Ugh. Toriyama should have stuck to his guns and had Goku die on Namek. THEN WE WOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS DISCUSSION.

I have to agree; Funimation's music, for the most part, seemed like filler. Except in the parts where there was supposed to be silence, then it was a rude disruption. Although, I'd have to say the dub music for Goku turning SSJ3, combined with his throat-ripping screams, works. It gives a sense of power to that scene that is actually effective. ...but I'm still glad they didn't change the music for Dragonball, except for CUTTING OUT "MAZASE TENKAICHI" AND "WOLF HURRICANE"! They could at least have worked up a lyricless version on their Casio set, I'm sure...

SSVegetto, hie ye to a Suncoast or local import store (or video rental place) and get a copy of Robotech/Macross, Mobile Suit Gundam, or The Big O, quickly! I would even suggest the original Dragon Ball from Funimation, because the dubbed DBZ cuts out a lot of the humor from the original (and a lot of the violence, but that's up to your discretion).

That's neat. It reminds me of seeing the entire LoZ overworld laid out in Nintendo Power. That takes me back... Also, I imagine it's nice to go back to re-recording after the...aftermath of playing Rockman without the option.

I think Blechy is referring to "faintwarping", that little teleportation blip that happens whenever you return from the weapon menu. You know, the thing that makes you fall off ladders. Boco might have mentioned that since both Mega Man and X do this, it's like a new version of them is warping in (only very, very quickly).

Well, it all depends; are you dead-set on submitting the first publish-worthy run, or would you be content to finish this timing-uncertain run, let someone else watch it and submit their run on the completed emulator, and then submit a faster run then they?

In addition to getting extra cash, will this render the Atlas glitch useless because of the experience you'll be gaining?

...I've seen that elsewhere. The one I saw had the word "1-up" appearing for every one of his...gyrations.

I'm not arguing; on other message boards I've been to, I've seen people with recolored sprites in their profile to represent created characters that look like, or similar to, the sprite in question. I'm just wondering if that was the reason nitsuja chose his image.

With the re-coloring, he looks like a ninja. Is this supposed to be a fan-created character for something?

Ah, I believe you misunderstood. What I was asking was, do you prefer the ability to re-record, and thusly to be able to create a single movie, rather than recording in parts as with ZSNES? Furthermore, how does the addition of re-recording make this current run different than your normal, skill-based 100% runs that you produced in the past?

So, Saturn...now that you've had some time to practice with re-recording and learning a new way to do 100% runs, what do you think of it? Do you prefer the "doing it on the fly" method of recording one long movie without breaks (minus the segments where you scout ahead for testing), or do you prefer making individual segments of different areas and submitting them as a full movie? What do you think, as an accomplished perfect-runner, of the new tools you've been given? In any case, this is turning out very well.

Why ask Nintendo, though--wouldn't it be better (though as ineffective, no doubt) to ask Enix, since they were the ones who produced the game? Or, if you really want to be pedantic, find out the names of the level designers for IOG/T, find out which companies they work for, and send an e-mail to the company, asking them for a response. (Likely answer; "Wh...that was over a decade ago!"

I suppose it boils down to if the Zelda games TSA plays are similar enough that he develops a groove he prefers to stay in through the different games, like "Oh, it's Zelda mechanics; I know this, this, and this always work so I'll keep doing it."

I think the PC Engine/Turbographix-16 is considered a "console", though I may be wrong. (Die, monster! You don't belong in this world.)

You can't bulldoze flames, but you can bulldoze the area around the flames, so they have no place to spread to. You can no doubt control a plane crash using careful slowdown and moving the map, even when you have no airport.

Good. We're both satisfied, because there's a Sim City movie that meets the goal.

Also, here's something else Capcom-related! For those who don't know, it's a preview for Namco X Capcom, a crossover game in the vein of Super Robot Taisen. The password for the zip file is "cross".

Just...try to stay calm, arright? I had the same problem with the Secret of Evermore movie because of a cheat left on. But, there's no reason to insult everyone and call them wrong.

...that, and the fact that you take a reputation hit when you hit a boss during their intro spiel, pretty much cancels that out. It would be better to play as either Alex or Ryan (Kunio/Rikki) alone, and get Gary (Sugata) at the beginning, or Rick (Maeda) at the park. Both characters have higher starting stats, so they can be used as support/a shield as necessary. Actually...I don't think you need reputation to get Ivan (Gouda), so if a little backtracking is ok, you have a third, powerful member for your group. If you've got him and enough reputation (hmm) you can recruit Tex (Godai), although I wouldn't recommend it--with three non-Zombie allies, Slick calls in help that really slows the game down. Actually, you get reputation every time you get knocked down (sympathy?), so if you let your partners handle the enemies and just run into a wall repeatedly, perhaps you can gain enough points.

Hello, everyone. Since the new VBA player seems to be working now, how about this game as a possible run?

If you find the right cards, you're able to unlock a secret level, but there apparently is no "true" end to the game--you just keep going until you collect everything, get bored, and stop playing.

This is odd...I'm running 1.43+, and I'm having the same desync problems watching the run as well. None of the boxes are checked, either, but when I watched a previous version, everything seemed to work alright... Edit: Ok, I think I've figured out the problem; "wobbling" seems to cause the game to desync. I'm not sure if that's only in the boss stages or not, but I'm not taking any chances.

...this is on par with Space Jam as the most rediculous use of a famous character in a medium. They could have at least made his attack yell a little deeper, to match the character. Oh, and did you notice how everyone used "'beat" or "defeat", but never "kill" or "die", even when it might have been appropriate? Now, a worthy follow-up would be to do Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City. Interested?
