Yeah, he often throws up every totema bombs as earlier as possible. I don't remember every fight he uses them but he sometimes has missions with more ennemies that could be sped up thanks to saving the bombs. So, in the end, the white mage ended up as a bait target and nothing else. The only use I see is to manipulate enemies' positions, like against the 3rd totema. Although in this fight, only 2 or 3 characters at most could hit the boss, so maybe that white mage could be completely skipped? 3rd totema could have been better manipulated so to deliver it more hits per turn - at the fight's end he ends up in a corner and could be hit only once or two per turn at most. Otherwise he seems to have a quite good RNG manipulation. Montblanc gets to learn how to boost speed for all the team and then how to put asleep the opponent team (thanks to RNG manipulation). Other characters are just at their bulkiest classes with all-or-nothing attacks and ATK-boosting moves when possible, and the Bangaa makes Montblanc attack more quickly (or instant attack? I forgot which one it is). That's a quick setup to compensate the lack of xp starting mid-game, the longest to reach being the speed related attacks.

On the fight against the 2 Bangaas early game (around 00:10:00), either he could have had better RNG and crit earlier, or with the same crits he could have OHKO the white Bangaa while the Moogle achieves the red one. I think that he puts extra fighters so that they learn their first moves and switch to another job more quickly. That means all his actual party members are going to see play in every mission… On the 2nd mission, at the mountain, near the end he could have done self-damage on the Moogle to avoid having to move. Those two opponents didn't got the chance to play anyway, so that could have saved around a second. At the 3rd mission around 00:28:00, the allies' AI is so terribad… If only we could prevent the AI from doing such bad moves.

I finished my studies by showcasing my internship to my teachers, by doing so I got 2 nice job opportunities in Berlin, and now you post this TAS. There are two meanings in these signs: today is a good day, and Germany is wonderful.

Half the movie (if not more) is brand new content, and the part from any% is short enough to stay enjoyable. I found this run both entertaining and worthy of its own branch. Of course, this is just one viewer's opinion.

The game requires a mouse, so it is likely unsupported by Hourglass. Still, if it works, this game is a point&click: the part where TAS superpowers matter is really small. The length of such a TAS is likely to be close to the length of a Let's Play. That's why point&clicks could be denied Vault. If you would like to make a TAS, I advise you to pick another game. If you would like to provide a video about this game, I think streaming regular gameplay would be both easier and more interesting.

Watching this run made me wonder if there was a game based on Boku no Piko.

A Samsara's submission wouldn't be complete without a high level of sarcasm in the description :p Yes vote.

Maybe add in the description why you are able to fly ? I got the answer on the Wikipedia page, but you can't fly in most platformers.

Except that such runs would be indistinguishable from human play... so what's the point in doing them with TAS?
Good point. The interest I saw was to make a complete game, instead of showing segmented mini-games. On this video it is quitte apparent that Luigi is doing nothing. Not sure what a whole run would look like, and that might not be so entertaining…

I didn't got the time to pass by ^^ It seems I have an account on freenode permanently logged while I am not. Not sure I could still contribute in any way, I only practised RoR & web for 6+ months.

Hey, if you need some help regarding English, there is quite enough French-speaking native people around here, feel free to ask ;) (translating Warepire's post) If you would like to continue discussing this game, you should rather create another topic, as this one is only for people to say "Oh a TAS of this game would be nice" in case a TASer has no clue what to do.

You have the right to find them boring, however "just finishing the game" has been challenged, tested, and improved to death. The only way to improve any% would be either by trying everything randomly (that sometimes work during an RTA on twitch), or by targeting a whole different goal. Currently 0xA presses is asking for some hot glitch hunting for really specific levels, but by glitch hunting something bigger might be found… ACE for example. tl;dr: Freedom, do&watch whatever you want, we'll see what will happen.

I'd like to see it on Youtube, if it won't be submitted here. However, concerning the wrong warp, the input file would be really welcome, as it would allow to investigate on the whole memory state around the time the wrong warp occurs. Even though the emulator isn't to the liking of the TAS encoders :)

A few pages ago, they were flamed for the emulator they took to do the TAS.
