The timesaver is incredible, but it's far for optimal, that's a very good first TAS. You'll be a great TASer in no time ;)

It's faster, but I found it less entertaining. It might just be me.

I would be interested in seeing any kind of movie file (VLC can play almost anything)

That would be nice, even, you could maybe add another domain name, to split the two section. And I don't know if a forum split would be a nice idea of not, that I agree with Warp

What does Linux even have to do with video capturing? It just allows some more automatization, but nothing drastically different. Also, most of the active encoders are using Windows.
It was only informative. Anyway I'm the first to try an answer to his question, as no one before me did . . .

Speed is something, but if you kill enemies before they reach the screen, that's just plain boring.

DaShiznawz, you should dump the avi first, and then take a video editor, and try various settings to lower the quality to be acceptable. I think I didn't saw the comment at the start of the video. There's also minibosses that play some song of megaman 2 that seems of higher quality that this video.

DarkKobold, you can create a google webpage, there's 100megs of storage there. in the first battle of chapter 6, I didn't see what you gave to max, but if it's a ring, isn't it faster to equip him just before a battle ? Also wouldn't it be fast to group people together and move them ? I don't know how faster is the cursor, but it might be faster to move the group toward the battle. Wouldn't it be faster to exchange item in the menu before the battle, because you seems to stay still and lose turn.

Well if Bleu suck, then you can't rely on him thus making Amon and Balbaroy very important. Buying weapon is not a concern, unless you can't take an enemy with a double hit. Are there any battle that requires the two bird until you can promote one and give him a better sword ? For promotion, I don't know what are the consequence of promoting early or late, and you'll lose time if you split the promoting in two parts. I would say (if time wasn't a concern) to promote only those that could be upgrade with a better weapon doing more damage (if they can't take enemies in one turn.)

Bump, I know you said you wouldn't have time to work on this for a couple of time, but do you have an estimated date that you'll work back at this ?

AVG is not very good at finding viruses, I had all sort of problem with it. I prefer Avast! (It is free too)

Would be nice if there were included in snes9x because most subtitles will be for long movies.

Well I think that it could be very useful, but not necessary, (we don't use it now and it's not that of a problem) but it could be nice if it could be implemented easily, if it's hard, them forget that until someone have time to improve it.

I agree, there won't be any suprise like the 1 star run of Super Mario 64. Anyway let's say we'll see this in a couple of years ;)

And about the view post since last visit, that return the list of thread with new post, isn't it something lazy ? But if you implement search by date, you could implement search post since last visit in a thread. It wouldn't be that hard.

I know that it's currently possible to see the first new post on a thread, but it's only possible the first time you select the thread even if you are not on the page with that new post. Also I've read a couple of time something like "Oh I didn't see your post because it was on the page before this one" So would it be possible to add something after the page number to be able to jump directly to the first new post ?

I can say that it's perfect, for the moment, until someone finds a fastest way to do it

Reading this topic reminds me of a certain person who thought everything was perfect. Thus I don't want to mention his name here, but anyway . . .

It seems like this, that's pretty bad, nothings perfect, and I doubt that there will be an ultimate metroid run that will have the lowest time and that won't be improvable.
