back in the days when Hoa-Hoa commented on it. I didn't see much though since the only place I could watch it was at a friends house. We only had (and my parents still only have) the regular state-sponsored channels. Bah. Nowadays I'm more interested in K1 and MMA. Mostly Pride after UFC went a bit sucky.

No. Does not beat game, and while there are some nice tricks, the full version by Viper already has a lot of that without slowing down.

I did the fall trough floor trick in Castlevania 2 on my second try. Never succeded again after that. So it's possible, but not realistic to pull off consistently. EDIT: The zipping trough the ceiling in Bubble Man's level (after pausing repeatedly) is also easy to do. The other ceiling glitches in MM2 are a lot harder to pull off.

This movie wasn't too bad. Actually it was so good Phil and Genisto deserve a ninja level-up. About categories: I agree that we should switch to 1-player with warps, and 2-player without warps.

The movie file only contains the keypresses. It's not possible to hack the game trough those. That you haven't seen a particular glitch before is a very poor indicator of existance. New glitches are discovered with almost every run on this site.

It's possible. But hard. It's easier if you remove the cover, but it's not absolutely neccesary. According to someone here. I don't remember who.

There is some weird slowdown at 0:01. Is it because of to many objects? Is it possible to go lower to avoid this? Perhaps it only influences real time and not in-game time. At 0:06 you walk backwards for about 20 frames. Is this to clear the green enemy later, or because of the controls lock up? If you hit the left topmost bumper you can go over the enemy directly, but probably this too many extra bumps. I'm not good enough to test it reliably. The zig-zag springs look weird in other places too. Do they send you off at a higer speed than maximum running speed? Sometimes it looks like your're trying to go as long as possible instead of cutting the last corner to continue forward as soon as possible. Is it possible to start moving left earlier when jumping up at 0:31? Before the final spindash, can you land further to the right?

I don't know if this game is interesting (or popular) enough to warrant two timeattacks, especially if the second one doesn't really add anything and is several minutes slower. That is, even if you make it perfect. Perhaps there is some other game you could focus your attention on?

What Zurreco said. What do you mean by "As fast as possible (almost)"?

The hammer brother moves two steps instead of one after the fortress. But you said you hadn't optimized that yet, so I guess it's OK.

I voted yes, mostly because of the super glitch. Like xebra said, this game is rather bad, but I won't let that stop me.

Yeah, those are definitely suggestions for improvements. Is he making a new movie already? I saw you suggested using FCEU, that's probably a good idea. The file format is quirky but frame advance more than makes up for it.

>I thought this was a tool-assisted perfect movie site, not a time attack site. The expressions are supposed to be equal. A lot of people confuse time attack with speed run though, so I prefed to say tool-assisted.

Make a savestate before the part you want to play back. When you start your movie, with READ-ONLY checked, just load the savestate and the playback will start from there. You won't have to watch the whole movie every time. The turbo button (usually Tab) is also very handy, but I think you know about that already.

You scored 0% Beginner, 0% Intermediate, 0% Advanced, and 72% Expert! Eh, no I didn't, you filthy lying bastard test. I know I slamdunked the first 20 questions. This is severly broken. ---- Heh, I saw now that her blog has an explanation and that the script sometimes gives 100% as 0%. That's better. I got "you scored higer than 1%" instead of 100%, unlike feitclub. Broken.

Allright. Thanks for trying out the suggestions at least. Unless someone has others, I guess it's green light to record the next level.

Whoa, you're doing this without frame advance? Why? You should try, it's great. No more guessing if you got the right frame. >The vertical shafts act like ladders. I guess because you can't see where I am, it looks sub-optimal. Ah, okay. So that's why Erik travels jerkier than the others when going up. But sometimes the jumps seem to be longer than others. There should be some optimal height of the jumps. Find it and use it constantly (easy with frame advance). >Okay. Thanks! (I hope this was a compliment! ;) ) It was. I also loved the bouncing from the springs with shifting all three players. >It was a glitch. I've actually used it a few other times before. I guess they weren't so obvious as this one. *shrugs* How and under what circumstances does this glitch work? >I'm going to be gone for a week (I'm leaving today) so I won't be able to continue on this until then, but when I return I'll utilize everything discussed. Thanks for your input! You're welcome. I'm leaving in five days and I'll be gone for almost a month, so I guess you'll be on your own after that. Maybe I can check the forums once or twice, but definately not play any movies. Good luck with everything.
