What is protein folding and how is folding linked to disease? Proteins are biology's workhorses -- its "nanomachines." Before proteins can carry out these important functions, they assemble themselves, or "fold." The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways remains a mystery. Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. "misfold"), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.
It actually helps to find why those disease appear and how to cure them. But if I use computer, I might go to World Community Grid which covers those project AfricanClimate@Home Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together FightAIDS@Home Help Conquer Cancer Human Proteome Folding 2 I think that it can be useful, if it can help those who find cure I think it worth giving an helping hand.

Bittorrent also consumes a non-trivial amount of CPU processing power. So it's a no-go.
Depending on your bittorent client. With uTorrent, the CPU usage is less than 2% of the CPU with 27 Torrents where 6 of them are actives. (Where I Upload them)

Yeah I know, I looked at the forums of Folding@Home telling various configuration. I'll go with some of their tips on how to build it. By the way, linux will be booted from a small USB Key.

It might save a couple of frame to take Gort before the scene with Kane, I looked at the path you took, and it might save a couple of steps...

Hi, i'm looking to buy a cheap, low-cost and energy efficient computer. It must run linux (saves on Windows price) It must be energy efficient (a low power consumption) It must be small (the space is a mather in my case) It must be cheap (the price is also a mather because I plan on buying more than one) This computer will run 24/24. Do you have any idea about what kind of computer I could get ?

During the figth of the BlackTyrano, you use Falcon hit and then a Volt Bit, is there a reason why don't use Volt Bit all the time as it seems stronger.

Well it really happen often, but it seems to freeze the emulator for a couple of seconds, and then it unfreeze, but the game does not desync. I think it's more an emulator problem.

If it's possible, for those who don't have linux installed on their system, Ubuntu now have a software that can install a Dual boot on your windows partition without having to change your partition. That way, you can install linux like any other software and it can even be removed in the Add/Remove Software.

You can see that the administrators of the forums doesn't fully trust savestate, and they even recommend not using them for a full run because they can left junk in memory and that this junk isn't cleaned between two gameplay.

That's pretty much someone right. And I don't think we can blame him. Would you want to share your paycheck with me please ? Or maybe you would want to share your work with me, but we'll just split the paycheck in two.

It's not something that bring a lot of excitement, but I think that it's pretty fun to see some unseing stuff from Super Mario Bros 3. It's a Yes vote in the concept demo.

Re: Youtube: That's why we have the "concept demos" section. I think it's an underutilized category and something like this would be perfect for it, especially if it utilized another information method such as subtitles or an expanded video with an infobox to the right (or similar methods of informing what is going on).
I totally agree with Xkeeper. There's a lot of entertaining stuff that could be put in this section.

Actually, the development of pSX seems to be very slow if not to an halt. It's been a a while since there was a new version and as I remember correctly, some people don't work on free software all day long. Even if he is able to code a pSX emulator, that doesn't mean he didn't get a life. Seems like I'm with Phil on that one, pSX author doesn't own anything and can do pretty much what he want with his software.

Seems like a task for a bot :P I think it could be optimised to test every movement, and verify which route is faster. Might be easy to optimise it to not test every route but only those that might be the fastest.

Yeah, the Nazca ship might be what triggers her. By the way, with the walk on everything cheat, you can test some strategy. I read that on the forum of shiningforce.

May is optional, it's a Ranger (centaur archer). You get many character, but as I said, you can remove character by putting them in the caravan. Luke is really a poor fighter, even with great training. And the battle with Kraken will be something if you are very low leveled. Skreetch is optional, but he is a flyer that you get later in the game. You'll be able to take no one, but then you may miss boost of Karna if it's useful. I don't think there's any trick to get a ring to not crack. Mitril can be sold and the two that I pointed out are one step (one square) away from your way, so it might be good to take those and sell them to be able to buy enought weapon. And there's a third one that you can get just where you put the wooden panel. It's about 2-3 steps away from your way. (It's in the sand square)
