It could at least be done on the pacifist movie perhaps? Well, duh, you have to kill an enemy to do it :S Maybe a 1 player (non-pacifist) movie that uses this bug would be more appropriate than a pacifist run as the complimentary run on the site.

Nice movie, I vote yes (though a rather late yes vote :P) One possible optimization though: It seems you can summon player 2 at anytime and there is a lot of lag in the first stage. Perhaps you should wait until the boss fight to bring player 2 in. I didn't notice anywhere that player 2 was saving time until then, and it would reduce much of that lag.

Very cool game :) It is like NES Pinballquest ony better. I was very entertained by this movie, especially after you got the yoshi...balls? It also seems well optimized. Easy yes vote. Also, I will be accepting for publication and begin encoding.

Looked good to me... perhaps you can go around the tank instead of crashing into it, and keep the jeep longer?
Actually, it isn't possible without waiting a long time for the tank to move out of the way, and even then it is impossible on the next one. So regardless, it is much slower to keep it.

I just wasted the merc in order to not have a merc bonus. 1) the boss isn't damaged until the red health blocks appear 2) Mercs only do 3 damage every 2 frames on this boss (on the first boss it was possible to do 20 initial damage + 3 every two frames). 3) The upgraded regular weapon does 4 damage so it was faster than using mercs.

I have decided to make an improved version of this game. here is a wip of the 1st 2 levels. It is 341 frames ahead of gathers published movie. It plays arcarde mode on hardest difficulty with faster smarter enemies just like the published movie. I am using GENS9z for the recording. Any feedback would be much appreciated :)

Obvious yes vote. This run was magnificently done. And I understand how near impossible it is to manipulate luck as much as you guys did. That is incredible. Congratulations.

I have this same problem.

Due to a problem with my gens emulator, I am unable to make a movie snapshot for this game. I someone could pick one out and post it, that would be great, thanks :)

Could someone do a screenshot for this game? If someone posts the screenshot here, I will at it to the movie. Right now, I am having problems with my Gens emulator and can't make screenshots for some reason.

Voting no. I find this game quite unsuitable for TASing. The optimal solution for each level is immediately obvious, and the same for each level. And I don't find the solutions to be interesting to watch nor impressive. Moozooh's idea about playing by drawing doesn't sound good either. Then it is just pictionary with a few enemies. Still not something I would enjoy watching.

There are occasional potions throughout the movie that allow glover to fly for a short time but they wear off. Perhaps this was part of your confusion.

Nice improvement to the published movie. Looks more optimal and more entertaining. I vote yes.

The weirdest TAS on the site gets even weirder.

Entering your own name should be acceptable. That arguably has some entertainment value.

It's two seconds longer because the 1 minute mode is not entered on the first possible frame to affect luck (this was unintentional) and that at the end, when it says you win and the board is cleared and water drips off, pressing start to go to the enter name screen is not pressed on the first possible frame. These two, subtract a few frames from a shorter name of Deign compared to Comicalflop amounted to the time difference.
Even though it doesn't aim for fastest time as a primary goal, menus and whatnot should be done on the first frame possible. Unless of course if it is to manipulate luck.

I pretty much agree with everything Bisqwit said. It was cute, but I don't think it should be published.

I voted meh. It was an awfully repetitive game. I didn't vote no because it WAS 2 player which made the puzzles shorter and more interesting. It also added complexity to the optimal paths. But it still didn't hold my interest too well. It seems like one of those games that is only interesting to those that know it well enough to already know the level layouts. Unfortunately, not many people know the game.

I have done some tests and I can indeed save time with this glitch. Suprisingly, it won't save that much time considering how severe it is. A glitch that allows you to go off screen, screen wrap, and walk through any object you please would mean a savings of minutes in any other game. Here, it is frames, maybe a few seconds at most. Anyhoo, I am cancelling this submission and have begun work on an improved one.

Wow, very nice. You obliterated Comicals score :P Easy yes vote. Btw, why is your movie 2 seconds longer?

You have a yes vote from me. I think this run has all the elements for a good TAS. It is certainly a superplay of the game, and greatly differs from what a human could do. There are many radical shortcuts which were awesome. The screen jerking thing was cool because I knew it was a result of super fast human switching. The game is interesting, especially for a puzzle game. It is also rich with tactics allowing more many TAS possibilities. The route planning is impressive. If cound it a bit long though. I was engaged until about the 20min mark, and I started looking for something else to do. But I do find the later levels different enough from the first levels, that it is not too repetitive (I just reccomend watching in two sittings if you don't already know the levels well).
