[3665] NES Super Mario Bros. "warpless" by MrWint in 18:37.46 It's more entertaining and executed well compared to Lee's. Alongside [3789] NES Donkey Kong, DK Jr., DK 3 & DK Jr. Math by Cyorter in 01:18.39 due to how incredible the 4 games were done in a row. and [3812] NES Super Mario Bros. 3 "warps" by Lord_Tom, Maru & Tompa in 10:24.94 just because it's an extremely well done TAS worth a nomination aswell. Very impressive and entertaining.

DobieStation is so new that we're probably just going to start looking at him in a decent way in five or six years. Some people prefer to start TAS on PCSX2 even with all the Hacks, than waiting for more years.
PCSX2 is still not an optimal, good emulator for PS2 TASes due to it relying on plugins. There's multiple inconsistencies just from slight change for not only plugins but also just a slight difference with your computer, so it never runs a single game well enough to be useful. I'd rather wait for something better, like Dobiestation there, or for the PCSX2 dev team to actually bother to update and change their emulator for the better.

Are you just playing dumb deliberately? 1. Just stated, just because it's acceptable with them, doesn't mean it's acceptable with the main community. When it comes to this, just because they can use an invincibility code or an all abilities code for a category they made up, doesn't mean it's THAT legitimate. 2. That's basically what people are saying and agreeing with, banning specific in-game codes. But there's a funny thing you mention here and i'll bring it up with your Point 4, because it's quite honestly your biggest contradiction here. 3. You can still use alot of this tech without the need of cheating. The logic those runners use with the category is not universally accepted. They can use cheats for their runs if they want, but it doesn't mean the runs are valid just because it's accepted in their circle. 4. Every example you brought up are using LEVEL CODES. WARP CODES. Looking through all of them, i didn't see ANYTHING that screams "All Abilities Cheat Used" or "Used a cheat to gain this many key items so i can skip 90% of the game by going through all the locks". If this were allowed, then you might aswell allow Mega Man TASers and runners to go buck wild on using a code to unlock all abilities you have to unlock before fighting the first boss and act like THAT is a legit run. Level codes are allowed, for the most part. Cheats that unlock or give you items in a non-legit way aren't allowed. This run isn't valid and those RTA runs aren't legit. 5. Good for you. I also like some of the tech used. However, it can be used in a much better way instead of the way it was done here and the way it WAS done here hurts this TAS greatly, so ultimately it's a no for me. Lastly, whatever merits this TAS has became null and void once the rules were broken. Call me an "elitist" all you want, but she's in the wrong and you're really only weakening this TAS further with this pathetic evidence.

You can still have an interesting and entertaining TAS without the need of cheats. It is very possible to make such a TAS with this game. The cheats you used ultimately make this look extremely weak and boring, no matter what tricks you used here. It's also, as Memory stated, against Movie Rules to use cheats in the way you did. Just because your community accepts it, doesn't mean the whole TAS community is going to give you a passing mark and a pat on the back. Give us a normal any% tas with some of what you showed and maybe that'll be accepted and good, but otherwise, this TAS is doneso.

I will say that most of the missions from what i saw, if not almost all, can be connected with what Spikestuff brought up. I won't go that picky on you with it, but it's noticeable for me aswell. What i will get picky with is some of your movements from Mission 10 and 11 and a movement from 13 that i honestly think wasted way too much time for a TAS. First was Mission 10 with that mortar rifle shot. It wasn't really that funny and it wasted more time than a more direct shot. Mission 11, the mortar shot where you tried to get the pig into the minefield. You say it's too far for him to reach it. Then why bother? You actually wasted time doing that, especially with the death explosion from the enemy destroying that piece of wall, that actually wasted time due to being unskipable. You could've just killed him away from the walls instead, your shot would do the work no problem. But your use of Rimski in Mission 13... i honestly think that's the biggest downfall to me. First off, you going for that health pickup. It honestly didn't do that much. Maybe it could've helped with avoiding the speed slowdown from low health, but i doubt that. But the worst part was your positioning after throwing the grenade. I don't really know what you were thinking with going right next to the pillbox there and letting it smack Rimski down the hill. The next time you used Rimski, you went all around the hill to climb back up and take care of the OTHER pillbox. I felt like you would've been better off throwing the grenade at a distance that both isn't close to the pillbox and doesn't make you fall off. Sure, he might aim at Rimski instead, which may have been a bit slow, but it still would've been faster than the 10+ second walk around you did there. And if he came out of the pillbox, which is sometimes the case when close to an enemy pillbox, that's an even better advantage to kill him off with the mortar at the end. This would've saved you more time from what i saw. As it stands, i see your Mission 13 to be the weakest because of this. Ultimately you did manage some very good runs in some missions, especially Mission 24. I was very impressed with that. But there's definitely alot of room for improvement. So i give it a meh.

There's quite a few, but most of them are obscure. Though for the most part: Suzuki Bakuhatsu: Even though it mostly doesn't have much of a soundtrack, when there is music, it's REALLY good music. Sadly, the only song from it around, as far as i know, is the ending music. Link to video Incredible Crisis: Very catchy, very awesome and it really fits the game aswell with it's fast pace and upbeat nature for the most part. Link to video Simpsons Skateboarding: ...No, this isn't a joke. Outside of the menu song, the soundtrack of this game is actually pretty good. One of my favourites is the Springfield Gorge. Do you think we'll ever get a good Spider-man game with Spider-man 2's web physics? That would be the bomb.
If done by the right people, then yes. Otherwise, probably no. "How many ripped off games are there that are actually better than what they rip off?"
