I found this to be quite an excellent and entertaining run. It was also really funny to see all those bad guys get owned or have no chance to keep up with you. The use of the watch (even though it has options that are mandatory to use to progress in the game) was funny, it's as if he was waiting for time to pass while all hell was breaking loose around him and having no fear but much confindence that he'd be fine. Not to mention some of the other funny things that happened during the course of the run. Great work Rising Tempest, Yes vote.

I guess if there's going to be a run that obsoletes the other 3 then maybe it should be the fuller one which is this one. On the other hand, why not abolish all runs of Track & Field and just forget about it, leave it in an archive or something. I wonder how many people would actually be for this (as well as for another run to be taken down).

Funny, I was looking at JXQ's user page just last night and noticed that Super Demo World was being worked on or at least noted for another TAS. 4 authors huh, interesting. You guys do great work and this run is no exception. It was pretty damn enjoyable even after so many Super Mario World-esque runs.

First of all, congrats on your first TAS, I'm sure it feels pretty good getting it all done with. I really enjoyed this run (a run I thought about doing) and that I'm glad that it was 100%. This run looked like it took quite a bit of work but feels real relaxed, all the way through. Yes vote, my friend.

Albeit, not YouTube and not crappy (at least in my opinion). I found this short film, Legend of the Blue Hole, to be quite interesting. It's quite original (I haven't seen much of anything like it). Usually, I can tell what's going to happen in a movie but this one is different.

Seemed a bit cliché at times (heh, in Track & Field?!) but I think this is as good as it's going to get. By cliché I mean doing certain things over and over again (not that you could really make it any more different) but that's okay, this game is repetitive and really doesn't deserve much attention in the sense that it's not very entertaining. Either way, yes vote, good work.

Is it possible to repair the archive with WinRar? There should be an option for that and if it doesn't work then something went wrong during either downloading or something on the uploader's side.

That was awesome Mukki! I may not understand everything that was done (I've not played the game through) but I found it very entertaining. Your antics were nice to see as they weren't bland in the slightest. I must thank you doing the run (not that I was eagerly awaiting the run but I was interested in seeing the end result), dealing with the desyncs and such. Congratulations on finishing up this run, I voted yes. By the way, it synced up with with the settings you used and I'm sure the Rice Plugin works as well.

Also, is there any way to upload only sections of video so that I don't have to keep uploading the entire WIP?
This is capable of doing what you've asked: http://dehacked.2y.net/savestateify.php albeit, I've never really tried it since I haven't TASed any SNES games, where I would release WIPs, in a while.

This is DaShiznawz' run, the very first frame of the cutscene where Link is opening the chest. Interesting enough, it's from another angle than that of Comicalflop's. You're about 33 frames slower, DaShiznawz. Don't give up though, you're really close to either matching it or surpassing it. I have faith in you, I'm sure quite a few other people do to. Also remember, TASing takes time so don't feel down because you're not the 'best TASer' because there is no such thing as the 'best TASer' around here. All we really have is experience, with the emulator and testing crap out in the game so take your time and enjoy yourself, the best you can.

I can see what all the rerecords went into. Great work Baxter. Quite a difficult game to TAS but I think you did it as good as it's going to get, for a long while anyway. Generally, it's entertaining (nothing really stood out to me or at least nothing I can remember. I mean, it's Arkanoid!) and overall, really well done. Yes vote.

I probably should have read your post entirely before answering :\ . In that regard, your best bet is to redo the boss fights as close as to the other run's (hopefully you can manage breaking even or a gain in time) or possibly waste a frame, or so, somewhere before entering the fight and then try hexing the fight together and see what comes of it. If you're not into wasting frames to gain time, you might consider finding even the slightest frame improvements (if possible and as long as they're not from lag frames since lag frames do not change outcomes, to my knowledge (unless the game depicts AI change from what frames you do what on)) in which could be enough to get the bosses to go back to the ways they were.

So it keeps desyncing huh? Check to see if you have Interpolated sound on, under 'Sound'. If it's on, turn it off because it's been known to cause desyncs. That's one possibility. There does not seem to be a problem with your movie file settings, you've got all the settings on that are supposed to prevent desyncs so that's good. Who knows, maybe this game has the same problem as the Star Wars games do (I've not tried them myself but I've heard about the desyncs) where It has do with something other than sound.

Hope this hasn't been posted yet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3mpbx0wFks -- This is pretty cool, a montage/crossover of video games or something like that. Edit: For those who're going to actually dig through this thread, I went ahead and replaced the link with the originally uploaded video in which isn't desynced.

Pretty well planned run. No matter how many Footsoldiers were destroyed, it never felt boring. The waiting periods were alright, some needed imagination but the rest were good. Good run, yes vote.

That was really entertaining, Cpadolf. Neat concept of ingame time over real time since it puts TASing to the test at Speedrunning, or something like that. I liked some of the stuff you did during the waiting periods like that wobbling Space Jump, that looked cool. Overall, it was a lot of stuff going on which didn't suck so I'll vote yes.

Heh, found this one to be quite a laugher. That second boss fight was just hilarious; He just stops, you know, and you're not expecting anything but then all of a sudden... Yeah, lol! Music's not bad for GameBoy, Konami did great work back in the day. Some thing's about the game were interesting or weird like the downhill stages where it appears you're going downhill but as a result you seem to go no faster. Generally, the concept of the game was 'goofy' but enjoyable so I'm going to go ahead and vote yes.

Nicely done, voting yes. The camera angles weren't too bad. At first they were bad but about 1/2 or 3/4 of the way through to the end they were neat. I liked all that air you got in the 2nd Bowser level, in the fight with Bowser, that looked pretty cool.

As much as I don't enjoy the GBA series as much as the classic NES series, I have to say I was very entertained by this. Showed off everything that I would want to see, not too long either for 100% map coverage. Not much else to say besides I vote yes on this.

The first game I TASed and submitted to this site was Castlevania III. I did the Grant path because no one else was into to doing it and I always wanted to see it done. I really didn't know a whole lot about the game (I sucked at it) but I did my best and have redone it a few times now. Basically, all I'm saying is that you should consider a game that you either like or want to see a TAS of. I highly recommend that you learn Frame Advance because it's much more useful than than just slowing things down. Just practice and you'll learn good habits in no time. Most importantly, have fun because otherwise what would be the point.

I thought it was a good run, had it's flaws but they're easily ignorable. I understand your intentions were to not submit this run because of how it appears to be unoptimized but it's good that you did anyway, gives us something to look at, talk about, etc. Albeit, it destroys the currently published run's time, I don't know if it should be published. It has a similar quality but a difference in mistakes. While Guano's mistakes were relatively subtle, at first (they're much less subtle now), yours are very noticeable but again you didn't intend on submitting this run, already knowing how sub-par it is, so I understand. I don't know what else to say besides I voted Meh for the general reasons stated in this post and that I hope you don't give up TASing, it's always fun to see newcomers and how they adapt to make a good run.

Try turning off Sync samples with sound CPU, that'll most likely do it.

As you may or may not know, I've decided to work with Truncated. In doing so we decided to redo the first level from scratch which we gained about 242 frames on. Most of the improvements came from optimizing movements and new strategies. The first level looks pretty damn good and as before, there'll be at the most 3 WIPs. So, here's the first WIP. Enjoy.

What a funny run. Looked pretty damn good even though I've never played the game. I liked how much of a jerk Bond was, you know, all the head shots before they even knew what hit them. Half of the time I didn't even see what you had shot or even if you had shot anything which is pretty cool. Overall I found it to be quite entertaining so I'll vote yes.
