solepussy seems like a rather "different" name on a gaming community.

Its not really being a dick about it, its just that the person may be Uneducated in the tas sense... Or just very stubborn :P

I have a good suggestion for this. As warp was saying earlier, when a run has the same main goal as nother with the same game and is completed faster, it obsoletes the other run. Seems fair enough right? The only problem with this is that there are some games that are beaten very quickly due to heavy glitches such as SMB by Phil, and the LOZ-2 glitch run in aout 3 minutes or so, and the ALTTP glitched run. These runs can not be put into Concept demos for this matter because they do beat the game faster with the same main goal. The only problem is that it would be better for the comminuty as a whole if the original non-glitched runs stayed along beside them since it will satisfy the average user/gamer to see the non glitched version. But, there are other movies like Bisqwit's SMB walk-athon. This is clearly a demo due to the fact of the game is played differently to show a "demo" way of beating it that is slower than the original. Say for instance someone did a megaman 6 run with walking only. That's a clear demo. Using a different character in a game that is slower to show a different way of beating a game should also be a Demo. So, A demo in my mind can be: - A slower movie using a different movement to beat the game. - A slower movie using a different character to beat the game. - A movie of a "hack" ROM This is what i can pick up so far. Instead of asking others to tell you what it means, we as a community should all try to put together what would benefit the site.

I usually find the same problem, so I edit the names of the movie files when I download them.

Hmm, very nice noticeable and fancy wily 3 boss fight. One question though. When zipping though the last "water" filled long hallway in wily 3, does it make it faster if you rapidly press start/select all the time? I find it kind of annoying :). Also noticeable, You seem to press select rapidly only at the end of the wily4 boss fight. are there lag problems that cause you to be(or seem to be) slower during the start of the fight(against second form)? Other than that, Ill vote yes. EDIT: I think the screen shot of the cutman fight is a neat idea. it looks like rockman/megaman is not even there and it looks like cutman is throwing the rock at some unmasked/fake cutman. EDIT2: Also, thanks for thanking me for the cutman fight :D

Thanks moderator. Let me know if there's a definition for concept demo floating around that I'm not aware of.

Adelikat: i said that it wouldn't bother me if this run obsoleted Poms. But it would bother me if it was put into concept demos. JXQ wrote: notBowen wrote: I think this should be published alongside the other run but not replacing it. Concept demos are more movies with strange goals rather than strange methods aren't they? Aren't they? What the hell is a concept demo? Hacked game? Starting from SRAM? A really short game? A run that isn't "normal"? A run that sucks but for some reason is published anyway? A way to publish four different movies of the same game without someone complaining? Accomplishing something that nobody accomplished before? an answer! I think this could have been said alot nicer than this. Completely uncalled for.

Eclisped Moon: Is it still the game game. Its almost like taking mine and Angerfist's rockman 3 run and putting it in the concept demo because the movie applies to a specific version of the game.

After watching, I thought this was creative. It shows a different side to Super mario bros. Also, its not like Phil cheated his way to the end. This is my opinion on this movie. Phil found a faster route than Pom to finish super mario bros. He finished it ALOT faster than Pom did. And he did finish it since you can do the 2nd quest like Phil pointed out. I see no problem with publishing this either obsoleting Pom's movie or publishing it right next to it on the main nes games page. Usually the movies into "concept demos" are made to show something different like Hacked ROMs or slower routes, such as Bisqwits Walkathon SMB. This movie is totally different from a demo. I am voting yes. Nice movie Phil.

Since Angerfist is an idiot, someome else can explain me why "No commentaries" is not the same as "No comments"?
Sorry, But Phil is right. they do mean the same. Its just that "No comments" is more commenly used and some people may not have ever heard anyone say "No commentaries". And ah, Please refrain from flaming in the forum. It is just troublesome and causes meaningless arguements.

Sadly enough, I was not around for the ziplock era... Though i have heard of him. I hope the worst has not come to him, but from what i have heard, he was a good guy. I will remember ziplock also.

The sexiest glitch is the Left+Right glitch in NES Battletoads level 8.

I like the game, and the run was ok. At some times like using fire techneques to burn down trees, it seemed rather slow. I don't know the game all that well, so maybe it actually takes that long to use fire. The fights were extremely fast and entertaining. You seem to have taken hits to save time, and never got anything unnecessary. Voting Yes.

2) Wily Stage 2 - How about using Rush Jet instead of Rush Marine?
Rush jet is slower than rushmarine is in water/out of water. I did test using ruchjet instead of rushmarine, and marine won.

It seems awkward to be able to carry a charged shot through-out the stage :) This movie has some crazy UFO madness. Although its hard to call it a UFO since we know what it is. "Kirby's Alien-like Flying Machine" Wouldn't that be easier to type all the time. This game is very repititive. That is one big con of this movie. Although i enjoy watching kirby's celebration dance after every level. Surely enough, I do not have to wait very long to see it since JXQ finishes the levels quickly. This games music is not bad. Its not the best, but it is easy/good to listen to while watching. I loved it when the GB level/music started. brought back memories of kirby's dream land. The game seems to be played very well watching at 100%. Other than all that, this is a 16 minute improvement over Bisqwit's run. This run deserves a Yes vote, and nothing else.
