I have one, I'm just searching for it, sorry for the delay EDIT: I'm stupid I was searching in my other TAS. Maybe a frame when I jump to hit Meteor Parasite (first of the last bosses) or something. I have genuinly no idea what frame would be the best, sorry

My honest (and not really important) opinion is that Vault should stay really objective with clear accepted goals. You could add possible goals, but yeah, if it's not clear, every single possible TAS would be accepted, for every possible category we can imagine. That being said, nice TAS. Not the most entertaining to me, but seems fun :)

To be really honest, I don't understand either with the video or the explanations, that are... Way out of my league to comprehend. I will not vote, because I would vote no for entertainment just because I'm too stupid to understand. This looks like an incredibly well done TAS and I don't want to bring it down. Good job :)

Ok so I have a problem: it desyncs. It happens just after year 3 starts, my character is one frame "early" at the start of Mushroom Forest. I'll try to see if I can correct it with the DTM editor... EDIT: I don't seem to know how to use the DTM editor correctly... I'm... Sad... There is a desync for no reason... If someone finds the problem it would be very appreciated EDIT2: Yeah it seems the only problem is 1 frame. If I could repair it... I'm trying hard, sorry, don't know how to properly edit dtm files

I'm sorry to say, but we have to stop the search. It seems... It's not worth. The event lasts 40 seconds, wich is more time than I can take collecting the same amount of money. I fear it's... Not worth for any%. Sorry. Really wished this discovery could help. Yeah I'm sad

I'll try to give as much information as I can. First, I'll describe the event. In this event, I plan to exchange my bronze for a mythril. I can manipulate the mythril, but I can't manipulate them choosing the good item first. They are those guys, but the other event featuring them: https://imgur.com/he99w5n I need them to ask for my bronze, wich looks like that: https://imgur.com/Twda3Nk You can find the event by going on the crossroad there: https://imgur.com/TBkqUwL The way I search is I move every frame to get a different result. When I get to the 19975th frame, I go back to delay one frame in the artifact selection, then do it again: https://imgur.com/Pk1Hdea If you want to search for it, you can change whatever you want before in the TAS, but just make sure you get the +2 artifact and that you don't go over the 199975th imput (because, you know, standards). I think I'll make like a "tutorial" with screens and information to help anyone who wants to help. Might be the best idea. And no, sorry, no adresses. It's pretty much brute force, searching manually. I don't know how to do it another way.

I actually did get the event while testing "casually". I also got it 3 times since I started searching, but none with the good item. I also know the good item is possible because I got it another time before I was trying to see what I need to get it. I'm 99% sure what I search is possible. That's pretty much the reason I did not abandon yet

Hello guys :) A bit of update I actually restarted an any% because I found a new technique wich could save something like 2 minutes on the published TAS. Unfortunately, it consists at triggering a specific overworld event, wich is rng. And the chances to get the event are as low as they could be. So I'm 3 months (or more, didn't count) in, and I'm still trying to brute force the rng to get it. I'm stuck. I still continue to try a day after another, but I'm simply unlucky. I come here to ask, if anyone wants to help in the search, I would be happy to provide what I know so you can find it, at least the same way I'm searching. It's only if you want, no one have to take any pressure, it's just a little call for help for people who are interested. Whatever happens, I'm still trying, slowly, to get it. Have a good day :)

Hmm, I'm bad at that. Maybe a good frame when I attack the plant-like monster in the second Mushroom Forest (I don't know the frame, I guess I should go for it). Not the boss, the creature just before. Because it drops a mythril and it's kinda important. I don't know x) For the description... It's a rpg created by Square Enix... Hit and run like (but I often manipulate rng to just hit without the bosses attacking me at all hihi). The goal is to get the unknown element as fast as possible to be able to get to the last boss (wich happens to be year 5). Hmm... Omg I'm bad at that x) I fight bosses to get drops of myrrh to sustain my village cristal and advance in the game. I also manipulate RNG to get good drops to get enough money to pay the ferry. It's a diverse world with good music (really good music actually). I use the Selkie tribe, known for good focus attacks. Japanese version is fast because food lasts longer... I'm awfully sorry, I don't really know how to introduce it in a small text. I feel like I could talk about this game for ages (it's my favorite game) but I'm bad at small description. You could say I completely destroy monsters by manipulating them, but it's kinda... Obvious ^^ Sorry again, if you need some other help I'll do my best.

I think the rerecord count should not at all be used to judge the work. We should judge the work, THEN try to find causes, and maybe THEN go check the rerecords to see if it's a possible cause. It's only there to help the autor understand things. It's merely a hint, and should not be at all considered pertinent in the judging. I'll take myself as an example. My first TASes had some rerecords. Then I did another TAS. And it got less rerecords. Why? Because I was getting used to the game, it was flowing better for me, less savestates to do. Do I think my second TAS took less work? No. I'm well aware of my own work. The more I do TASes, the less rerecords I seem to do. I was a bit surprised at first because I was seeing many people judging submissions here and there with the rerecord, even calling statistics like "should have 75% of the movie frames be rerecords" or something like that. I had less rerecords than that, for a 2 hours games. But then, my game has long cinematics everywhere, soo... That's when I realised it was absurd. If I was judged by the rerecords like some do here, I would be automatically rejected. Also funny thing, my last 3 TASes have additionned the rerecords between them even if I start from scratch because I don't really start from scratch ^^ This puts the number way higher than what it actually should be. Well, that's only my opinion. I think it's a mistake to judge movies based on rerecords.

Thank you for your jugement, I really appreciate it. I understand the two runs are a bit similar, so it's totally ok :) For those who want all dungeons runs, I'll still continue to do some if I find faster strats (and I actually think I found one), it will simply not be published here, I'll share on the game thread. Guys I have bad news. It's the bug. At first I was thinking that it only occurs one time, when exiting the shop. But no, it happens everytime I close the menu, wich happens A LOT. I was then thinking a way to skip the merchand. But no. It's Altifaria itself (the city) that causes the bug. Unfortunately, I CAN'T skip Altifaria since it's required for 100%. This means I have to pause the TAS. I could continue, but I just feel the bug is too much. I'll wait for a solution. Sorry again, I was really into the TAS, but this bug... I'll continue to try to find a solution, and will tell you when it's found.
