Wow, Holy Diver! Good to see you back in the submission queue, Vatchern. I always loved your runs of this game. For being a slow platformer, it's evident how brutal the difficulty gets, especially in stages 5 and 6. Yes vote for sure. Favorite changes to last run: New boss strategies. The few times in stages 5 and 6 you change weapons at the right time and get a white Breaker. The badass damage boost you get fighting a face enemy in stage 6 that knocks you back from a pit. Minor disappointments (but not really) compared to last run: Killing a snake in a flying section of stage 4 so it doesn't chase you around. No glitchy-looking kill of last boss final phase.
Thanks mklip. The damage boost in stage 6 was one of my favorite parts too. It kind of happened accidental when I was testing the room and decided to build around it. The glitchy looking kill of the final boss was a FCEUx issue with the rom.

Thanks Boct, im hoping it makes the tier jump too! Also, should add this to the aubmission as well, guess I forgot!. - Emulator used: BizHawk 2.2 - Goal: Fastest any% completion - Takes damage to save time - Manipulates luck And, my suggestion for the picture. Frame 28624 or 31476

Yeah, I have seen it. He seemed to have the same trouble as I did with the boss. However, I seen this after creating this topic. My run is faster than his, but people voted against publishing because they thought the game was too boring. So, I decided to stop my TAS and move on to another game.

I am currently TASing this game. I am looking for anyone help with the stage 2 boss. This guy is very easy to beat in normal playing, but I am having trouble in TASing it to perfection. If anyone has any suggestions or can find a way to figure out this beast, I would much appriciate it.

As I remember when Bisqwit and I were attempting to do a "non-glitch" run, we came to a halt. basically it was hard to determine what is a glitch, and what glitches we would allow, if any. ex. Jumping + start on ladder to dodge enemys. any chance Bisqwit you still have any of my old wips?

A multi-segment megaman run? pointless. It's 1 segment or nothing. A multi-segment is just an excuse for a bad player to get a name.

I have tried many things to try and get faster walking, but have failed. If you can get it to work once while recording, you should post it.

I admire your determination here mega_man_3. Before I continue, this has been tested in the past by myself, and probably a few others. It was tested to be slower then. However, in saying that, this doesn't mean that you should stop the test. It was years ago when it was tested and may have had flaws. I would love to see a third route TAS'd and be faster than previous runs. Good luck with this, I will quietly be following your progress. If you want, you can upload your .fcm's so we can watch your progress. Vatchern.
Thanks Vatchern! P.S. Were you talking about testing the strategy where you switch to Top Spin instead of Magnet Missile?
Ahh, no. I was talking about testing the route that you are taking.

I liked this run. I am not a OoT expert or anything though, and cant quite remember the previous run, but this one looked good at least. One thing though, on a 2 hour+ movie, does it really matter to enter in the name of the player as fast as possible? you could have named him "Bloobiebla" instead of "A".

I tried concrete man a couple times.. my best time was 1:30:ish. I cant seem to have a good boss battle at all. I beat my time on Tornado man, with a 1:38:39 time. After watching Trevor's run of plugman, i can see the kind of things i should be doing.

Trevor "aka" Megaman1 title holder. wouldn't expect any less from him, this is an amazing run. i love how the game doesn't count time when weapon select screen.

Hmm, I don't have the endless attack yet. it cost money :P. but, 3067 screens is a lot. also, 1:35-ish is a good time on concrete man stage. i haven't tried running that stage yet.

I am interested to see how people are doing with running this game. I have been trying stage by stage before i will try my luck with a full completion. right now I am having trouble cracking the top 10 in tornado man's stage. my best time is 1:40.43. i think the 10th time is 1:35.XX so... im 5 seconds off. is anyone else trying this online speedrunning thing? also, do you know if you can speedrun with protoman?.. his abilitys would help... also, can someone make me a tornadoman avatar?

wow, the changes and polls you can miss! I like this change. I mean, the votes are not always accurate. The judges can judge through watching the video more than the votes can judge the judges. anyway... we'll see how thism turns out.

awesome run. the route doesn't seem optimal to me (fighting Needle Man with Shadow Blades doesn't seem like the best option), but you would know better than i.
Whatever route you take you'll need to make some sacrifices. In this case, killing Needle Man this way is worth it considering the time you'll gain on the gemini stage.
because of Rush Jet, I assume. that makes sense. on a related note, has the early Rush Jet glitch ever been brought up?
Yes, the rush jet saves time in the gemini stage for glitching. Also, having the snake weapon saves a LOT of time on the last screens of the stage, and the boss fight. EDIT: - I have not watched this yet. I plan to when i have 30 min. Great job on improving my time. I look forward to improving this run also. Cheers.

I like how you can see others records for time trails, and race the world champion's ghost. :) I will post up my license ID later if anyone wants to add/race me.
