pSX is aimed at emulating the most perfectly a Playstation, it would be the emulator of choice for TASing, if it wasn't closed source.

It's funny how you use the word impossible from the beginning of this little battle, and a lot of time, it is proven possible. Could you please stop discouraging people and let them try for them self. That's just boring, and you do exactly the contrary of what a community is supposed to be. That's just very very very boring to see post about you arguing about every one on this thread ... Anyway just my two cents.

I doubt that it's a GoodSNES rom. :/ EDIT : I've been able to watch it, pretty nice improvement ;P Just like the other megaman :P

mr_roberts_z : It just seems that when you turn around to prepare for the BLJ, sometimes it seems like it's flowing, and other time it seems like Mario is "braking" to take it's position. Like in some it seems to turn around without losing speed, and other time it's speed seems to go to 0 to take it's position. If someone have a way to verify this very fast, I don't want you to lose time on this.

Thank you Comicalflop EDIT : Is it me or the BLJ you do at the start of every star (starting with the second star) are different each time. It might just be me, and it's surely optimal, but it seems to take less time on some occasion.

Darkkobold : After some research, I found that only super change the stats of enemies, the other difficulties only change the AI. Anyway ;) I'm eagerly awaiting for your next wip :P

Wow ;) I'm pretty sure that the grow rate won't increased that much unless some other console get emulated well. Most interesting game have been TASed and people are trying to beat those time. I hope to see some new game soon !

Well it's shorter if you go on easy, but that's not the point of a TAS :P Because it is really difficult, I'm a hard fan of this game, and when I replayed the game, I had a lot of difficulty to defeat the first battle.

Well that's the reason he should go with Ouch :P I remember having a lot of difficulty beating Ouch and that's a good reason enough to choose that difficulty :P

I tried it, although my texture don't show up correctly, it play full speed, maybe a little too fastest than on my N64.

Wouldn't NFL Blitz be a good entertaining TAS ? It's pretty fast It's unique Amusing And you can luck manipulate it to smash the opponent while you run with the ball. Anyone could do a little demo ? I can't make Mupen to work properly. But I'm playing it these days with a friend, it's a great competition. Anyway, it would be nice to see a demo of it.

Well when it's easier, more people can work with it. Even if you go the lazy way, is there really a point to save a couple of kb if that means harder to code ?

I don't think it would be hard if someone have spare time, to develop a little application that use a RichTextBox and format the output to handle the submission mechanism.

Let the TASer play with this in their profile page ? Like a section that tells which games the player is working on. If someone is working in secret, he doesn't need to put it there.

It's really useful, and it's really faster than normal game play. You should try it, you'll see a net difference. The cursor is faster, I think that the screen is faster too, and the enemies decision are faster I think.

I'll be sure to look at this as soon as I get home :) EDIT : you should use the code that speed up the cursor, it would be really useful and it would be a major time saver. EDIT : taking damage is a must, and it would add some diversity. I felt a little suspense when I was watching. Like omg, what he's doing, he wouldn't kill Chester in the first battle, he need it ! I think you can play with this to create suspense and to entertain. But use the speed "cheat" which is only used to make the game goes a little faster.

Good news, I hope you'll be able to do it ;) I have much more knowledge in Shining Force 2 than with Shining Force 1. I hope I'll be able to help you more than I could in Shining Force 1.

If there was a semi-automatic "word record" category (alongside the other categories) then there would be less controversy about this subject.
I agree with this. It would be nice to have a pure speed category.

He never said he was TASing. But then again, he could just use an unmodified version of FCEU. (If the unmodified version doesn't allow up/down left/right)
