I may be wrong, but I'm fairly sure that the 'perfect' game for both Pacman and Mrs. Pacman can be fairly easily done on console without the use of tools.

Wasn't this game one of the first games released to N64?
If that qualifies the game for runnability, then there are a lot of crappy games that should be shoe-ins!

Voting yes, although I think I see a few points of route improvement. I'll catch you in IRC if I can.

100% for this game would be pretty boring. You would have to do a lot of kinstone farming in order to get things in a good fashion, and all of that added unskippable fusion and cinematic that occurs from it would get tiresome. Also, wouldn't 100% require you to get every collectable from Kakariko? Would'nt that take at least 15 minutes to complete on its own?

From now on, whenever someone makes a movie that will be over 1 hour long, a savestate should be offered at every 50000 frame interval. It would help a lot. e: Movie looks good so far, but I think it might be faster to have Nina not attack in any non-boss fight. The time it takes for her to cast spells is too long for what little damage they do.

You're not explaining your faster slope climbing, though.

I like what you've done so far, although it isn't much. Still, I'm sure someone will get a bit upset that all the fights aren't theoretically perfect, but whatever. Also, chiming in that I would rather see a run for BoF 1 or 3, not 2.

'faster slope climbing'? Also, you can't really patent techniques. Otherwise, I demand that you stop using my backdashing technique.

Nightcom's run was a newgame+ with a whole lot of stuff on it. If I had a Claimh and the Chaos Ring and all that other stuff, I would probably be sub10 for sure. However, I think mine will be around 14-18 minutes, give or take.

It looks good, aside from what I mentioned at that bone pillar in IRC. Keep it up.

What do you mean? Is there a run currently being done in the "warp" category? What is the difference between my route idea and a full warp category?
Yes, I am doing it. If you check the actual Aria thread, you'll see like 5 pages of work being done on it. The difference between your route and mine is that you're killling Death; you can go straight from Great Armor to Balore using a warp, and then going from the Arena to Chaos fairly quickly as well. Your path skips getting Giant Bat, which lets you skip ALL of the chaotic realm.

The three categories for Soma are any%, 100%, and warp. You're mixing any% and warp.

Do you mind if I ask a few questions about C:AoS? - How do you guys move so quickly? How do you airdash through enemies? - How does one go about luck manipulating enemies for souls (i.e. Manticore)?
-With Soma, you have to use the efficient portion of the backdash, then hop over to reset it. Watch the published movie to see this. You can't airdash through any enemies unless you kill them with the hit that accompanies it. -Brute force, usually. Atma tends to settle for waiting frames, though.

I have some issues with this statement, but I'm not able to get on IRC and talk to you, Atma. I think its possible to hit 2 times, if not 3, with the axe.

Voting no, because I'm staunchly opposed to using SRAM. edit: I DID watch it, and it was enjoyable. Still, the vote stands. edit2: graham 2 has some big flaws that Atma is too lazy to fix.

Someone should probably fix the title of this thread, unless there is a Donkey Kong County...

The general idea for submissions is that we are supposed to play the hardest difficulty that comes from box settings. Anything less is usually rejected, and anything harder that requires SRAM is usually frowned upon because it isn't reliable. The reason that people are averse to you making a hard run is not because it will be slower or whatever, it's probably because our rules, although ammendable, don't accept any movies that need special treatments.

Hahahaha, that first coreX barely got a slash off... I really wish I could find something to say that could help you with this, but it seems that you've got it all under control. Very impressive. What is with all of those random shots, though? You did it in the first vertical shaft, and I'm guessing it gave you a nice altitude bump, but then you did it randomly after the first extra missile pack. PS I appreciate how you made the Charge Beam fight a lot more entertaining. edit: I'm probably wrong, but I think you missed a missile pack right after the Charge Beam fight.

Aww man, where's Zurreco? Just when I was getting into this soap opera our allstar cast goes on hiatus.
From my time on the forums, I've learned that following threads like this is rarely worth the time. 99% of the time, the people claiming to make a run either back out or make terrible attempts.
