good to see progress =) sadly I can't really judge it though since it's bad quality (tube'd?) I don't think I had that kung fu theater remote since I don't remember such a long path :p when's the projected completion time of this TAS?

but then that would mean he won't make a 16-star run! funny how that works, no?

provide savestates please.. I can't bother to watch already seen again, and for some reason when I make my own it just goes wrong. I don't care if they're 2 MB or whatever.

Timing of the lift will surely differ when you don't speech skip.

it's funny how you typo'd by typing 'DCK' twice, even though you're the runner of it, and your sig has 'Donkey Kong Country' in it.

twas nice to watch after not having played for years. I really can't help you, since I know so little about the game. just some things look imperfect tho, eg killing the elmer fudds.. but perhaps it can't be done faster, I wouldn't know :p

besides, I remember that the WRs use a long-ass wait in the intro to get the the lift in the best position for the guy to immediately enter it as he gets there and have it close on him.. thus making him arrive at the computer asap. but if you include intro, you're purely going for realtime speed, thus not going to use speechskipping etc, thus the lift would be differently timed then.

I would think that the most time consuming objective would be the guy walking all the way to the computer.. thus you'd need to get him going asap. which means, 1 of the players needs to do the glitch right away, to get there asap. I suggest using the head of the guard. then with the other player do the following fast and see how it plays out: 1) setup door then go back up and glitch to cass 2) go upstairs and do ecm 1 3) go up again and glitch to do ecm 2 4) open lift door

well I just meant I have about every existing video of PD speedruns, and I'm not so sure how up to date the fastest pd video page is. also, I know a fair deal of things. if you post WIPs, be sure to post savestates too, so I can watch them as you progress (and saves me the trouble of making savestates incorrectly :p)

eh.. there's no 'real 100%' really.. and it doesn't matter either, because the way the 100% is defined will be said in the submission. 100% is just the name given to it so you don't have to say it all out everytime. in 'real 100%' you could include stupid stuff like doing every move combination, perform every possible glitch, having been in every single pixel the game has to offer, etc, because otherwise, it wouldn't be 100%. ugh.

where did I say that I fail to trust Alex? so if you think he can do all those records, go ask him why the TAS gets beaten by so much (probably just because they stop timing right after getting last item and thus could plan another route and such)

obviously all those BK 'records' fail by completely failing at having proof.

the door to the tank room.. place it on there and find a way to still warp it.. then right after warping detonate it.. it gives you a boost downstairs, and another one downstairs.there are 2 straight stretches near doak, of which only one is used for a boost in the normal runs. so if you do the other plus the door I mentioned, you've used all 5. you'd just need to shoot all tanks in time then.

wrong, you can use the 2 mines for boosts instead and thus save time.

1.1 looks around much slower than 1.2 ... I wouldn't know if using buttons for input would change any of that.
