Just a few weeks ago I had ability to easilly help TASvideos with hosting (I participated in an internet project which rents several Hetzner’s EX10 servers), but today I cannot help even myself… My blog is hosted on a small VPS from Digital Ocean now, because I am cast from the mentioned community. But if you really need some space for free, I am quite sure, you can talk to the current project admins (just PM me to get their contacts).

I may be wrong, but I think there could be space for some creative fancy jumps to the music like ones from AnS&Randil’s NES Darkwing Duck TAS. But I still give it a yes vote.

It is called corner glitch, it’s present in all Sonic games, and it’s trivial to perform in this hack. By the way, the author of that TAS forgot to roll in the slope, hence loosing some frames. I can give you my unfinished gmv of this hack when I come back home on weekend.

Sounds like you could not hex edit the rerecord count as well :)

I just said my opinion on it… Mr McBobX should have read the forum’s topic and participate in collaborative making a new TAS. He didn’t, and now we got this… A run, which is faster than a present one, but still slower than Qwerty’s WIPs. Anyway, I have nothing else to say. Again, this was just my opinion. Because if it was my own TAS project, I would not ignore the recent discoveries.

Sorry for disappointing a Sonic TASer again today, but once again it’s a very clear No from me. First, this sumbission doesn’t beat the latest Qwerty’s results. Second, it even does not abuse all zips and tricks known today. Third, it does not look as a pacifist run. Is it supposed to be a regular TAS? Maybe, but it’s still not good enough. I’d suggest the author better join Qwerty’s WIP and help by contributing input into his project.

As I’ve noticed above, the thing happening here is not horizontal underflow. It’s a rather weird camera glitch.

I have an update, and now I have to completely agree with TASeditor. This is incredibly unoptimized. Consider my Meh as a Nooooooooooo. :) I should have began from Green Hill 1, which I improved by about 2 seconds in a very quick and dirty attempt. Well, I have to say that despite my great experience with Sonic games in general, it is the first time in my life when I’m seeing a level wrap without horizontal underflow. I agree with Malleoz that seeing level wrap in every level looks a bit boring, but I would not dare to vote «No» because of it, at least because some of my WIPs are similar to this. Hovewer, I don’t have a strong wish to give it a «Yes» vote, because the run is abusing a glitch which is not derived from the original games and probably introduced by the romhacker. In my humble opinion, such bugs should be reported to the hack’s developer instead of abusing to TAS the game. Finally, absence of experience with this hack in particular (who the hell is this character?) does not let me judge the optimization level. I tried to improve Green Hill 2, found that it’s easy to cause gravity glitch there (but could not turn it into anything useful), but still improved the level by 1 frame, which is quite insignificant for such a game. Hence, I give it a strong «Meh» vote :)

So, Qwerty simply didn't try to jump, lol... I hate when my idols like Qwerty disappoint me. Anyway, now is the time to try finding a way to take proper Y position quickly enough to be able to reach the boss room (if it's possible there -- I am lazy to see the level map right now). Maybe Tails could help, like in Hydrocity 1
