That's great news! Could you test things out while you're on it, just recently we started to notice some difference from using widescreen/cinema instead of fullscreen, it seems to be faster on levels like bunker 2 and train (they're pretty complex, without much of straight paths, but many turns and such). but I'd be really happy if you could do some tests for it on each level, we could really use the information for the real records =) and perhaps also see if 16:9 has any effect, or any other settings, who knows. but widescreen/cinema are the main ones, since we're already sure it has to be faster in some cases.

anyone else get Unknown microcode messages with 'Mario Kart 64 (U) [!].z64' ? it works when I select the one mentioned in the message (or which matches best), but it's kind of annoying.

well I have a vid of using a mushroom to counter hitting a mole, but I don't know if it would be faster.

eh.. I don't think it matters, I'm not near an expert though :p I'd say make it so that you can skip cinema asap and still go through door the instant you can go through, without having to stop.

I just mix audio files by making wav of each first, then mixing them with sound recorder (comes standard with windows), then encode to mp3. then you can add it as source audio.

can't load either the m64 or a savestate during dead input frames, at least in this game, there is a ton at the beginning and when loading a level. Just have to wait until you see something show up.

well, I think I might have ducked only JUST before getting there, it's only needed to get through that part, not to fall down ;)

I'm quite sure I have done it without the guard and door closed, but I don't remember any other details, I didn't tape all the time back then =\ I'm about 90% sure I did it backwards once, but don't remember if it was with guard or anything either. well, I know 1 thing; I must have been ducking (once), since you always do only 1 duck for the glitch.

err.. Id say 1:12 is more common for sure, 1:07 is rare as far as I know.. it's all about the lift timing, how well it closes on the programmer's ass :p and being lucky I guess.

Hi Jack! nice to see you post =) for facility, recently it seems as if we found something new: the 2nd msg of trev can come up faster, so would the following video (compared to another facility video) do us believe: http://www.fileupyours.com/files/62126/Leonardo%20Santos%20-%20Facility%20SA%200.55.wmv so I hope you can find out why it comes up faster, it would also help greatly on normal console runs, because the one who compared them says it came up 0,7 sec faster, which is a big time saver.

well, if you've seen the vids he made himself you'd understand why I like the quality :p I'd even like to ask you if you'd be so kind to make avi's of all the other TAS's he's done (of which he still has saves/stuff that's needed), so watching them would be even more pleasurable.

damn that was cool stuff. and the avi looks great. just weird how that drone near the far mainframe didn't shoot (and didn't you shoot it out earlier?)

This is a mere 1 frame improvement over the Phil and Genisto's TAS.
When I follow that link, the time there says 03:23.68. Can anyone explain me how 03:24.35 is 1 frame faster?

This game has a ton of cool glitches imo. I'm only posting because I'm wondering if anyone else knows about some tricks I have found by myself, they're recommended: ULTIMATE MORTAL KOMBAT 3: (b=b, a=a, x=x, y=y, L=L, R=R, D=Down, F=Forwards, U=Up, B=Backwards) How to get all cheats in a row (not my find): F, U, b, b, a, D, U, b, D, U, b, a, B, D, y, B, D, y, y, b, a, D, D, B, a, x, b, a, b, y If I remember right. Now search for the cheat ENABLE PAUSE and turn it on. You can do a lot of fun things with this cheat: *Input moves when the game is paused* This one is easy, but doesn't work for every move, but it will work for most. Just pause the game while fighting, perform the move you want to do (only 1 or it will do the last one) backwards, and unpause. The character will do his move. Example: You want to do Cyrax's Net Attack, which is done B, B, a. Now you do it: Pause, a, B, B, unpause. This means you can do moves without losing real playing time and you're independant of reflexes. *Kitana becomes a fan herself* Choose Kitana as your character or Shang Tsung and morph into Kitana. Do her fan move (F, F, y+b). After the fan hits the opponent and before the fan has left the screen, pause. Now do the move backwards (HOLD y+b, F, F). Now unpause (still HOLDING y+b) and she will become a fan herself! (Now you can release y+b). It looks funny and she can't be swept and has more advantages! She can run against her opponent now and because of that will hit him/her too! (only first time after everytime you do this trick) And she'll fly up out of the screen and you can fall back down when you want and surprise your opponent! The Fatalities will look funny, it's just cool! And if you did this with Shang Tsung, the fan will change from color depending on the character where you morph into. You can find hilarious things doing this and then performing Fatalities and other finishers with different characters! *Kung Lao's Fatality?* Choose Kung Lao as your character and when you have to finish the opponent do his hat slice Fatality backwards (I believe normal F, F, B, D, y and backwards y, D, B, F, F). It can happen that the hat stays crossing the screen in the lowest line and the opponent won't get sliced and Kung Lao will do his winning pose and grab a hat and put it on, but the hat he threw is still crossing the screen (it probably flies circles), so Kung Lao had a secret hat with him all the time! Enjoy!

that very start looks faster for sure, I've always wondered why nobody did a jump to speed it up before, I always used a longjump, but that is probably even better. the 2nd and 3rd red coin look quite improvable?
