It’s Amy alone — it’s the same run I already shown you when I told you about Ice Cap glitch, which made you lolwut and wtf :)
Amy+Tails would be certainly even faster. For example, in MGZ1, it would be possible to take shorter route in the beginning (making a big jump to take a shortcut).
Of course, it would be also more lovely :3
But I’m bad at playing 2 characters at once (though I actually can do it) — feeuzz is a lot better, but he doesn’t think he has enough experience with Amy to join this WIP. So he only helped me a bit.
Amyway, I’m not sure if I will submit the movie to TASvideos after finishing. I probably will, but I realize it can be rejected because the game is a hack. It’s mainly a project for my youtube channel, as many people know me as TASer of Amy. :)

Hmm, ghost moving pattern can be manipulated by pressing pause at the checkpost falling scene of the previous act, right?

Why don’t you disable display_errors in your PHP configuration for the forum? Everytime I get a PHP error, I’m seeing the error report in my browser. Under certain conditions, this kind of information can be used to get some info useful for hacking…
There is a much better thing — log_errors, which directs all error reports into a log file.
Within the primary site, the situation is a bit better, there seems to be a custom error handler, but it still would be better to display a standard error page (500 or 503, for example).

It’s not a new trick. It has been known for a long time and often put in use, even by realtime speedrunners. The boss appears in the wall because act2 terrain is not yet loaded.

I’m glad that McBobX is learning about Sonic TAS,
But beleive me, his runs are still a bit raw to make impression.
And the worst thing is that he does not seem to let others point him at his mistakes (as his last submission shows).

Loss of seconds. For instance, NaturelLorenzo is 13 in-game seconds faster.
Usually quite easy unless there are some objects that rely on global timer, but resyncing is still possible even if desyncs come from them…
Something that surprises me is: this guy already made a Sonic submission before, and he was told to check out existing WIPs before submitting his own runs. Did he even read the discussion page?

Once again me and Qwerty were a bit too slow… Anyway, going to watch this run, not expected a Sonic submission today :)
Waduh… A year ago I would exclaim “this is suboptimal!” or something… But now I’m a bit more indifferent and less perfectionist than before…
Yes, I can do it a lot faster.
But, at the same time, Yes, I enjoy the run. So, I’m voting «Yes».
And even if the question on the topic asked me whether this should be accepted or no, I would still vote “yes”. Why? I do not know. Maybe because I feel sorry to disappoint the guys who make so much efforts at TASing this game.
Only one question. Would you be so kind, can you please tell me, do you ever see the WIPs of other TASers? Do you know they have channels on Youtube?
No… Two questions… And the second is: why does the second part of your run look so familiar to me?..

Still long way to go, but my recent progress in MGZ, CNZ and ICZ is a good sign. Given that LBZ is relatively easy (there is an almost-instant level-wrap for each act), the first half of the TAS is close to be done.

Wow, just wow, I’ve just improved 2 zones in my Amy@S3K any% TAS WIP
Marble Garden improved by ~ 10 seconds
Carnival Night 2 improved by ~ 45 seconds
Both improvement come from new shortcuts I found for Amy
I am really happy tonight :)

I know it’s not Lua HUD related, but at least it’s Sonic TAS related, so I’m posting it here instead of the general topic on Gens development.
Could it be possible to make the solidity viewer work properly with the hacks? It works for some of them, but doesn’t for the others. I particularly need it for E-122-Ψ’s Amy in Sonic hack series and also Sonic 2 Pink Edition.

Sonic 2 Pink Edition is a new hack by E-122-Psi, introducing ability to play as Amy and Cream together.
I’ve made a quick TAS of Emerald Hill 1 to check out this hack.
