Link to videoFelt like throwing this out there. Basically, the change they made to Blaze's Defense Special (which isn't listed in the v7 patch notes) mostly ruined her ability to combo off of it. From what I saw, it tends to cause a wall bounce or send the victim to the ground, which really killed part of the fun of using Blaze.

As with a few other games such as Mickey's 2nd Magical Quest in the Great Circus Mystery, the lowest difficulty setting is used! Perhaps add this bullet point to the summary?: "- Uses easiest difficulty" From what I've read on this game's respective thread, the lag doesn't appear to be emulated properly, so console verification wouldn't be possible. Anyways, I enjoyed reading the comments about the game mechanics, stages and boss battles.
I invite anybody to try this out in RTA and see if it really is that easy, though.
Ah yes, Pluto. He's capable of destroying other large robots, as seen in the manga and pretty much all three anime adaptations (though I've yet to watch the 2003 anime, but I shall watch it soon).

The chain powers seem to be higher than they should in the N64 port.

How would a TAS of a game that requires you to login to their servers work?

I decided to try out this ROM Hack for myself. Mega Man 7 ROM Hacking has been taken to new levels! All new stage layouts, new enemy and boss behavior, and more! I like that one enemy that acts like Sir Kibble from Kirby, and the behavior of Peterchy (the walking eye who normally appears in Stages like Spark Man and Freeze Man's). And whenever you fall, as long as you have enough HP, Beat is always there to save you! I like the Mega Man 11 style weapon switching by holding X and the direction based on the character select screen position, and holding A for Rush, Beat & Eddie items. The hack supplies you with so many lives, Energy Tanks and Weapon Tanks! It even increased how many tanks you can hold at once. The Slash Man boss fight is a lot more tolerable here, without the random falling ketchup thingies. Slash himself kinda channels Street Fighter's Claw a bit. Cloud Man's weapon feels like Splash Woman's Laser Trident with how it can quickly penetrate enemies. Overall, this ROM Hack is worthy of an entry at TASVideos.

How about Happy Ever After, an unreleased movie tie-in platformer? EDIT: I meant Happily Ever After, sorry.

Some of thee character sprites look like model renders a la the GBA version of Nicktoons Unite. The background graphics look better than the sprites TBH. The platforming is basic for the most part and as previously stated, feels slow, but for a game based on an educational show, I guess that's okay. But certainly not for entertainment purposes. Those aside, congrats on the improvement!

One thing that makes the SFC version faster, is that the scene of the defeated opponent falling off the screen can be skipped.

Why is the Japanese version used? What are the regional difference(s) that make it preferred? I like the way the protagonist climbs, but the entertainment isn't there with this game, so I will refrain from voting.

Before the balance patch, Cherry used to hold the fastest RTA time by Pikachu, at least for the main cast. I think a predefined save with a verification movie should be permitted for SOR4. Once the game is cleared on any difficulty (even on Easy), then Arcade, Boss Rush and Mania difficulty are unlocked. Though, I don't know what's the fastest way to farm Lifetime Points in order to unlock all the Retro characters.

Metal Slug 6 is Atomiswave, instead of Neo Geo.

I like the concept of clearing multiple game instances as different characters with the same inputs. Hopefully our feedback will outweigh the need to modify the game in order to play as Zero in the intro stage, which normally can't be done in X6.

I wonder how well the vaccines are working out. On the recent occasions I went out, fewer people were wearing masks. But even then, I kinda fear that measures against COVID can be penetrated.

Sadly this version doesn't have dash jumps, unlike the Genesis version of Battletoads & Double Dragon.

The ball doesn't launch on its own, and since the movie ends after defeating Rayquaza, we must make inputs outside the movie to reach the high score screen. It would take a lot of time to get game over, especially with the ball savers. In case one would like to do a category where they catch all the Pokémon that can be obtained in the game; you can menu out of the game or soft reset after catching a Pokémon, each time the Pokéball regains its movement after the score tally.

By "default characters", would Rex's palette swap counterpart, MC Fire count as one? The differences with the characters' palette swaps are purely cosmetic when playing as them (i.e. they deal the same damage). I don't know of any gameplay differences with their palette swap selves, besides the computer having upgraded attack power when they use them (as if the game wasn't difficult enough, especially against Rex/MC Fire, Stump/Buff and Webra/Spidra when playing as Rex/MC Fire!). As it stands for now, I look forward to future discussion on the Vault rules pertaining to using a character locked behind a code (that makes the game much easier, has a large advantage over the rest of the cast or both) for the fastest completion. Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention, is that all characters' palette swap counterparts start with different sets of items. The item sets are same between human's 1st match and the computer.

The developers must have known how unbalanced the characters are in this game, so they lock the other characters in 1-player mode behind codes. While the game reveals the character codes when they're defeated, I think just using Rex, a sub-optimal character would be more impressive but much slower.

I used Lexilogos' keyboard to type Fatman in Japanese: ファットマン (MD) I think this is one of the worst fighting games I've ever played. The character roster and concept are a bit interesting, and unlike Heavy Nova, the mirror matches have palette swapping. I don't like the fact that you have to enter codes to play as other characters in 1 player mode, and Rex, the character you get to play as by default is probably one of the worst in the game. The range on his normals is terrible, unlike say, Stump who reminds me of Slimer. Imagine if people actually played this game competitively.

A wish I had has been fulfilled! I wanted to like this game, but the gameplay... oh the game gets too difficult by the 2nd world! To bounce higher off of enemies, I can't simply keep the jump button held before landing on the enemies, I have to press and hold jump as I hit them in order for it to work. Then, assuming I do manage to make it that far, I must confront the dog with the French horn, one of the toughest bosses in the game who can produce his musical notes faster than you can destroy them. Enemies can take you out too easily. The stage layout on a few of the stages look like they repeat themselves. Fun fact: This game's first world music sounds similar to a BGM from Mappy Kids for the Famicom. I didn't even know the game featured warp doors. I liked the sprite glitch with the Malstesers thingy at the Crazy King boss.

I found this quite interesting, that a user named PolPon makes videos of themselves finding Game Genie codes in NES games. One time, I was looking for a code where Mario always appears big. I browsed through the RHDN forums and found PolPon, who fulfilled my request. Link to video This code where you can wall jump in mid-air in Batman (NES) also caught my attention: Link to video

Streets of Rage 4 could benefit from a save-anchored movie so that the highest difficulty is unlocked, whenever a Switch emulator gains TAS capabilities or another way to TAS the game exists. Without using a save, as well as avoiding some sort of New Game Plus (in terms of TASVideos), would a starter character like Quadrick be used? It appears he has wider bullets, but still not as large as Dark Boshy's.
