I'm not sure if this has been discussed but the more you hear about it the higher, you'll see (but probably not), the demand. Anyway, I looked through the hotkeys and could not find frameskip's or screen capture's hotkey, if someone could direct me to them that would be nice. If not, could you implement those two at the very least, speaking to anyone with knowledge of VBA and programming, then it would be a little more convenient. It turns out that screen capture and frameskip are the same key. Also, I have to bring up, could "lazy avi recording" be implemented in the next release. Even though not too many games are long and the resolution isn't as big as the other console emulator's I would feel safer knowing that I could leave a run recording and not have it corrupt. Just a few things I feel are worth noting.

Good Luck and make sure to answer every question in full otherwise they'll hate you like one of my good friends (actually everyone gets a bad rap from him, he's a good person as a whole. What a bunch of jerkasses).

I give this a yes because an improvement is an improvement and should not matter to those who voted no but that is my opinion and is not reconcilable, not that it matters.

Damn, I'm sorry. I'll find a better place to upload at or what I think you could do is get a download manager (FlashGet is a great one) and you may just be able bypass that crap with it. Edit: Hopefully this is sufficient: Both Sets of MKII Glitches Let me know if you still have to wait and I'll find another place to upload at.

Here's some more done differently. These ones use Reptile's Energy ball for the hit instead of Shang Tsung's Fireskull ball. I think I'll do 4 more sets, one being possible out of the last 4, because I still need to use Kitana's Fan and then reverse the effect where I get hit instead of the 2nd player, just for fun because I know that it is not possible for the computer to the do the combo of 2 green energy balls and the shadow kick as Johnny Cage.

Sorry to put a downer on your run but it just doesn't qualify. You should take longer to do these with added precision and entertainment. Test things out and do clever combos to catch people's eyes. Also slower speeds and frame advance are absolutely necessary for bonus effects (the unexpected). All I can add is to just try harder and you should be able to make a run most people on here can agree on so don't give up.

Really? what version of SNES9X are you using and what rom are you using? I made this movie with SNES9X Improvement v9 and I used the 1.0 rom not the 1.1 rom. See if this helps you view it.

I actually think I would benfit from a higher difficulty because the computer will try to dodge my fireballs instead of, on a lower difficulty, walk right into them. Using a code to fight Noob Saibot is a real bad idea because the next fight is against Kintaro and then Shao Kahn, by default, meaning there would be no glitched fatalities.

I've spent most of my morning on these: Mortal Kombat II Glitches And I know I have missed a lot of fatalities but this is just what is possible with your own fireball and not the enemy's.

I'll be voting no on this. The reason to this is that we have already discovered alot of funny things that should be in the movie. Those things are listed in the Mortal Kombat thread. Glitched fatalities should be used when possible, because it adds a high joy factor to the run. Atleast if you ask me. And I don't think anyone else said anything bad about them right? I'm still very disappointed that you skipped Smoke and Jade. I'd like to see them pawned. I would allow to use cheat for this game so that we can see Noob Saibot as well. Preferrably if you can manipulate the game enough to have those three fights in a row. That would be a killer! :D I'm glad that you used the Kintaro fatality. I always liked that. Also the "Tosty!" fatality with Scorpion. This is a great start, but not great enough. Sorry.
I definately agree with you, I kind of just wanted to see if I could beat it as entertaining as possible and still get a good time. I think I can safely say I did when comparing it to those rejected submissions that are 17:00 long and don't do much besides desync. Anyway since this game is still very fresh in my mind (only like three whole days of hard work, my back hurts.) I'll see what I can dig up but I don't think I'll cancel it since its entertaining and everyone who came in here has given it a good review; I'll be shooting for obseleting it though. See you in the MK thread for more details about this upcoming run and chances are it won't take three days to complete like this one did, more like weeks if everything goes fine.

And doesn't Rayden have a fatality where he electrocutes the enemy until they explode? I'd like to see that.
Yeah, but I felt that the ultimate uppercut was much more appealing and just totally out of the ordinary, but what fatality isnt though?

I'll consider doing another run but my problem is not knowing how to do the cool glitches, not entirely anyway. Also I want to add that how many glitches would be possible since the computer tends to foul up any creation and some of the glitch fatalities may not be possible because the computer may not be willing to cooperate, even if forced. I think we should collaborate a list of ideas, glitches, combos, and what to put in the next run. Why not fight Noob Saibot too? Nah, too much work and would definately be boring.

One question: why/how was the "?" level skipped?
It's a voluntary level in which the level before it you must only use kick buttons, if I remember correctly, otherwise it is skipped.

Some people think that left+right is a harware modification (you can't physically press left+right on the SNES controller without damaging it). Others disagree. It's a fragile subject. I say if you press left and right fast enough, it will register as left+right, due to the fact that the game only samples input at a certain rate, but that's beside the point. CC is not allowed, because not only does it require hardware modification, the CC ROM dump isn't exactly a replica of what happens in real life.
I have proof that it is possible to press Left+Right on an SNES controller, you can either remove the little ball in the middle of the D-Pad (on the inside of the controller) or use a 3rd party controller called Myiicco (probably others too) which has a faulty D-Pad center (not a ball but an outlet/tiny hole that sticks out; also on the inside). I have been able to, on Super Mario World, fly faster as helium Mario because of it.

I noticed that you didn't use any maximum combo...I don't know if you know... but when you of the one "maximum" combo you fall in the ground...It will probably lose some time... but if you execute it before Finish Him maybe don't waste time... Try this combo if you morph into Mileena again...
If I would have known about those before I would have used them... <sigh>. By that, I mean, I am already far ahead of the last time I used Mileena and I am sorry that I will not be using them in any previous fights but I might just use Mileena against Shao Kahn. Anyway I have a FINAL WIP before I submit the finished version. It's up to Kintaro (No, I didn't fight him yet. I want to build up the suspense.) and you'll find the finished version on the workbench when it's done. Once again thank you for the compliments/comments. Edit: I actually don't think it would be possible to continue Mileena's, second, combo after the uppercut because the computer tends to block a lot on Very Hard, even with the slightest recovery time.

Why didn't he dash at the end to get the item? does it not allow you to dash (I'm sure he would of if he could)? Either way that was fun to watch.

Hey, thank you very much for all the compliments everyone. Here's something for all of you, another WIP: Up to Level 8 I tried to do different combos this time around (as you would expect) and if you haven't noticed I'm picking the characters in the order from left to right (excluding Shang Tsung, I'll be using him for the last possible fatality if my math is correct) and I'll be able to do everyone's fatality (I don't know if I mentioned that since I'm lazy to check and I want everyone to know... About the Fatalities).

The only sounds I hear messing up are things like explosions and the ending gong not fading out quickly enough. At this is whether or not that "fake mute" option is on or not.
What makes the difference with the sound is "Volume Envelope Height Reading" which causes desyncs like crazy. Also the levels' background music isn't what it should be but I finish the enemy off before it gets annoying.

No,Volume Envelope Height Reading is off and the WIPs you see up there are not the ones that I wrote about. I will post one later when I feel it is good enough (pretty much where I am on the desyncing ones). Edit: The Real First WIP Thanks to Nitsuja's helpful suggestion there should no longer be any desyncs and you'll be able to speed through and use save states to view it. I started over from scratch and it looks pretty good. Any suggestions will be indubitably noted.

I have been wanting to start over because I didn't feel everything was optimized to the fullest potential. And if what Nitsuja says is right then I could storm right on through this game. I'll make a test run and let you know and don't worry this run will get done one way or another but the chances of it being published are pretty bad at least to me they are. But it seems that the first three levels are bullet-proof as long as there is no speed increase or excessive pausing or something like that. Edit: With the new options set-up there doesn't seem to be any desyncs and you can also speed through the video! I'll keep you posted and I have officially started over and I am already on level 3.

I've revised the fight against Rayden at the point where it usually desyncs and it seems like it no longer desyncs during that fight anymore unless it does in the beginning.

You could either record with a lossy codec (one that compresses video at the expense of quality) which are roughly XVID, DIVX, X264, etc. or you could record with a lossless codec (one that compresses video but doesn't alter quality) which may be HuffYUV, Tech Smith, etc. and then process it and compress with a program like Virtual Dub. The guides should help you understand this better and if you need more information then let us know.

1. Do you think that editing a movie with an editor like this should increase it's re-record count?
I don't think it should since when hex-editing it does not increase the re-record count. Also I am going to try out your program and let you know what I think. Edit: It seems okay but it doesn't show more than one frame at a time on mine. I think it has true potential and keep up the good work.
