Ok, I am done Bonus Level 1. And the level ends at the same pins that my 1P one did. I stopped the movie where the toads just jump into the bikes into Level 3 and the time is 7:42.

I was trying to watch this run on the emulator the other day and went into a lot of desync problems, basically every time I save or load a state. So, what? Well, I'm now trying to improve it, not the time itself, but the "playability" on a newer, more stable emulator. I'm working on Snes9x 1.51 while I'm waiting for the next version of BizHawk that will accept DirectInput for the hotkeys.

The time can very definitely be improved, even if only by a few seconds. You can end the snake level early if you fall past the tail of the last snake. I'm not sure if it works with 2 players or not, but it would need to be tested. You can watch it in my latest speed run at 13:45 or so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITPfsKW-8Kw I ran into a few other bugs, but none of them were very useful. The only potential bug I ran into a few times is this level 1 skip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScHfbs13hXk I don't know if it's a legit thing or a cartridge bug. I tried reproducing it on emulator and had no luck (I also had no luck reproducing it on console, but it happened a few times over the course of several hundred attempts).

Wow, thanks a lot, PJ! about Biomechanical Toy; My computer can't handle this game very well, the frame rate is so low and the sound is so noisy that I almost got a seizure... I know it may play fine on the encode, but that's why I'm redoing Bttletoads; I like to watch the runs on the emulator. I don't know if it will be submitted or not, in any case I'll put it on my storage, it may encourage the authors to redo their run at least.

Thats really strange, dood. This game plays well for me in my old pentium 4 single core 3.0 and also, i'm playing it right now using an emulator in my cellphone and it's ok too. It's a pitty you can't play it fine on your computer, cause this game really looks good.

Don't tell me, I can play most of the Wii and GC games on Dolphin at full speed, so CPU power doesn't seem to be the problem, I just don't know why it's running so slow here :(

Try running the game in other version of FBA, just to see it it's not a problem with the particular version you're using. Also, just out of curiosity, try playing it on mame to see if it works fine. Edit: An all itens collection would probably give the viewer the best experience watching a run for this game.

So, I just downloaded "FinalBurn Alpha Rerecording v0.0.5.01" and still the same result here, tried MAME and no luck as well, I'm going to throw the towel, sorry.

No problem dude. Maybe someone else has better luck. I'll post the idea on the Arcade thread.

I knew you'd understand, besides, I'm not exactly an expert on arcade games (I still remember the Combatribe's fiasco...), I'm sure another TASer will do better than me. But let's get back on topic :) I still can not skip the first stage, like on PJ's video, but I have a theory that can explain how the glitch works; hitting the skeleton in the first possible frame and start running in any direction causes the skeleton to be pulled in that direction. I believe that PJ somehow managed to pull the background instead of the skeleton, so I'm testing this theory whenever I find a skeleton.

Yea I'm not entirely sure how it happened. I played around a bunch with frame advance and tested all the possible inputs I could've been doing during that punch, but had no luck reproducing it. :(
